  1. If something is not done the game is as good as destroyed. ANy measure of cheating in any sport shoudl come with the harshest of all punishments IMO. Without the integrity of the game you got nothing... and only fools would continue to support

There's been quite a few scandal in the last 20 years and the league is as popular as ever ! Once September comes around, the general public doesn't care about the scandals and watches the games.

  2. What if I told you it had nothing to do with Deflategate, and everything to do with an owner publicly criticizing the league?

I know it won't be popular here, but I think Kraft has a LOT of friends amongst owners. He was widely praised for being instrumental in settling the labor dispute. They are making tons of $ thanks to this. They love their $ more than anything else.

  3. I'd love to see the NFL stand firm and keep the 4 games.

However, I suspect their real intention was to suspend for only 2 after a reduced penalty on appeal, hence the initial 4 game suspension.

We'll see how it plays out.

100% agreed. 2 games was the goal all the way. I just hope that none of the other sanctions are reduced, especially the 2 picks.

  4.

That puts you on the pats side.

They cannot be great when they have cheated many times for many years.

I like the hate part tho.

On a more serious note, I truly think they are a great team, and would have had the same amount of success( or close too ) without the cheating. That makes it more of an head scratcher for me..They didn't have to do it. Why even try ?

  5. The Pats were spying on every team and they got punished for it

including the Rams in the Super Bowl

    http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2013/01/30/marshall-faulk-patriots-cheated-the-rams-out-of-a-super-bowl/

Marshall Faulk is now a good source ? C'mon. He's pissed that they lost to them. This doesn't prove anything. Spygate was more about the location of cameras. You want to come down on them, that's fine and I'm with you, but the " taping practice " was never proven.

  6. If the 90's Bills cheated twice and won 4 Super Bowls would you be ok with it. Meaning they did the exact same thing as the Pats, Spy gate and deflate gate. If the Bills had spied on the Giants

in the week leading up to the Super Bowl 25 and the Bills new the plays of the Giants and won Super Bowl 25 just like the Pats did to the Rams. Then if Kelly had used a deflated ball for years and the Bills we're the team that fumbled the ball the least and we're so far ahead of everyone else in the league in that stat. Would you be ok with thatkind of cheating that it allowed the Bills to win 4 straight Super Bowls. My answer is I would rather keep it just the way it went down. The Bills played with heart and made a region proud.

The 90 Bills were football warriors and they never cheated and have there reputations in tack.

That's worth more then any Superbow Title

    in my opinion

what do you have to say about the topic

    Bills Fan.

    Please chime in

At the risk of being labeled a NE defender ( see other thread ) they never were found guilty of filming the Rams practice. That rumor has been around for a while and unless something came up that I'm not aware of, it is still unproven.

  7. Doubt it. At the end of the day, Brady won him another super bowl with a great performance against the hands-down best defense in the league. A pick in the mid-high 20s is chump change compared to that.

Agreed. Any team would take that punishment if it gives them a SB. Brady will be back and those bastard will go 12-4 . That # 1 pick will probably be a # 27-30 anyways, so no biggie there either. Kraft can afford 1 M easily. Overall, I think NE is pretty happy about this.

  8. In the coming days Tom Brady can cement his legacy in one of two ways:

    1. He can continue to deny, while the NFL commish rolls hard on the two locker guys. Brady and the Patriot organization can let the locker guys take the fall for the Mighty Tom Brady.

    2. Or, he can be a stand up guy, take the heat, the blame, and rightful punishment.

If he chooses to let two idiots take the fall, I hope all of America loses all respect for him and his legacy. It will surely be tarnished and he can go to hell.

If he stands up and protects the two morons that helped him cheat, he will save a lot of face and we can all forgot about this incident and move on once he comes back.

Sadly, I believe he will listed to owner Kraft and his agent and let the two guys take the fall. Otherwise, he would have come clean already. In which case, here's hoping Dareus breaks Brady's leg in week 2.

Jim Kelly would never have sacrificed two nobody's for something he did..

I think no natter what happens with this, the hard core Brady fans will keep on claiming him to be the GOAT and the hard core Brady haters will continue hating him. The average Joe borderline football fan will forget about this quickly and it wont be a big deal to them.

  9.

Nope. According to the NFL's Rules on Protecting the Integrity of the Game, a player is subject to discipline if they do not fully cooperate in an investigation.

    http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2015/05/07/suspension-of-tom-brady-seems-unavoidable/

In terms of the law, yes, he has that right. As far as the NFL is concerned, he is subject to discipline (see above).

I was specifically responding to whether or not, he had to give his personal phone to investigators.

  10.

He and his lawyers had full autonomy to go through his phone and supply only the correspondence that applies to this investigation. No invasion of privacy required.

It's also worth noting that the CBA requires him to turn it over if he's asked.

I might be wrong, but I believe this applies only to team phones..like the ones from the 2 ball boys/ Equipment guys . Those phones were the property of NE. It does not apply to personal phones.

  11. man, if Cassel plays well against the Colts and stinks against the Pats*, this board is going to be fun.

I don't like that Cassel is friends w/ Brady. Brady is a grade A A-hole, I question anyone that would associate with that d-bag after they leave the Pats#.

I call bull on this. Most would be psyched to hang with Brady in his private jet with his wife super model friends. I know I would ! If you would turn down an invite, you are a better fan than me.

  12. Starts tonight on NFLN...

Which current Bills do you predict make the list?

It will be based on their 2014 performance. Last year (for 2013) we had Kiko, Mario, Kyle Williams, Dareus

Also Clay and McCoy were on the list with their former teams

Percy Harvin was on the list 2 years ago

    So far-

    100. Randall Cobb

    99. Calais Campbell

    98. Adam Viniateri

    97. Joe Flacco

    96. Jurrell Casey

    95. Emmanuel Sanders

    94. Cj Mosely

    93. Jason Witten

    92. Aaron Donald

    91. Julian Edelman

Am I the only one surprised to see Flacco at # 97 ? Its quite the fall from grace isn't it ?

  13. Kraft is such a douchebag. Say what you will about Goodell, but Kraft was beating the drum hard to have the Pats completely exonerated and the report doesn't do that.

Did you see his response to the report ? He's still claiming that it does not prove anything etc...Unbelievable.

Two games and a tarnished legacy.

I agree. But what gets me is that the team and their fans don't care. They have those 4 rings and laughing it up no matter what other fans think. They couldn't care less about us saying that it's tainted.
