Poor guy, another tough break for him. Soo dedicated, soo talented, yet not appreciated.

After all of his hard work, dedication, diligent prep during the week for the game, and great play calling, he was fired by the Bills.

Now this same work ethic and high level skills mean nothing, again, for dorsey.

Just like in Buffalo, a scapegoat once again, like many on this board recognized after he was fired.  It was McClappy that was, and is, the problem.

If Brady gets a head coaching job of course the Bills should consider hiring dorsey for another round, to work his magic here again.

Disagree big time. Last year our offense was basically Allen going out there and making magic happen. There was no rhythm, run game was weak besides Josh’s scrambles, and Josh and his receivers were constantly on different pages.

his scheme did not work well with our personnel.

Get some guys some reps who don't start vanilla game plan stay healthy get ready for the playoffs. Sounds like Mayo knows he is on a bit of a warm seat

I’m really hoping we do minimal game-planning. Just run our standard sets on offense and defense and see how our players match up

Really your gonna bring up Tre and Poyer. Tre after 2 injuries and Poyer after father time took his speed. People have been saying Poyer has been regressing for years.
I’m not sure about Edmunds regressing in Chicago, can’t really comment on that. Levi was always the weakest link and maybe Phillips is just better when he gets that high amount of rotation the Bills Dlineman get in Buffalo.  Doesn’t mean everything is wasted.  You are basically saying we have no options but McDs system until Joshs career is over. That’s total bull####.

    You’re not starting over.

First off, calm down on the rhetoric. I’m not getting into an argument with you. I’m simply stating what I believe to be objective points. That’s a fair point on Tre, but know one thought his injury would make him pretty useless at this point. Or maybe it’s both the injury and changing systems. Also, Poyer was slowing down, but the drop off in changing systems with getting older only exacerbated his ineffectiveness. Keep in mind, he was still a solid player for us last year.

And I’m not saying McD is our only option. I’m saying what I think Terry is probably thinking. And your opinion doesn’t matter and neither does mine. Only Terry’s.

one last thing to consider, how many times has a new coach taken their team to the Super Bowl within their first two years on the job. I can only find 5. Not great odds.

What are you talking about. So you think if we move on from McD all players drafted are wasted? That’s what I get from this post. We’ve seen team that are total ***** change coaches and have success. If a coaching change is made, you think taking over a 14-3 team would be easier then taking over a losing team. There is not many cases of solid coaches that have got fired because they can’t get over the hump in the playoffs, the only one I can think of is Dungy/Gruden in Tampa. They won the Super Bowl the next year.

Some people scared to make a change when Josh is at his prime, I get that. But if McDs scheme is problem that keeps dragging this team down in the playoffs, he’s either gotta change or gotta go.

If McD did get fired, the idea that we are starting over is completely foolish

I mean our defense is built around a pretty unique system and a lot of its players are system players. Have we had any defenders leave our team and go be successful elsewhere under McD? I’d argue no. I can think of Levi Wallace, Tremaine Edmunds, Tre White, Poyer, Jordan Phillips. I’m sure there are more.  All those guys were successful with us and regressed after leaving the Bills.

Plus you think of players like Hamlin, who are subpar athletes, but are solid players for us right now is because they’ve been developed within our system. They have experience in the defense and how it functions. I can guarantee players like him will struggle in another system. Even Benford would struggle if we went or a largely man defense in my opinion. Or at least he wouldn’t be nearly as good as he is in the current system. Same with Bernard. Keep in mind, the talent level on our defense is not very good. We really don’t have any elite players. Just players that are greater as a whole

So that's where we're permanently stuck. Terry will never fire McD. Josh is so great we're guaranteed 10+ wins every year and playoffs.  Nothing beyond that. That's basically our future.  Take it or leave. And as several fans have told me, we can do nothing about it.  I guess the passion to chase a championship isn't as strong in Buffalo as it is in other organizations.

It’s not that I don’t want to win a championship It’s just my objective opinion on the matter.

if there was a coach that I believe could come in right away and win a championship I’d do it in a heartbeat. If you fire McD you lose all player development, now need to bring in new players to fit the new scheme, and rebuild the culture. That’s a couple year overhaul which takes us past Josh’s prime.

So we are basically in no man’s land. Which is why I think we sit pat with the current regime outside some major catastrophe

  6. I’m glad the jets released Ty. Ty is low key one of my favorite players on the team. He is so dependable, has some play making ability, smart. He reminds me a lot of what the patriots always had in James white in their later SB years.

im sure the spouses club for the bills is also a lot more tight-knit than the jets which makes family life that much better

I wonder what the Vikings could get for McCarthy in a trade. Not sure how you move on from Darnold after the season he's had.

I mean you can look at Darnold’s career and believe he will regress back to the mean.

plus McCarthy will be on a rookie deal allowing them to go get more players.

although I haven’t watched any Vikings football so I am not too familiar with how darnold has actually looked. Is he a product of the system being supported by elite players (see Brock purdy) or has he been making magic on his own (josh Allen)

It says in The Buffalo News today that Allen is dealing with right elbow and right shoulder injuries after the Patriots game.  This feels like with the weather it's going to be a ground and pound and quick screen passes, type of game.

I do wonder if some of those injuries are hangover from the Detroit game. Josh didn’t seem to be throwing the ball very well last week. Just curious if they didn’t report it in the first place

  9. Really what it is gonna take for josh to win MVP are the voters, or a select few, making an argument for josh to win. Sticking to more in-depth statistics such as EPA. But also bringing up the point of Josh’s big wins, how early they locked up the AFC East, Lamar having a potential OPOY candidate on his team in King Henry. Most importantly, in my mind, is having a consistent standard from last year. Josh hasn’t lost us any games this year. Yeah he stats aren’t nearly as good as Lamar’s from this year, but the roles were pretty much exactly reversed.

if they were to give Lamar the MVP, I honestly think there would be some sort of major media bias against Josh / some sort of love affair with Lamar.

that being said, josh really does need to have a great game Sunday to put the race to bed, even if he sits week 18.

Wish I thought so but nope. I don't see them getting past the Ravens. Then Ravens will get handled easily by KC.

Only way I see that happening is if our defense played way better than how they’ve been playing.

or if josh is able to jump to leads in all those games and we outpace those teams. Denver not too much of a worry, but we’d need to do

    thaf against baltimore
