Awesome - they finally put something up about the phone call vs. online thing!  Thanks:

Due to enormous volume, there will be considerable wait time. Please be patient; everyone who is entitled will get their benefits.
THE BEST WAY TO FILE YOUR UI CLAIM IS ONLINE HERE
Please do not call the telephone claims center unless you are instructed to call to complete your application. If you are instructed to call to complete your claim, the only valid number is 1-888-209-8124.

  2. Has anybody tried to apply for NYS unemployment as a self employed person who has been shut down by this?  I'm hearing from my friend, who is in the same boat, that you have to fill it out online, but then you have to call in and he's tried for hours each day and not been able to get through.

Is that true?  Why wouldn't you be able to complete it online?!?

Funny, i approach the market now just like a Bills game...it  has a good day and I put on the post game show  and listen to why and just nice to see people be happy..bad days i peek at the score and too much red i just dont listen at all.

This is how I treat the Bills and now the market.

The weird thing to me is that I've heard that the ratings are higher when the Bills lose.  Who would want to listen to postgame more when they lose than when they win?!?

You’re right. It was December 26, 1993 and we clinched a playoff birth.  It was just two weeks before the Raiders game, which I watched in my cozy living room in Hermosa Beach, CA.  ?

“The first measured in at nine degrees, but the wind chill put the temperature well below zero. Neither offense was particularly adept at dealing with the weather, and in a low-scoring game like that, a big difference in special teams can play a huge difference. Steve Christie was solid as always in the cold, nailing three field goals while his Jets counterpart, Cary Blanchard, missed three that would have made the difference. The win clinched a playoff spot for the Bills for the sixth straight year.”

I must be conflating the discussion that happened with the Browns fans with that game. It was also really cold for that game, but was a different game for sure. Old age is setting in. ?

I thought it was setting in for me that I couldn't remember the Jets 96 game as really cold.

That '93 game was insane.  Well below zero wind chill is right!

That was one cold sumbeeyatch!!  Wasn’t it like 9 degrees at kickoff and 6 degrees when it ended??  The parking lots were like sheets of ice. My brother did one of those legs slide out from under and he hit the ground hard. It was the season after the Browns had moved to Baltimore and there was a group of Browns fans there with a sign outside the stadium. We commiserated with them for a while before going in.

I’ve been to games since the Rockpile in the late 60’s and that was the coldest one I’ve ever been, too.

Me and my “known him since grade school” buddy made it to the bitterly cold

    end.

I don't remember a thing about this '96 Jets game..............By far, the coldest was the Jets and then Raiders back to back 12/26/93 and then the playoff game.

RIP, my condolences to his family.  Heard he was also battling Alzheimer’s and Dementia since 2012. Sucks to hear about news like this?

It is incredibly sad to see someone go through any life-debilitating disease, but dementia is among the worst. Well, I guess they are all aweful.

Stay safe Bills Mafia. Boy, do we all hope our President is right on his prediction yesterday. If we can gather again at Two Bills Drive in September, there will be so much to celebrate, way beyond football.

My father died similarly.  He had Alzheimer's for 8 years and then was taken suddenly by a lung problem...........I was glad that happened and he didn't have to go to the bitter end with Alzheimer's.

    They sent an update:

Based upon the finalized guidance received last night from the SBA we are working to complete our electronic application today. We expect to be able to take loans over the weekend but will likely not fund until Monday. We will provide an update when the application is available.

As a reminder, we recommend gathering the following documents and information to expedite the application process:

    •     Documentation to support the average monthly payroll costs. Acceptable supporting documentation includes payroll processor records, payroll tax filings, Form 1099-MISC (for independent contractor applicants), or income and expenses from a sole proprietorship. If you do not have any such documentation, you must provide other supporting documentation, such as bank records, sufficient to demonstrate the average monthly payroll amount.
    •     Entity formation documents (e.g., articles/certificate of incorporation and bylaws; articles of organization and operating agreement; partnership agreement and filed partnership certificate; trustee certification; or trade name certificate (DBA)).

We are committed to you and delivering during this time of uncertainty.

Is this for PPP, the disaster one, or both?

This is the email my Key business email received today for the SBA loan/grants:

The Small Business Administration ("SBA") has released its updated guidance and application late this evening. We will incorporate the finalized application and rules into our platform and begin taking applications Friday, April 3. We will notify you when our system is available and ready to accept your application.

We recommend gathering the following documents and information:

    •     Payroll records from the past twelve months including compensation for any individuals in excess of $100,000 or individuals whose principal residence is outside the United States.
    •     Entity formation documents (e.g., articles/certificate of incorporation and bylaws; articles of organization and operating agreement; partnership agreement and filed partnership certificate; trustee certification; or trade name certificate (DBA))

We appreciate your patience and look forward to helping you during this challenging time.

Of course, I stopped having payroll (one employee) 14 months ago.  But, I was told by somebody that if "I'm paying myself" that should count.  Any validity to that?

Got an email from them today basically saying they can't afford to give refunds for cancelled events anymore. Instead you get 120% in credit towards a future purchase. Getting a cash refund is no longer an option. I had a ticket to a Sabres game in Montreal they owe me for. Luckily nothing else.

So, that's even if it's cancelled?  I know the Sabres and everybody are holding everybody's money because the season is "on pause" - not cancelled.  Same with Stones tour - postponed, so they're keeping the money.  Ticketmaster that is.

My point is, my employer is guaranteeing pay for 10,000 employees and is worth 20 % (about a billion) of what the Pegulas are worth.

Hard to determine the total number of employees the Pegulas employ, given that they have so many different businesses, but it isn't 10,000... and again, they are worth $5 billion.

    Who is your employer?

The spinoff show "Rhoda" was not number 1, was it?

Actually, I went a little overboard it seems.  It was that wedding episode that was the most watched show of the 70s until Roots, and the 2nd most watched ever - after Little Ricky being born.

But, the series was #6 and #7 in it's first two seasons.
