Money talks.  They don't give Knox a 4 years 52 million dollar deal (31.2 million guaranteed) if they were down on him.  They wanted a true slot guy to replace Beasley and Kinkaid was the best solution they could come up with.

Who said anything about being down on him? I’m saying ranking him 10th is excellent for Knox. Probably speaks more to the lack of good tight ends in the NFL. Knox is an average route runner with average hands. And you guys can spin the Kincaid pick how we you want. He’s factually another TE.

I do not think all Bills players are the best. You are just wrong on Dawson Knox.

    I’m actually nowhere near wrong.

And this ranking of him at 10 will be the highest he’ll ever see.

If Knox was a better player he would see more use. It's not rocket surgery lol

all other pass catchers who come to Buffalo and play w Allen end up having career years

tbh Knox might not be in consideration for top20 if he were in a different offense w another QB

And the Bills probably wouldn’t have traded up to grab another TE.

    It is

People say oh he's got top physical abilities...yeah no kidding, he's a TE. They are all freak athletes

The reality is Knox runs pretty sloppy routes and doesn't have great hands. He's in the mix but top10 is being charitable and speaks more to the dearth of talent at the position.

No. We have to think all Bills players are the best. And are always hated on.

What was the excuse in 2021?

It is not. This was a ranking by people who watch the film. He can block, he gets open really well, he is good after the catch and the last 2 years his hands have been pretty good. The reason the #s are not more eye popping is down to the OCs and Allen. Where the Bills use him more - redzone. His production the past 2 years is that of a top 5 TE in the NFL.

Yeah. And the ranking great for him. Because as a Bills fan. Who watches every game. And knows a lot about the game. And has eyes that work.  I really think 10 for Knox is quite generous.

    thats a decent list imo

unfortunately the difference between 10-20 is not that big

    True.

For a guy who gets around 31 yards per game, having people think Knox is the 10th best right end is something. If he was ranked 25th I wouldn’t be surprised either.

10th isnt bad, in my opinion.  He may be a couple of positions higher, as this list is subjective.

Waller can't stay healthy, so I don't put much stock in him being on the list at all.

There will be a few risers this year as well.  I talked about it in another thread, but keep your eye on Chigoziem Okonkwo in Tennessee.  He is crazy talented!

10th best is actually amazing. I would have put him between 15-20.

It's time to settle this...if he does not want to play here, trade him. This is a team sport, not a ME sport. No more games. (pun) On a lighter note, Monday night at 7 pm, Chad and the Argos are up against the other top team in the CFL...B.C. Lions. I want to see more of Chad since the change in attitude.

    Ladies and gentlemen…

Only a bunch of homers would assume a local radio station should choose their team over other teams just because it's the local team. Miami is a good team. We are a good team. The Jets might also now be a good team, we don't know. It's all speculation and opinions until they actually play so the point is nobody knows. This thread is an embarrassment

You turned on the lights and realized she was a man didn’t you.

I don't think he's better than their current top four running backs.

He hasn't cracked 1,002 yards rushing since 2019.

I'd rather play Stevenson, Strong, Harris, or Montgomery over Zeke at this point, but maybe that's just me.

I mean it was 2021 but you’re in the ballpark of correct things.

Who is your replacement?  Who will absolutely, positively, 100%, be that "better" choice you are clamoring for?

I keep on hearing "McDermott is the problem."

Who is the solution? Someone actually available to be hired.

Will be answered after the season if a Super Bowl appearance doesn’t happen.

Joe Burrow is the reason.  A QB change to a franchise QB changes everything.

And a team changing a coach after failing year after year can be a reason as well. Bills have the franchise QB in place.

The fact some think McDermott is some untouchable head coach is hilarious to me. Dude should be replaced if the Bills don’t get to the Super Bowl.

    No.

All of these comparisons… McD is like Marty… McD is like Doug… They are all flawed from the outset. This is an attempt to simplify a concept to such a degree that it loses all meaning.

    No? Lol.

So with this roster you’re sure we can’t bring in a coach that can bring it all together and be better than the team has shown?

This is a perfect thread and it’s closer to 100% yes than anything less than that.

McVay is an offensive minded coach who scored 3 points in a super bowl. That is vastly worse than 13 seconds even with Goff. Vastly worse.

Pretty sure Chiefs are rated as the best team in the league and we went from:

    Chiefs win 26-17

    Chiefs win 38-24

    Bills win 38-20

    Bills lose 42-36

    Bills win 24-20

It is beyond stupid to suggest that the team has not made the improvements needed to get over the hump.

2022 was an anomaly season. But sure blame the coach if it makes you feel better.

Ya. That’s why he’s Doug Collins.

Or keep defending an immensely flawed coach who’s just good enough to get a talented team to the playoffs.
