If the cost would truly be 5 draft picks, I'd rather stay at 21/22 and pick a DT and then Lamar Jackson at 22.. Way too many hole to give away this entire draft. for a QB and no help around them. If you are trading up, I'd prefer Rosen over the others. I want to stay away from Allen. I have read too many things about the mental side of his game not matching those physical tools.
Unless we somehow find a way to add help in UFA when we have 26M in dead cap money.

I'd offer the 21 and 22, plus a 2019 1st and a 3rd this year but not going 4 picks this year plus a 2nd from next year.

On draft day, using players as assets seem highly unlikely. Have we ever in recent times seen a trade where team x trade 4th pick to team y for 12th and a player?

I'm sure there are plenty of programs you can get yourself into to deal with your issues.
Colts aren't moving that pick unless it STARTS with 21, 22 and 2019 1st.

Let's say they did this, couldn't Cousins and his agent just immediately sign the franchise contract and thus making him untradable? Who's going to pick up a 30 million contract? Or it could go the other way and teams just wait, knowing they'll have to remove the tag sooner or later.

The only time I knew they should trade a QB was Wilson. The Bills traded up in the 3rd round and I though, yes they are picking a QB then, CJ Graham. Watch him at NCS and knew he had those intangible qualities you want.
I would have loved Carolina passing on Cam Newton because we would have picked him at #3.
I can't believe the QB Cleveland has passed on.

The Broncos are said to be in love with Baker Mayfield. They request him on their Senior Bowl team. Elway is more than likely taking a QB.
Buffalo’s best option is Mason Rudolph or the kid from Western Kentucky. Trade back into early w2nd round if possible and use the others picks to get more depth.

out of all six potential first round QB, Josh Allen scares me the most. I have read from several sources that he has all the skills but he doesn't have the mental attributes. The more players on the field the more reluctant he seems to be. I'd rather stay put and take Lamar Jackson than trade away the farm to get Allen. If they make a big move up, it better be for for Darnold, Mayfield or Rosen.
love how Mayock does a top 5 but convenient has 5th place ties when the position is extra deep.
