OK.  When was he timed in the 40 and what was his time?

I think MHJ will have a nice NFL career, but we're not talking about Megatron, or Randy Moss or Julio Jones here, which is how he's being hyped.  I'd put Caleb Williams in the same over-hyped bucket too, but that's a whole 'nother discussion.

Read the thread above. He ran 22.2 mph that fastest in a game in CFB.

This is all great in theory, but until it’s done, it’s not done. Beane has until 4pm on March 13th to get his top 51 contracts under the 2024 cap. Even if he accomplishes that goal, he still needs to clear another 10-11 million to sign his draft picks and at least 20 mill more to complete his roster unless he chooses to just use draft picks and guys on futures/reserve deals as his depth next season.

Didn't you just say he has until 4pm on March 13th so it's not optional. Don't worry bud, every year he gets where he needs too.

Don’t read too much into the Douglas comments, the odds are very good that they are negotiating some kind of contract change right now and Douglas may be holding steady at 9m (and he earned it last year). Wouldn’t be a good move for contract negotiations if he came out and said they would do whatever to keep him.

They're not cutting a guy who played like he did, traded a 3rd and 5th for, and are thin already at the position. You can make the Cap Savings argument about a ton of guys. Overanalyzing the comments is all this is.

  4. The Purdy MVP case is laughable to me. Alot of QBs could put up a 115 QBR playing Shanahan's system.Context matters and to me that's part of the analysis. Lazy analysis to give it because of Stats or total credit for team success in a team game (your teammates and coaches matter.

  5. Josh Allen is the best football player in the world-period. All you have to do is watch with your eyes in an unbiased manner, and you'll see he does more with less than anyone else.

You know this was Beasley. Both him and Edelman are founding members of the white slot WR with a beard club. I just don’t get these guys. The one thing that I learned early in my professional life is to never burn bridges. Beasley lights up those bridges with a blowtorch.

Beasley is thought of as a dumb as a box of rocks guy by most rational folks.

Fangio's an old school coach. A football lifer. McDaniel is an odd duck with odd affectations.

Unpopular opinion: I think the Mike McDaniel thing is closer to souring completely and blowing up than it is to breaking through to championship level football.

I think the team will continue to thrive in the early season, continue to falter later in the season and in the playoffs (if they make it that far).

I think that, once they consistently start to not be able to break through, McDaniel's act is going to wear thin quickly and things are going to go south fast.

I also think Tua is just good enough to get your hopes up every year, and just bad enough to dash them when the stakes are highest.

I do not buy this version of the Dolphins, with McDaniel as coach and Tua as QB, as being long term contenders to the Bills for AFC East supremacy.

Couldn't agree more with all this. I don't think it's an unpopular take at all.

  8. For people wondering why there is so much love for a guy who has mediocre track record I have the answer. He's in the club. You hear this old coach and that old coach say he's a friend of mine. You hear it on the talk shows too. He's one of the boys. Doesn't mean he should get another opportunity to be a HC. At the end of the day its Washington, what do you expect?
