  1. I tried logging on but they would not accept my email address. I would have liked to put on there that he had nearly 2800 yards rushing 23 TD's and 71 catches in 2 seasons. He is also tough, young, & experienced

Drafting a RB in one of the first two rounds would be smart. Smarter would be trading the #2 for Henry. Or we could get LaMont Jordan or S.A. from Seattle. Landing a solid FA would give us our picks and solve our RB problem. You decide, I'm all ears. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Posts: 4042 | From: Illinois | Registered: Mar 2004 | IP: Logged Plummer16 Member Member # 4770 posted 01-21-2005 09:00 PM -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Either trade for Henry or sign Shaun. As for the RB situation, yes Shipp will be back but he is not a Jordan or Henry, and certainly not an Alexander. 8. http://www.rockymountainnews.com/drmn/bron...3480981,00.html PRINT THIS STORY | E-MAIL THIS STORY Syracuse pursuing Broncos assistant By Jeff Legwold, Rocky Mountain News January 19, 2005 Newly hired Syracuse University football coach Greg Robinson seems intent on giving the Orange's offense a Denver flavor. Only days after Broncos quarterbacks coach Pat McPherson turned away Robinson's offer to be Syracuse's offensive coordinator - McPherson said Saturday he did not want to move his family to New York and that he felt the Broncos had "a pretty good thing going" - Robinson now is pursuing Denver tight ends coach Brian Pariani for the job. Advertisement Robinson, who served as the Broncos' defensive coordinator for six seasons, this week has contacted Denver coach Mike Shanahan and Pariani, who now has the inside track at his first coordinator's job. Efforts to reach Pariani and Shanahan were unsuccessful Tuesday. Pariani has been on an NFL staff with Shanahan since 1992, when both were with the San Francisco 49ers. The 39-year-old then moved to the Broncos staff in 1995 when Shanahan was appointed Denver's coach. Pariani has coached the team's tight ends in all 10 of his seasons with Denver. A tight ends coach usually works closely with the team's offensive line, so he has a comfort level with pass-protection schemes and the offense's approach in the running game. Robinson has told Syracuse officials he would upgrade the team's offensive scheme, which has included the Orange's version of the run-oriented option offense, to a more pro-style attack. Robinson already has filled four spots on what will be a 10-person coaching staff. Included in the four coaches he has either hired or retained are former University of Texas quarterback Major Applewhite, who will coach the quarterbacks, and former Broncos linebacker Steve Russ, who will coach the linebackers. Russ played in Denver when Robinson was the Broncos' defensive coordinator.
  9. http://www.sptimes.com/2005/01/19/Bucs/Buc...eyeing_ou.shtml Bucs may be eyeing outcast RB Henry By RICK STROUD, ROGER MILLS Published January 19, 2005 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- TAMPA - Bills running back Travis Henry wants to be traded to a team that plays in the sunshine and says the Bucs may be warming to the idea. Henry has been told Tampa Bay is among five teams that have expressed an interest in trading for him. The others are the Dolphins, Panthers, Raiders and Cardinals. The Bills granted permission for Henry to seek a trade and are believed to be asking for a second-round pick. But Bucs general manager Bruce Allen would not comment on the former Tennessee star. "We can't discuss players who are under contract, but we do understand that there are players out there who have an interest in playing for us," Allen said Tuesday. Henry, 26, rushed for 1,436 yards in 2002 and 1,356 in 2003 but lost his starting job at midseason in '04 to former University of Miami running back Willis McGahee. The Bucs, who own the fifth overall pick in the draft, will be in a position to select one of the nation's elite running backs. It's a position of need for Tampa Bay, with 32-year-old Charlie Garner attempting to return from knee surgery and Michael Pittman leading the NFL with six lost fumbles. But Henry has just one year left on a contract that will pay him $1.25-million next season. TOMLIN STILL UNSIGNED: The Bucs coaching staff returned to work, including defensive backs coach Mike Tomlin, who is no longer under contract. Tomlin would like to explore other opportunities, particularly as a defensive coordinator, but the Bucs are pushing for him to sign a contract before the staff leaves for Mobile, Ala., Sunday to coach the South squad in the Senior Bowl. "We're still talking," Tomlin said. "I plan to keep coming to work every day until they tell me not to." Offensive line coach Bill Muir also returned and confirmed he will be part of the Bucs staff next season. "Listen, here's all I'm going to say, I'm a Tampa Bay Buccaneer," Muir said. "I chose to be a Tampa Bay Buccaneer. When I am no longer a Tampa Bay Buccaneer it's because the Bucs tell me to leave. "As we walk out this parking lot today, they haven't told me to leave. I'm looking forward to 2005, I'm looking forward to training camp and trying to get this team back on track." Neither the Bucs nor Muir will comment on his contract status. When Cowboys coach Bill Parcells fired his offensive line coach last week, it fueled a report in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram that Muir might be headed to Dallas. That ended Monday when tight ends coach Tony Sparano was hired to replace George Warhop. "People are calling me up and saying, "I hear you're going to Dallas,' " Muir said. "I even had a friend of mine, who had one of their friends bring a shirt and say, "Hey, can you get this signed when you get to Dallas.' I've got people saying to me, "Good luck in Dallas.' To be honest with you, the last time Bill Parcells and I had a conversation was in Indianapolis at the (scouting) combine last year. It's unfair to him, it's unfair to me because it looks like there's tampering going on."
  10. http://news.enquirer.com/apps/pbcs.dll/art...190354/1066/spt Wednesday, January 19, 2005 Lewis mum on Frazier firing Coach also not ready to name new defensive coordinator By Mark Curnutte Enquirer staff writer Marvin Lewis offered no additional information on why he is making a change at defensive coordinator. The Bengals coach fired former coordinator Leslie Frazier on Jan. 5 and hinted in a group interview Tuesday with reporters who cover the team that he spent too much time with the defense this past season. Lewis would not discuss the possible promotion of assistant coach Chuck Bresnahan to coordinator or whether he has interviewed coaches currently on staff with another team. "Today actually was, by league rule, the first day you officially were able to contact a member of another coaching staff on another team," Lewis said. The job description was clear, though. "There's going to be continuity for the players," he said. "The players aren't going to have to change. Whoever walks in the door is going to learn from the ground up how we do it, terminology and so forth." RUDI AND T.J.: Tailback Rudi Johnson and wide receiver T.J. Houshmandzadeh can become unrestricted free agents the first week of March. "In both cases, we have had good conversations with representation for both guys," Lewis said of efforts to re-sign them. "Within the next two, three weeks, we hope to have discussion from their point of view back and see where things are. As we get closer to free agency, both sides have the opportunity to explore their options further." SICK BAY: Surgeries for right tackle Willie Anderson (knee) and running back Chris Perry (sports hernia) went according to plan, Lewis said. Both players are laid up right now but should begin more active rehabilitation Feb. 1. Lewis also said wide receiver Peter Warrick (knee, shin) was going to have to do a better job with his injury rehabilitation this offseason than he did last year. "We learned a valuable lesson last year to stay on top of things better," Lewis said of club medical contact with Warrick. "He's going to have to continue to meet us in the middle on that. I think he understands the urgency of that now." HONORS: Members of the Professional Football Writers of America voted Bengals wide receiver Chad Johnson All-AFC in balloting released Tuesday by Pro Football Weekly. No other Bengals player was named to all-conference, all-pro or all-rookie teams. Madieu Williams was third in rookie balloting at safety. Former Bengals coach Dick LeBeau, defensive coordinator for the Pittsburgh Steelers, was voted assistant coach of the year. SCHEDULE: The Bengals will hold their rookie minicamp the weekend immediately after the draft, April 30-May 1. The mandatory minicamp will be held on the third weekend in June, Lewis said. Lewis said the team will reduce its time at training camp by about half a week and instead return to Cincinnati to train and allow players to adjust. Instead of waiting until before the third preseason game to break camp at Georgetown (Ky.) College, the team probably will leave before the second preseason game.

  14. http://www.buffalobills.com/team/coaches.jsp It seams as if most teams in the NFL have more coaches than the Bills. Should the Bills add another coach or 2 to the staff or should they stay with what they have? If they add another coach what type of coach or assistant should they bring in?
  15. The QB sneak is so successful when a team needs a yard opr less I don't understand why the Bills did not use it more when they were in shoprt yardage situations this past season. Look how many times the pats have Brady use the QB sneak. The QB sneak has a very high rate of success, the Bills coaches should use it more

He was the recipient of the 2004 Lou Groza award, given to the nation's best kicker. He has a cannon for a leg and consistently makes kicks from 50 yards and beyond. He is now the Buckeyes all-time leading scorer and holds 19 other records including most field goals made from 50 yards. His teammates honored him this year by making him the team’s most valuable player for his 2004 performance. He is the only kicker in Ohio State history to receive this honor. He is also among the best in the country as a kickoff specialist, with just under 62% of his kickoffs being touchbacks as a senior. Mike Nugent is one of the best prospects to come out of college at the kicker position in recent memory. He could be a 3rd round pick on draft day. by Greg Benjamin OTC Mock Draft Status: Beyond Round 1. OTC Top 100 Player Rank: #71
  17. Bledsoe deoes not do a good enough job at stepping up in the pocket or shuffling his feet over to avoid a rush. He also turns the ball over too much. Bledsoe does not appear to see the field as well as he should. Athough Shane Matthews doesn't have as strong of an arm I think that Shane Matthews would do as good or better at finding an open receiver and making a play than Bledsoe
  18. I would think the Bills could get a 2nd day pick for Bledsoe. Maybe a 5th rounder.
  19. Colts were cheated again aginst the Pats by the referies helmet to helmet pass interference on an overthrown ball fumble when the ball never left the receivers hands pats OL holding edgerine james getting slammed to the turf
  20. Seems as if many Bills fans want Nugent on this team. I wonder if Tom Donahoe is taking notice
  21. I saw Stefan LeFores in the East West game. He looked very impressive. I think He would make a good late round pick or UFA
  22. trading for drew was a good move at the time giving him a good signing bonus while he was suppose to be taking a pay cut before the season was NOT a good move. it's time to move on. give me matthews, losman or someone else
  23. Drew Bledsoe had the #2 ranked defense in yardage. The #1 ranked defense in turnovers. What many consider the #1 special teams unit in the nfl. 1 receiver who was an alternate to the probowl. Another reciver who broke a rookie record for TD catches. An offensive line who is coached by one of the best OL coaches in the nfl. A running back who many are already considering a to 5 back in the league. How good does Bledsoe have to be to get 9 wins? Personally I think Shane Matthews could have done just as good or better & cost the team far less against the cap
  24. I think the biggest weakness to the Bills special teams was the kicker. I think that Mike Nugent would be an impact player right away and would make thae special teams more dominant than they already are. His kickoffs alone would certainly affect field posion. He also was 8 of 9 for his career over 50 yards. He is also from a cold weather school. If the Bills trade Henry to the Dolphins I say trade him for their 3rd rounder(Chicago's pick) in 2005 and try to get a 4th rounder from them in 2006 that could be moved up to a 3rd rounder in 2006 depending on Henry's production. They should then use the 3rd round pick they get from the Dolphins on Nugent I think the Bills should use their 2nd rounder on an OL or a CB depending on what they get in free agency. They should get a WR in free agency. With their own 3rd round pick they should take an OL, CB, or a OLB. They should draft a running back on the 2nd day of the draft to back up Magahee. If the Bills can get a 2nd round pick for Henry then they should use it or their own 2nd rounder to get Nugent
