  1. Hammers lot is fantastic but you'll have a hard time getting out quickly unless you leave before the game ends. There's no parking pass for the lot so you can give it a whirl and see what you think, but you're not getting out fast. You'd probably need to be in the lot by 7:30 - 8:00am for the opener.

  2. Two vicarious stories: my old man and his friend were at Batavia downs and ran into Jim haslett and Fred smerlas. Old man's friend gave haslett the winning horse on a trifecta bet and haslett, after picking this 250 lb friend up like he was a feather and dancing around, bought beers the rest of the night.

Gabe Northern dropped by the Hammer lot a couple of years ago after a game. Spent a good deal of time picking people up like they were feathers, must be a football thing.

  3. I never really get where these disputes will end. I've got Irish friends who are offended by Notre Dame's motto and logo - do they automatically go to the front of the line in a dispute if the Redskins trademark is ruled offensive? There's so many sports logos/trademarks that are offensive to someone - if the Redskins fall who falls with them? Does every team end up being named after a nasty animal?

  4. I for one do not think that Spygate nor Deflategate helped the Patriots that much if at all as far as winning. I know others do. But this is really the best part of the whole deal. That it is up for argument.

And you're right about the Pats fans. It's hysterical.

These are just the places they were caught cheating. I wonder what they've gotten away with? Something tells me that 30 years from now a fat balding Brady will be telling us all about the different tactics that were missed.

  5. though it seems obvious why they would not allow you to bring them. just like you cant bring other banned items under the promise of not using them.

It's obvious why they do it, but I hate it. For 12 years I have never knowingly broken the rules at the Ralph. This year I'll try to break the rule every game because I would like to have a cigarette on the way out after I have left the stadium. One of the many things I enjoyed about the game in Detroit was being able to have a smoke inside the stadium area.
