  1. Great points as always. The Chiefs are so good their first round pick next year may end up being a third rounder...

It is like the time the Sabres had the Islanders first pick. Unlike the Chiefs, the Islanders were horrible. Just before the season, idiot GM Garth Snow makes two brilliant trades and the Islanders make playoffs for the first time in a decade. The last time Buffalo fans cheered for losses for a high first round pick was a total disaster.

  2. ya i dont understand how someone can say they are a bills fan when they do nothing but complain and critize everyone and everything about the organization, and then root for the chiefs to do good when we have their 1st round pick

I talk to Bills fans off this board and no one expects much from that pick. Chiefs are 41 and 20 when ALEX SMITH starts. If he gets injured an even more talented QB plays. They are coached by a brilliant coach. They have smart ownership and a GM from the Green Bay tree. This is how to run an NFL team,

The Bills are run by the Pegullibles. They are up there for most incompetent ownership groups.

  3. No encouragement is actually required.

I, personally, will root as hard against the chiefs as I will for the Bills. And you all know why.

This is what happens when your team is run by total incompetents. Fans eventually look elsewhere for entertainment.

And don't act like this is unique. I know plenty of people that have lost interest in this team. I made it through 17 years of no playoffs and am still following them. I don't need to apologise for not doing my part. Time for ownership to start winning.

  4. That's the likely scenario to me at this point (as I think Maclin is coming). The second 1st though will allow them to get one of them. I don't think that they will be able to get in the top 3 where I think 2 QBs will go. If I had to guess the Bills will be .500ish and the Chiefs a game or so better. I'd say the picks will be like 12 and 18. A ton can change though between now and then.

I think Bills could trade up for a Carson Wentz level prospect. But will Sean trade 2 1sts and 2 2nds for that?I really doubt it. I think they will try to middle it and get a late 1st or 2nd round prospect on QB while drafting for needs.

  5. I was breaking Jeff's balls and looking at it and trying to take my fandom out of it I see 4-4. Jets, Jets, Panthers, then it's safe to think they steal one somewhere in the next 5 weeks. We shall see. I'm not sure what amount of money it would take to kiss the season goodbye but I don't want to know! I'm hoping the Bills start well because it's almost time to fork over Sunday ticket money.

I took a few years off from fantasy football but now that DFS is back in New York I'm going to enjoy my Sundays, regardless of what the Bills do.

  6. Fair enough, I'm not mad. Don't be surprised though if I call you out when I see you saying 2-6 through the first 8 though. :)

Fwiw, I think that they probably need to be at least 5-3 to have a path to the playoffs. The 2nd half of the schedule will have to look something like this: win vs. Saints, 2 division wins, Colts at home and 1 of Chargers or Chiefs. That is the path to 10-6 at this point (IMO). Obviously a lot can change. Some teams will emerge and others will fall back. Injuries will be key as well.

In true Bills fashion, I expect just enough wins to miss out on one of the top QB's. See 2004, 2011 as prime examples.

  7. The Bills will be favorites at home vs. Tampa (maybe like 2 points). Oakland is going to lose about 5 games. At the Bills is probably pretty high on the list of "may lose" games. I'm not banking on either as wins but certainly am not calling them losses either. 4-4 to 5-3 You just predicted 2-6 and when I asked you to put the money up you want the line at 3.5?!? So you really don't think that they will be 2-6 you just made that up to "strengthen" your argument? I'll take 3.5 but you don't get 2-1 anymore.

If you want to bet the Bills win 5 I'll take the under over the first 8.

  8. I don't think that losing more games than the year before is going in the right direction as a stat on its own. I think we can all agree that last year was a major opportunity to end the playoff drought. We had the schedule and the players (less a couple of injured picks and Sammy) to do it. Rex and his BS scheme and lack of NFL level head coaching ability blew it. We go into this season with a strong, by all accounts and historical stats, coaching staff and some holes at key positions (Safety, LB and back-up RB stand out to me).I know that it may be an excuse, but this schedule is daunting and we don't often see immediate success from teams with complete staff overhauls. I think we'll all know when we see this team play whether we are headed in the right direction or not. A focused, driven team playing within the right scheme shows up on the field in ways the schittshau of last season never did.

Should not better coaching and the addition of top players drafted for Sean's system be better than Rex in wins and losses?

Ive got 4-4 or 5-3. They're beating the Jets twice, win 1 of @ Carolina or home to Denver, lose at Atlanta, win 1 of @Bengals or home to Tampa, and home to Oakland is a toss-up. They probably need to be 5-3 through 8 to be a playoff team.

You think Tyrod will outduel Derek Carr and Jameis Winston? I miss the days when I could Billieve.

  9. I don't think that's the case, but if he wins 7 games this year, with the complete overhaul that the Bills have had and the schedule they face, it wouldn't be surprising and I'm not even sure that those wins/losses might be the stats that OBD examines when determining his future as a Bill. We want to see a winning program, and this is without question. However, a squad that is communally heading in the right direction and is playing the football designed by the staff would be progress relative to the last few seasons. I wouldn't be surprised to see TT return after a 6 or 7 win season.

Ohhh...so you are aware of McD's head coaching history? Or, is it the crystal ball you carry that has you of this belief?

Thank you for your honesty. May I ask how losing more games than the year before is "going in the right direction"?

I do agree that Tyrod will be brought back in 2018 even if he fails again.

  10. I do not believe this team is going to have success as long as TT is the QB...this is a huge thing you have never seemed to have grasped.

The real agenda here is you firmly representing an average to below average player every time someone posts something non flattering of said player.

And as soon as I post, another one of my stalkers shows up.

I asked people if they would bring back Tyrod if he won 7 games or less. Not a person said they would move on.
