the way he played here…that sends the wrong message to the team. Don’t do it!Agree. I want Douglas back too. However we don't know what's going on behind the scenes. He may want more money than the Bills are willing to pay.

a low third rounder but with knowledge will be getting another 3rd rounder in UFA compensation and the 5th rounder from Green Bay. The way I see it is we traded down in the 3rd round from pick 91 to pick 166* (not sure what pick is due to compensation picks not awareded) and got Douglas. Assuming Douglas plays the 2 years of his contract (or more) it's more than a fair trade.
True if he plays this year for the Bills, it's a fair trade. Speculation based on Beane talking about Douglas in past tense, are the Bills getting ready to release Douglas? If he gets released, I don't think it was good trade for the Bills.

I get it but he was a gimp at the end of the season and now he will be 30 years old. We can save $10M off the cap if we release him by March 15.
Personally I would still rather extend him to get cap relief and know that our CB situation is in good shape this year. But if we cut him I will take it as a good sign that Beane is prioritizing youth. In a long season culminating in playoffs that is not a bad thing.
Letting Douglas go and promoting Elam to starter seems rather risky to me especially with White recovering from an Achilles. Perhaps plan A was to extend Douglas but his asking price is too high and plan B is letting him go.

If we let go of Douglas this staff is outright ridiculous. He was our best defender down the stretch last year. And it wasn’t even close.
Not to mention we wasted a 3rd rd pick for basically a rental

I found it curious to see Babich get interviews as a DC candidate but don't recall Butler receiving any himself. Butler may have been perceived by other teams as the favorite to get the Bills DC job and therefore didn't draw any interest. Can't blame Butler for leaving. He was passed over and that's hard to come to terms especially if you feel you paid your dues and believe you can do it.

I think it's Douglas and Benford as CB1 and CB2. Elam would need a really strong training camp to challenge. He's probably CB3 though. White will likely be on IR or PUP to start the season if he's still on the team. They'll need another CB though whether it's Dane Jackson or someone else.

Saints need to reset and get a rookie QB and rebuild through the draft. Too many free agent signings with high dollar contracts has put them in a bind.

Seems a bit strange, first of all the timing, but more importantly they already have a terrific punter in Townsend. So unless they are releasing him for salary issues this signing makes little sense
Townsend is a free agent

It's kind of mind blowing seeing people make the case for Gabe. He's simply not good enough, all his film and stats and play back this assessment. It's almost as if people have forgot about his limited route tree, his league leading drops, his disappearing acts, all while playing with the leagues best QB while he's putting up astronomical stats. That alone, being unable to get on the same page as Josh says everything. Why would people want to hold Josh back with a guy that just can't seem to get in sync with him? The more I think about it, I just can't seem to come up with any viable argument to pay Gabe to stay on this roster.
Davis also has a very low catch rate, about 55%, and has never had a 50 catch season. He simply isn't a WR2 and he has outpriced himself in Buffalo. It only takes one team to think he's a WR2 and he'll be gone. Good for him and good for Beane for not compounding the salary cap situation.

I don’t get this. Didn’t he sign a one year deal? How is there a cap hit this year?
Voidable years. Quite a few players have them. Check out Spotrac for the details.

He played hurt last year. Foot injury. Not worried about him as long as he healed up.

Unfortunately, GunnerBill I believe you're right regarding Allen. He's willing to do the big things and explosive plays to win the game but he's reluctant to do the little things to win games. I was hoping he would grow up a little and change his approach and mindset regarding playing QB but I don't believe it's happening. One thing for sure, he needs more WR help. Not enough playmakers on offense and too many high picks and money spent on defense. Don't know if it's Beane or McD but collectively they have dropped the ball in getting Allen enough offensive help. They did the hardest part, getting a franchise QB, and they keep ***** around in getting him help.

What laws that are sensible are not enforced? I agree w the insane SSRI use in this country. You seem to be stuck on lack of liberal law enforcement in general as a reason to not have gun control? Not sure I get your reasoning.
BTW conservative counties have just as much gun violence if not more. How about all the laws regarding border security? You think those existing laws are being enforced?

people across all neighborhoods, demographics and disagreeing camps coming together in a crowd.
$5 says it’s not a random fight but two guys with ugly history and not enough sense to skip acting on it in a crowd.
I was wondering if it might be gang related. No info. Just a guess.

Well Josh’s restructure clears down the overcap charges by something like 27 million.
Extending Rasul Douglas also clear up a nice bit of cap Space too.So there’s two things I know will happen as Deon Dawkins is just about do for a restructure as well.
The toughest move to me will be what the Bills do with Mitch Morse who has been Josh’s guy at center for 5 years.
Dawkins has one year left on current deal. So does Taron Johnson. I believe they'll both get extensions this off-season to reduce cap hit this year. Restructure possibilities are McGovern, Allen, and Milano. As of now Hines is scheduled for $5.4M. I think they'll redo that contract or cut him. Not sure what they'll do with Tre White.

Is this the 1st time a shooting like this has happened at a championship parade? Would be somewhat surprising
Not sure about shootings but I remember the Bulls and Pistons had problems at their championship parades. Destruction of property and fires.

The Bills refuse to give Allen enough playmakers on offense and they spend too much money on defense.

I think Diggs is around for next season and maybe two. I'm hoping Beane leaves Diggs' contract alone I.e. no restructure. I don't pretend to know what's going on but the best plan for the Bills is to add a good young WR or two on the roster. If they do that, it'll be easier to deal with Diggs and his contract.

The Chiefs spent 26 million +- less than we did, it’s time to use that cap space on offensive weapons, the writing is so clearly on the wall…,
LFG BILLS!!!
I'd rather them use first round picks on offense like they did last year with Kincaid.

Isn’t that the wildest thing? The offense is undeniably worse without Tyreek but they still come away with back to back SBs… 🤯Reloaded on defense with McDuffie and Karloftis.

Trading Tyreek Hill for a bunch of picks worked out well too. Two seasons and 2 Super Bowls.

The Chiefs are just a very well run organization and it goes beyond Mahomes. Kelce and Chris Jones are unicorns and the Chiefs just keep drafting really well. Meanwhile the Bills have Allen and a bunch of good but not great players. Bills need difference makers.

KC just killed our dline for most of the game. We had a chance at end and we didn't get it done.

What are the rules on when the Bills must allow this to happen?
I think Brady can interview after this weekend's game. Bills can't block it since it's a promotion.
Draft night I can see this coming

I like the idea and the plan but I think it's one year too soon. Too many roster spots to fill this season. A good draft this year makes your idea plausible next years draft imo
