  1. They'd do well to do away with that crap, too. When you're sitting in the club seats under the overhanging upper deck, the sound has no place to go and it's an assault on the senses. I personally want to pull the jugular out of the neck of the person with his finger on the button for that phucking train horn.

    Totally agree.

What they SHOULD do is hand out metal spoons to bang on the bleachers. That sound is unique to Buffalo and it will be at 100 with metal on metal.

  2.

If I ever went I'd spend more time watching the crowd. I saw String Cheese Incident this year. It was the most "interesting" crowd I've ever seen. Halloween came real early this year. What a bunch of nutcases and pretentious nut cases at that.

Chick up front: How many times have you seen Cheese?

Me: (Cheese?) My first time.

Chick up front: You've never seen Cheese before??? :o

    Me: Nope

    <long pause>

Chick up front: You like jam bands right?

    Me: I wouldn't be here if I didn't

Oh and to show how out of touch they were one of the musicians came out in a Bronco's jersey. Dude........this is Raider territory. If that had been a metal show someone would have ripped off his leg and beat him to death with it. The stoners were oblivious. Oh wow man...pretty colors.

I also saw Cheese at Red Rocks in July.....that crowd was ODD for sure.

We left about an hour in to go drink wine. Not a huge fan of the band. Red Rocks is truly amazing. The scenery in that part of the country is unimaginably beautiful.

  3. Best:

Foo Fighters and Black Keys (both played DC's Verizon Center) - with many a close second. Grohl is from the area and usually ends US tour in DC.

    Worst:

Easy. Bob Dylan at Merriweather He traveled with Wilco and My Morning Jacket, who were great and I was looking forward to Dylan for first time. Just awful. We left.

Chiming in to defend My Morning Jacket who I've seen twice and is currently my favorite band. Youtube the Red Rocks shows from May of this year and the Lock'in Festival from a month ago. Okonokos is probably their best live show ever. I know you mention that Dylan was the reason for the Worst but I felt compelled.

  4. I like that o'leary doesn't wear gloves. He's that confident in his hands for some reason...

The amount of tack on the gloves is insane btw... no CLUE why he wouldn't wear them.

Noticed this also and made a point to voice it to the person I was watching with. SO rare. Brian Brennen-like.

  5. I saw Neil Young last summer here in Cincinnati. Amazing show. I was worried he would go rogue and do what he wanted but he played all the greats and his backing band (Willie Nelson's kid) sounded exactly like Crazy Horse.

Worst was Pearl Jam, at the same outdoor venue, in 2000. It was right after the deaths at their overseas show and they lacked energy and had the sound turned WAY down.

  6. I would devise FOUR defensive gameplans for this week, one for each quarter, to counter the Patriots' patented in-game adjustments. And for the first Q, I'd load up the box to stop the run and short passes and force their injured QBs to push the ball downfield.

I'm sure Rex has 6 decoy's already prepared.

    I don't mean that.

However, Coach Tuesday has the right idea, in all seriousness.

27-13 Minutemen, unfortunately. Although "What did you do for the Bills victory this week" worked last week when I predicted 40-7 Cardinals to my friends.
