Just have this weird feeling that we lose to Pittsburgh. The world then comes to an end on this board with everyone freaking out about the Patriots and our playoff chances. We then go out and beat the Patriots in New England the following week.

Don't say this I'm going to the game which is now a night game & I have to work 3 hours away the next morning.

Where did Wire say that this morning?  I could only find the tweet form "rod francis", a guy who looks like he follows the NHL and "Bills" from Montreal.

Now players were paying "cleaning ladies" to let them into opposing team players' rooms to see if they "accidentally" left playbooks in the trash?

If you haven't read this https://www.espn.com/espn/otl/story/_/id/13533995/split-nfl-new-england-patriots-apart you really should.

Oh relax.  The point was that Tre didn't immediately hand it to the ref saying "I'm not supposed to see this, can you return it to the Ravens bench?".  He read it because he recognized what it was.

And is it even possible NFL teams have no mechanism to collect sensitive team strategy material on the road other than: 'make sure, after you have studied the printed gameplan for this game that you immediately deposit the playbook into you motel room garbage can!  Come on!

And the Browns gave the Bengals the original of the video?  I thought they gave it to the NFL.

Accidents happen, and the tip of the iceberg, what we know is that they were paying cleaning ladies to go into rooms they didn't own or rent out to sort through trash or allow them to enter the rooms, probably illegally. The cleaning ladies don't have authority to allow random people into big chain hotel rooms for money under the table.

And I am pretty sure that the Bengals are the ones that took the tape.

Players left that stuff behind in the trash after they vacated the hotel room, that is on the players

The players accidentally leaving something behind or throwing something in the trash makes it there fault? Sounds like victim blaming "it was the wives fault she stayed with her abusive husband!"

When a team goes out of there way to get information that they should not be privy to, and is clearly against the rules, it is cheating, they didn't just stumble upon it.

Seriously??? People think purposely trying to get the other other teams playbook every game, then using that to your advantage is not cheating?

They don't have it.  NFL does.

Really WEO? Tre White joking about picking up ravens trash is the same as going into players rooms after they leave and paying cleaning ladies to collect stuff in rooms?

It's amazing to me that some people think we are likely to lose to a 3rd string QB. This defense. Losing to a 3rd string QB.

Exactly, it's like they don't understand how good our D is. Hodges just played the worst D in the league(giving up most fantasy point by far to qbs) as a warm up for this game, while we are third best against QB's. Only way we lose is some clear terrible referee calls, even then we have overcome that accept against pats and Ravens.

yea its ok to be wrong though buddy! ya just gotta own it, you thought the Bills would be definitely favored over the Steelers...which is nuts considering they are pretty even teams defensively and the bettors hate the bills offense (for good reason) and the Steelers are at home, and thats not how Vegas works haha.

They have a nice winning streak because they have played nobodies...Duck isnt good. Mason wasnt good.

Heck yea we should beat them, and heck yea im gonna win some money!!!

Sorry "buddy" when this conversation originally started I had lol'd at the Bills opening as an underdog, which they didn't, did I miss something?

Also the Bills are 8-4-1 ATS 3rd best this year & 70% of bettors are taking Buffalo with the points, if you know what that means then you would not think bettors hate the bills (for good reason). I laughed at the Cowboys spread to "buddy." I guess you are one of the few who thought the 6.5 over under win total was a tough bet.

My experience is that Bills fans are mostly nice to visitors with visiting jerseys etc, and I was a season ticket guy for 30 years.  (drunks excepted, but they hate everybody)  However, a family member wore his Bills jersey to a game in Pittsburg a while back, and, it wasn't pretty.  He had to leave the game because of the abuse from the Pitts fans.   I predict things will not be entirely rosy next Sunday night.......

I'll be there with a clan, can't wait to hear them crying about "'if we only had big ben."

what on earth are you talking about? Why am I "off the bandwagon"? Because im pointing out your wrong about a betting line?

Im as "all in" on this Bills team as you can possibly be, I firmly believe we are super bowl contenders. What does that have to do with this conversation?

Because you waited to try to say ""got you" when the Initial line was (-1)Bills and you forgot to mention I said Mason Rudolph led Steelers. There is hype for this ducky by the public but he played a team that gives up the most fantasy points to QB's, the cardinals are a really bad team. Oh, he started vs the bengals chargers and browns terrible d's. This will be a blow out if we show up, which they have for every game other than Philly this year. It's a terrible line just like most of lines early in the year and the 6.5 over/under wins. Go out and make yourself some money.

The only thing that would make me think that the league is wrong there is if the tape shows explicit zooming in on hand signals, and flickers to the clock for time/down/distance etc. like the spygate stuff.

When you have amazing video quality and equipment there is absolutely no need to zoom in on original footage, in fact you would want to see the whole sideline to see what subs are coming on and off and what all players are doing, you can zoom in on the play back.

The thing my gut is telling me is they have a guy recording headset conversations.

I know that has to be what Ernie Adams is for, it is bull#### there is no way they are not piecing together this ***** prior to the game, It's why his assistants are not nearly as successful when they leave.

I would not be surprised if Belichek, Adams, Kraft, Brady, & Maybe McDaniels after reneging on the Colts Head coach job are the only ones that fully understand what Ernie Adams does.

I completely disagree that the Bills will be an underdog to the Mason Rudolph led Steelers. That's why I am "lol"ing, not sure why you didn't catch that.

How did this age? Love the snark of "not sure why you didnt catch that" too...

You do realize they opened as favorites right? The line shift is hilarious with this D against Ducky Hodges. But hey we might let you back on the bandwagon this week after we stomp the Steelers.

Ok.  The only time I paid attention to McDermott talking with SL official was after this play:  Ravens player signals fair catch and vacates the area of the ball.  Bills player catches the ball and it is marked at the 8.  Ravens are penalized because their return man had made a block after the fair catch signal.  The ball gets spotted at the 6.  Huh?  8 divided by 2 = 6?  Anyone got a better explanation for what happened?  It seemed coach was upset with that too but not vein poppingly so.

    I was livid at this!

Seriously how do you not get fired at the highest level of your profession when you do something like this?

I don't know.  Lamar is a very accurate passer hitting guys in tight windows on the money regularly. Not sure how being able to run the football helps with the accuracy.

How do you think it does?

    I don't see the correlation.

It's pretty simple how it helps with accuracy, it opens up players down field when they have to cover an elite RB at the QB position. I'm not sure how throwing dump offs to rb's and tes is being very accurate in tight windows. I watched the whole san fran game, he is really good but can it last?

I think Lamar is a better passer but if you don't think so that's fine.

Over the past 50 years in the NFL QBs have come into the league deciding to run the football more and they do with success.  Randall Cunningham, Roger Staubach, Michael Vick, and Donovan McNabb to name a few.  After they get knocked around a few years they decide that pocket passing is not such a bad thing after all. Michael Vick is the exception.

The good ones are able to make the transition. Randall Cunningham got his team to the NFC Championship as a pocket passer for example.

I think Lamar can do the same thing. I think he's a good enough passer to pull it off.  Same goes for Watson.  Time will tell.

Watson is not like Lamar though & you only named a few because there is only a few that were successful in fact most of the ones names are not like Lamar.

Vick is really the only one similar, I'm not saying he can't do it but I am saying it doesn't happen often & Lamar as just a passer relies a lot on how good of a runner he is.

Watson, McNabb, Wilson, Allen are similar qb's.

It was hard to watch/hear so many Iggles fans cheering on their team in New Era.

Anyone know, do PoeBirds fans travel like that?

About the same drive time, 6.5-ish hrs

Seem to be a fair number of tickets remaining.

Although it is crazy we haven't sold out & prices are cheap, Ravens are the 2nd worst traveling fan base in the league per this report.

    https://scholarblogs.emory.edu/esma/2019/06/24/nfl-fandom-report-2019/

I think that is a Major factor, and this will be a game that is nearly full of Bills fans, unlike the eagles who per this report are the best travelling fans.

Lamar is a better passer and a better runner than Josh.  Why couldn't Lamar run our offense?

Lamar throws at a higher completion percentage and QB rate than Josh and has thrown 9 more TDs and 3 less picks than Josh.

Lamar's not just a great running QB, he is also an excellent passer.  He passes on average 28 times per game at a high level.

Personally I would trade Josh for any of the other 3 we passed on, Mahommes, Watson, or Lamar.

Sorry, I disagree on that Lamar is a better passer, better running back yes, elite in fact.

People are scared to say it because of "racial things," but when QB's have relied that much on running the ball they have not lasted.

I think the Russel Wilson, DeShawn Watson, Josh Allen approach is a much better, sustainable route 400-700 yds a year.

You can disagree but it doesn't make me wrong.

Baltimore fired their OC from last year and promoted Greg Roman for the current season.  Roman installed a completely different offense.  He might pass on a few tips about the defense, having faced them in practice, but the offense would be completely foreign to him

Bring in Eric Wood this week, to talk to Frazier.

On the topic of anyone and everyone who can write a horrible article these days

So now we have to defend our choice for passing on Lamar?

"A glaring error of not picking Lamar hangs above our heads"

Sorry I don't even think twice about having Lamar instead of Josh. I think both QB's are where they are supposed to be.

Unless we had Roman as OC Lamar would not look like he does with Baltimore.

Just being realistic.  Our defense hasn't proven at all that it can stop powerful runners consistently, especially the ones between the tackles.

There's a reason the team cut Pecko then signed the DT from Miami then signed Liuget: we're still searching for the solution to the big, powerful RB that runs between the tackles.  And to top all that off, Edmunds has been a liability as a run defender.

I would like this to be the week that we resolve that problem, but Ingram is probably the most powerful between-the-tackle runner we've seen yet, so this week is really sink or swim on defense.

I hate all those games this year we gave up 200 yds rushing to a player!

The better question is, would Terry entertain a trade of his head coach?  I raised this possibility last offseason - if Tepper or Jerry Jones offered a first or two firsts for McD, would Terry make that trade?  I don’t think Tepper wants a defensive coach so it’s probably moot but it’s not an unprecedented event, it happened with Gruden.  It’s not entirely out of the realm of possibility.
