This is actually a slight improvement over the Bills record the first 2 years of my marriage (2-14 back to back). My young bride asked “why do you do this to yourself?”

I remember those days. I had to listen to most of the games on the radio. They weren't on the tv. When we got a first down I cheered like you would for a touchdown. Hard times. But I hung in there until we became the play off team we are today.

Someone should look back to see how accurate this so called "Football experts" predictions have been i remember when the Bills took Cordy Glenn he said he was not starting caliber LT that he was better suited for the RT position .

Well There You Go !! Mel's wisdom at work ...

He said Thurman Thomas was a wasted pick.

You never watched him in college, but you reviewed film of his handful of Bengals games from 3 years ago?

Why do you find that hard to believe? , I will explain you are probably a man who studies football all year long and searches everywhere looking for players who would help the Bills. I am not. I am only interested in players on the Bills roster until they signed him I had no interest in him at all. I told you I don't watch college ball I don't think that what they did in college matters that much. I have seen to many college stars come to the NFL and suck. I am interested in the Bills when they play but I don't worry about them all year long. If I see they have picked up someone I check them out. From what I saw he is a pocket passer.

He must have made quite an impression on you 3 years ago.

You're Ralph Wilson to his Rob Johnson...

Never heard of him 3 years ago. I don't pay much attention to college football or the draft. I just looked at the film on him in the NFL. Don't you like pocket passers? I don't mind being called Ralph Wilson, but Rob Johnson sucked.

I have wondered how Kiper has kept his job for a looooong time. McShay, who also is not the greatest by any means, makes Kiper look stupid over and over. It kind of reminds me of the scouting department version of John Clayton\Sean Salisbury.

I remember when we drafted Thurman Thomas in the 2nd round and Kiper said Thurman was a waste of a pick. I have laughed about Kiper since then.

No, they didn’t anticipate the success they had because they traded Watkins, Darby, Dareus and Ragland to gain picks for this year’s Draft. An obvious sign they were setting themselves up to make a big transition in 2018. And no, listen to Beane’s comments, the Bills are not in “win now” mode.

Im ecstatic they won this year I really like McD as a coach, but it’s easy to see they achieved beyond their talent level (due to good coaching and team mentality). To me getting Luck is a sign they have adjusted their initial timeline - I’m just not convinced that’s accurate.

Also, to those saying he’s 28, you’re right but will be 29 when season starts. And presuming a guy to play well past 35 is a large leap to me including the interest of desire of a player to do that - not saying he would or wouldn’t, but based on age it’s a true risk you give up a lot for a guy you’ll have for 4 years, when you have the Draft capital to get your franchise QB for the next 12-15 years .....at probably about the same cost.

Those guys got traded because they did not have the team mindset. Trading them was one reason we did start winning.

cripe what a crybaby. Can you imagine Ray Nitzchke crying that  'that offensive lineman said mean things to me:('

Those were different days. The panty waists that play now wouldn't have made it through the first quarter then.

  8. You need a trade partner first. Watkins is a frustrating case because when healthy he is a top 10 WR, but is obviously injury prone. Unless you get a high 1st rounder, I wouldn't pull the trigger. He could have a great year this year and next year we'd be arguing about whether the season was a fluke and whether we should use the franchise tag or sign him long term.

This is what I think. He is scary because he is always hurt and I doubt if that will change but he has the skills to be a great player so you don't want to lose him.

  9. The times they are a changin'. (I'm a prayin'.)

Hey! Are you the guy who bounced on your head? Cool trick! (Don't do it again....)

Yes, Don Beebe bounced on his head and jumped right back up. Wide receivers were much tougher then. Makes you wonder why they are all so puny now.

  10.

Dareus is our best defensive player and will be making plays this year. He was in the wrong scheme last 2 years.

He was so drugged up and out of shape, he wasn't even in the right universe. Fat and useless doper.

Hopefully he will get himself straight this year.
