Hey, it's possible, and I hope it works. But who is Rosen or Mayfield going to be throwing to, exactly?

    So the Rams were loaded?

HMMMMMM, they signed Woods as UFA in 2017, draft Knapp, then traded for Sammy.

How were they loaded in 2016 when they pock their QB, oh they had a RB, but do we?

They weren't loaded, they had a plan and started to execute the plan.  Get the QB!!!!

Moving up is sexy, it's fun, it's what's for dinner these days. But moving up will set the team's growth back three, maybe five years. Possibly longer. This team has so many holes, that to throw away all these picks on a QB who might be good is insanity.

If we can somehow move up and still have 1 2nd and 1 3rd...I'd be willing to listen. But only for Rosen or Mayfield. Trading up for any of the other QBs is insanity. Especially since Jackson has a very good chance of being there at 12. Hell, he has a good chance of being there at 22.

I'd rather pick an elite player at 12 - Roquan Smith, Derwin James, Vita Vea....etc. Use the rest of the picks on holes like WR, OL, DL, LB....

Throwing away this draft along with a first next next year? No thanks.

This is a bunch of garbage.  Phily moved up to #2, gave up a ton and they more than made the playoffs.

We missed the playoffs for 17 years and most of those years we filled holes.

Here's an idea, we give up a ton move to #2, pick Rosen and they AJ plays well and they trade him for  some picks.  Oh then your three year plan is out the window.

Go get your guy, and give up a ton if needed, but stop doing what has been done in the past before.

IFFFFFF the Browns have Allen at 1 it isn't because they are the Browns, because they are stupid or because they fail to see his flaws and risks.  It is because they see the flaws and risks of:

Sam Darnold who makes Dave Krieg look like a protector of the ball

Baker Mayfield whose Flutieesque size and Manzielesque attitude are risks and

Josh Rosen who may make Rob Johnson look like Cal Ripken

They are all risk/reward.  But.....the top three teams need to take a QB for various reasons. My guess is that one of the four pans out....maybe even excels and the other three flop.  My guess is Mayfield but it is a guess.

Honestly think about all you read from many sources about these guys.  How many times do you see sentences like:

Qb x does skill y at an elite NFL Qb such as HOFer QB z?  Not often.  There are more sentences like:. If a then b QB x might end up solid.  In other years, you read specific things about specific guys.  This year I read specific positives about Allen's arm strength and Jackson's electricity and that's it.  The QB rush seems based on quantity.

no stereotyping going on on this post.

which NFL team do you work for?  hmmmmm exactly

  4. as soon as you have the top pick traded after the pick it became invalid.

Only time that happened is when a guy refused to report and the top pick Manning, didn't want to play, but got pick anyhow and then they guy the Chargers wanted was picked at #4.

Your mock would NEVER happen and especially for the price outlined. Plus exactly why is Arizona passing on Allen at 15?  They have a broken knee guy at QB and Mike Glennon.  They'd be picking the QB.

The majority of posters seem to want to employ a strategy of trading most of our picks for the right to draft "a franchise QB".

The Jets just made a move that almost ensures additional years of losing football with a young QB playing short handed with a weak roster and all the expectations in the world.  No offensive weapons to use, poor offensive line, holes all over the front 7 on defense.

The Bills are now in a position to do the opposite, draft to fill the roster with young cost-controlled players to add to the talent base they have.

Six picks in the first 96. Chance to get QB, LB, CB, DT, OL and WR.  Why would you choose the pathway the Jets are taking which pretty much ensures competition with the Dolphins for last place in the AFC East.

Love to read your thoughts on this.

I know, trading a ton of picks for a QB did the Rams and Eagle so much damage they may never recover.

OH wait, the Rams made the playoff last year and the Eagles won the Super Bowl.  Oh, wait, sorry guess it didn't hurt them.

Hey there was a thread about Rudolph going before Rosen, could end up being

    Cleveland-Allen

    Giants Darnold

    Jests-Mayfield

    Denver-Rudolph

    Arizona(trade up)-Jackson

    Miami-Rosen

Buffalo on the outside looking in again with nothing.

Rudolph going 5th overall would be criminal! Actually Rudolph in the first round is such bad draft value.  The guy is a mid day 2 pick by the numbers.  But he's a QB.

There is a strong chance Denver could draft Mason Rudolph in round 2, I'd fall off my couch laughing if they take him at 5!

1.) Cleveland Browns - QB Josh Allen

2.) New York Giants -  QB Sam Darnold

3.) New York Jets - QB Josh Rosen

4.) Cleveland Browns - RB Saquon Barkley

5.) Denver Broncos - QB Baker Mayfield

This is a likely scenario that terrifies me. I don't want to know what this board's going to look like if it goes down this way.

I'm thankful Kiper put it out there, though. Pretty much guarantees it'll go differently.

This seems pretty likely in my opinion.

If that occurs it's either Jackson at 12 or Ruldoph, hopefully after 22, in a trade down to get another pick or two.

I hate picking Rudolph in round 1.  I'd be more comfortable taking him in round 2, trade 22 for 33 and something else.

  8. it's more smoke

no one knows for sure and whomever they pick, they will spin it and say that was their guy.

This endless speculation is such an incredible waste of time.

Strange I don't recall Jeremy talking about his source and Evander Kane trade in terms of we are going to get so little for the guy.  If he's always right, wouldn't he have known that offers for Kane we low?
