That has more to do with the Patriots also being a pretty damn good team.

And for all the hype today about the fish, the Pats quietly went into Pittsburgh and won behind a similar formula with great defense and Mac Jones doing his thing.

Based on what exactly? Every team Miami faces is all of a sudden off the chain? The Pats go in to Pittsburgh and face an offense every bit as inept as theirs, and without TJ Watt? You're smelling more and more like fish every week

The bright side for the Dolphins is they can trade up for a QB next year using their two 1st round picks. It's not like a 45 year old QB in the opposite conference is going to come out of nowhere and ruin that for them.

They don't have 2 now since the tampering thing with Brady

EDIT: NM, but I'm curious to see if they start their rookie

Mac Jones throws punts and Tua hangs on to the football way too long, and that was playing with the lead. What's he going to do trying to comeback down three scores against our D?

Probably set a record for most intentional grounding calls in one series

    Yep I agree.

I think "best case scenario " for them, is he turns into Jimmy G and they have a similar offence from the 49ers last year. (Replicating McDaniels offence)

What I'm finding incredibly funny is people are saying Armstead was such a good signing. If he's playing LT and Tua is left handed, who's protecting Tua's blind side?

    I think that's a fair assessment.

In saying that, He may get bailed out sometimes by mcdaniels QB friendly system and the YAC from hill /waddle/Edmunds

Yeah that's what they're banking on but once teams get enough tape on what they do, being that one dimensional will kill that offense in a hurry no matter what Hill or Waddle do

I honestly don't think he played as bad as a lot of people are saying.

I would say he played "ok to descent".

No "wow" throws though, that's for sure.

If Tua did anything, he showed how bad the Pats really are. I don't see that kind of performance as a challenge to the Ravens on the road. Teams already know he's gonna take the short stuff all the time and hope for the best on YAC. Anything with long developing routes will get him killed

While TN was not super impressive, which stud team will rise out of the AFC South?

Indy is snakebitten, Jax is a season or two (and QB?) away, and Houston lacks a lot talent wise

TN almost makes it in by default

Yeah that division is a complete trainwreck. Colts and Titans are practically the same team. Watch Houston make the playoffs before the other 3

Titans aren’t making the playoffs this year.  They’re an 8-9 team.

If that, Houston all of a sudden don't look too shabby. May not have got the win, but held their own against Indy

The offseason improvements by the Bills have already made themselves abundantly self-evident.

So I ask again... where did the Titans improve themselves this offseason?

I know they lost Harold Landry, AJ Brown, Rodger Saffold, David Quessenberry and DaQuan Jones... WHO DID THEY ADD?

Is there any actual real hope for improvement in Tennessee or is this just a lesser and older version of last year's Titans?

    Mini-Marvs 74  Titans 3

If I'm not mistaken, Jones played for Carolina last year. But losing Brown will hurt Tannehill a lot more than people realize

Titans fans don't seem too impressed with Allen's performance Monday and keep talking about how Tannehill is better than Stafford and how they match up better than the Rams did.

I think they are in for a rude awakening.

Yeah, those fans are liable to go from Titan up to breasts up

I was kidding. I know that it's unreasonable to label 100% of ANY group of people a certain thing. But I AM fairly, um...not-fond of most of the Titans fans I've ever interacted with.

Imagine my position being from TN. Everyone expected me to become a Titans fan once TN got the frachise. I scoffed at every single person and laughed in their face

I don't want to make any blanket statements or anything, but....

Every single Titans fan, without exception, is a garbage person.

Garbage may be a little harsh, but a fanbase with extremely limited knowledge of pro football may be a bit more fitting. Their takes are insanely good comic relief

In terms of playoff seeding, this game -- being a conference matchup -- is actually of much greater importance than the Rams game.

Having one extra week of rest come playoff time and forcing every other AFC team to come to Buffalo will be HUGE to the Bills' chances of advancing to the Super Bowl.

To that end, even though it's week 2, it is a pivotal matchup for Buffalo. We saw just last season how conference losses can cost the Bills homefield advantage and thus, potentially, a Super Bowl trip.

    Big game.

10 days rest. Confidence. A desire for revenge after last year's prime time loss to the Titans.

    Let's go, Buffalo!!!

Titans fans are whining about the Bills getting a mini bye yet they seem to forget they got a ton of rest before playing the Bills a couple of years back.

Titans forum is falling over themselves to prove Allen is Cam Newton and the Bills defense is soft.  Interesting hill to die on.

This seems to be the narrative and it drives me nuts. The only comparison to Newton is Allen's build, everything else, Allen is on another level. The big Ben comparison is even more comical. The only similarity is they're both hard to bring down, but again, Allen is on another level. Allen reminds me a lot more of John Elway than either one of those 2

We exposed Josh a lot. We turned the ball over too much. A good team will turn that against us fast. Great win, but it’s not sustainable. We don’t win that game if it’s vs the Titans.

Wow, you must have missed the sackfest our D put on tonight. You actually think the Titans will fare any better than the Rams? From my understanding, the Rams only averaged less than 3 yards per carry. The Titans lost Landry for the year, and while Simmons is good, he's no Aaron Donald. I agree with cutting down on the designed runs, but dude, it was the first game of the season where problems were to be identified. And calling the Titans a good team considering they have no WR threat and still have Tannehill is being a bit generous
