Some certainly do appreciate it, some sing, some cover their hearts, but that doesn't mean it belongs at domestic sporting events. Every game I hear 'take your hat off !@#$' being yelled at other fans, I see people far more caught up in their cell phones, beer etc.. I don't think faking respect for the anthem beats sitting down for it. And there sure have been some great moments where Canadian/American fans have sung the anthems when the speaker systems have failed in arenas, but you're introducing a situation with two anthems and two different countries* not the same as an NFL game.
*hockey games between Toronto and Buffalo involved in the same league, representing two cities, not countries, but I get your point.I don't know what you see, but I see most people standing up. Quite a few appreciate it. Not to mention the Oh Canada anthem is sung at some events such as the Sabres games.

I still don't get why National anthems are played before domestic sporting events in Canada and the USA. The anthems make sense when countries are competing, Olympics, World Cups, CONCACAF soccer tournaments etc... but they make no sense to me when an American football team is playing an American football team. When I was young the anthem was played before movies and before the school day started. That has since stopped. Why do sporting events hold onto to this?
As for the Buffalo Bills 10 - 15K of the fans are from Canada, of the remaining 58K that are likely Americans a great number can't be bothered to remove their hats, stop talking, texting, taking photos, going on beer runs etc... What's the difference between any of this and a guy sitting down? I don't see widespread respect of the anthem from fans black, white or otherwise at games. Many just endure the anthem and wait for it to be over, or perhaps to hope for a fly over. I'd like to see the anthem playing stopped at domestic sporting events.

National anthems before sporting events are a waste of time. Choose a team anthem and be done with it.

Pot rehab is silly. But if he's doing it, he better get at least a game shaved off his suspension.

Looks good to me. I always thought the old sign just looked outdated and old. Kind of sad looking. This at least looks modern and fit's the stadium renovation colors.

Seems to be more of a 'why your fan's suck' than 'why your team sucks'. Was hoping for better, we suck enough to be funnier.

I will refer to it with anything other than having Ralph Wilson in the name.
The proper analogy with this would be Rogers Centre will always be the SkyDome and the Ralph/New Era will always be Rich Stadium.
Except I'm talking about me, and it was never Rich Stadium for me :-)

I expect the Bills to be in comfortable control of this game from opening kickoff until late in the 4th quarter. Then some unimaginable chaos happens and we lose.

We already have Bush here for those 4 games, and he will be fresh when he hits the field. The way he plays I don't think he will have a long shelf life in the NFL anyway because of injuries. Between Bush and him I like the chances of them both contributing enough to cover the position for the whole season. I doubt he would make it a full 16 games without an injury anyway, so it works for me this way. And if Bush is decent in the return game, he is a bonus we would not have had if Karlos had not been suspended and forced the Bills hand.
We had to bring in Bush for those 4 games. We didn't 'already' have him for those 4 games.

The trial I sat through was similar. Slam dunk 'not guilty' but one guy kept voting guilty because he thought it would look bad if we returned to court 60 seconds later with a 'not guilty' verdict.

Got called once and selected. The defendant was standing at the front of the court and we were called up and asked to look the defendant in the eye. I did and I had to sit on the jury. Later learned the key to getting out of serving is don't follow the instructions. People who looked at his shoes were not selected. Something to do with lawyers wanting to pick people they can lead. Canadian court FWIW

I'll be there falling in love with the whole spectacle once again. Silly early to Hammers because what's the point of sitting home. My wife will ask me 100 questions in the morning, I won't be listening enough to answer any of them, she'll say, 'just go to the game'. Off I'll go.
Meet the usual crowd at Hammers. Set up near Kenny on the hill. Watch people watching the ketchup ceremony. Think I'll be into the game before kickoff. Won't make it. Hello to all the regular STH. Scream and go crazy. Drive home. Best day of the year. -

I've switched it up from my usual beer beer beer. This summer it has been Cocktail, beer, red wine. I find I'm enjoying the drinks more with change in taste from drink to drink.
Cocktails have been either Gin and Tonic or Bourbon and Ginger Beer... mmm

Saw them many years ago in Toronto. I've always enjoyed their music when it comes on the radio but I've never liked it enough to buy it.
