  1. Greatest game was The Comeback Game with a dear friend who is no longer with us and yes we stayed for the whole game.  Followed closely by 51-3 over Raiders - lost my voice in the first half and was worth it. Recent games were The Opener against the Colts and also when we played the Buccaneers and Tre White sealed the game by causing the fumble as Bucs were driving...

Worst game - a few come to mind - The strike/scrubs game against Giants (we won but boring), then there was the long ride home with my cousin who is a Steelers fan when we lost to them and a chance for playoffs, last season's home finale in the pouring rain was tough but we were already heading to the playoffs so didn't bother me as much.

My son (now a huge 23 year old Bills Fan and a dedicated NYS Teacher - bought us the tix to the last game of the season - last year as Christmas gift for me.  It is cool being a Bills fan, raising your kids and letting them root for whoever they want - and they pick The Red White and Blue of the Buffalo Bills!

  2. Welcome to the west side sir!

The Retreat in N. Greece has done a great job with Bills games, they promote it on FB too.  TC Hooligan's has a lot of TVs and wood fired pizza (I suggest the Ferrari Pizza - very spicy).  Bathtub Billy's was THE go to place but haven't been in a while - sure it is still a lot of fun.  Go Bills!

By the way - check out Turning Point Park (off Boxart St) it isn't that far from your area and they built a boardwalk that goes over the water - pretty cool.

  3. I'd like to put a plug in for Draft Sharks - Great website!  I have used them before and won FFL several times, once without a waiver pick up until week 10!

The thing i love about FF is it would have me care about games even when the Bills were bad,  But his year with pandemic - i didn't join PAID ones and joined 2 free leagues and Yes - One league I have Singletary and the other have Moss. Both have Allen (he was still hanging out there) and One has Bills DEE-fense and the other has Mr. Diggs.  I may call that team "Ya Digg?"

  4. Maybe this is a topic someone would start for a different thread (not me) but what will be the Bills first play from scrimmage?

Yes it depends on what Defense Josh sees but:

    A.) Run by Singletary/Moss

    B.) Pass to TE

    C,) Pass to WR

D.) QB Run (as Daboll has called before)

My thought is "C" - a quick Pass Completion to Diggs.  We want to show off our new QB/WR Connection...

Cheers OP.  As a UK resident I take great interest in Wade and his development, so happy for any snippets.

One thing I do take from the article (and I'm maybe way off on this) ... is that Moss has potentially gained a better understanding of the playbook than Singletary had by this time last year... or why would Singletary not have been able to help bring along Wade's development to the same degree in the rookie room last year?  Or maybe Moss is just a better communicator or closer to Wade than Motor was.

Or maybe the season should just start now so we can stop over analysing everything!!

UK is an awesome place - need to get back there again! Wade definitely made the most of his opportunities last year, if he can chip block (or catch) on passing plays - even better chance of making the roster.

Not to get off subject - were you a Bills fan before Wade?  - Where do you watch the games and are there other Bills fans around you?

I think his college tape displayed a level of natural inaccuracy (that is inaccuracy not explainable by an obvious technical issue) that I would not have been comfortable drafting. It has show itself in the NFL too at times, but when he really gets in rhythm and the ball is in his hands he has shown he can be a consistent and accurate thrower. It is why I am absolutely against any suggestion that the way we develop Josh is by babying him, only asking him to throw 25 times a game and run it relentlessly. I don't think you will ever develop this guy that way. You have to have him in rhythm and throwing. His decision making did worry me too, that worries me less now. I think he is a bit of a reckless gunslinger at times but some of his best plays come when he does that. The one area I completely missed in my evaluation of him was how dangerous he is with his legs. I totally missed on that. The other faults that I saw are still there and while I worry about them less now, they would still looking back at the college tape have put me off drafting him. That said, I am pretty optimistic with where he is at. If he can take another step this year he may well be the guy.

Thank you for the reply and astute observations.  Glad you are optimistic and interesting how you could see a great way to get him in a rhythm to be even better.  I am not blowing smoke - I respect your  opinion and wanted to see your take - sorry I have been offline all day - TGIF to one and all and Go Bills!

If we are talking unpopular takes that are still unpopular..... Stephon Gilmore was a really good Bill. He didn't give up, or avoid contact or any of the other crazy accusations. Nor does he get fewer penalties on him because he plays in New England. Other than his rookie year (which is understandable) his highest penalty count came in 2018 as a Patriot.

I am pretty sure Gilmore was the one who looked so unhappy when he was drafted - i will never know what is going through their head - but when your new fans are watching  you on TV - C'Mon man - show a little emotion!  You are right though that he was solid here, didn't like him going to the Dark Side...

Quick question on your earlier comment about not liking the Josh Allen selection.  I was not happy with the pick but have come around a lot.  You have a much stronger opinion of skill set evaluation - so curious of your opinion of him now?  Not trying to set you up sir - hoping  like me that now you like the pick better in retrospect?

  8. I live in Rochester, NY but was running a job down in Winter Park, FL and was looking to hire a mason for the job and made calls to a half dozen contractors.

Up pulls a pick up truck with a Bills logo as the front license plate - what an awesome surprise!  He had moved there from WNY.  Fast forward - of course -  I hired him for the job!
