The Thursday night games are on Prime. If you have a smart tv, get the Twitch app, and you can watch the games for free. Twitch and Prime are part of Amazon. I’ve done this the past 2 years.

Well, he had to have knee surgery in October last year and missed the rest of the season. So if he's skating suspensions, maybe nature is deciding to suspend him for the league.

The Eagles did to Mahomes what the Bucs did. They both put tremendous pass rush pressure on Mahomes by rushing only 4 guys. Hopefully the offseason moves by Beane will pay off.

Curious to see what Beane discloses about this signing. Moore visited day after draft concluded. It appears this was in the works at least this past weekend if not longer.
-
Curious to see where this guy lines up. Some projected him to guard because of arm length.

Doesn't get great leverage being as tall as he is aaaaand Joe Morino doesn't like him.
It wouldn’t be a Bills draft without Marino disliking at least one Bills pick. He didn’t like the Terrel Bernard pick nor the Dorian Williams pick. So we’re probably good.

I’m gonna just watch the draft. After each Bills selection is made, I’ll come here for all the aftermath. I’ve done this for awhile now. Works for me. Enjoy the draft. Go Bills!

The problem with not drafting an RB is that it increases the impact of a Cook threat to "hold in" until week 11.
I agree. The Bills can’t run the risk of Cook holding out in a season with so much on the line. How many times have we seen a player hold out and then come back only to look out of shape and subpar. Draft a RB is the right play and provides insurance. As someone stated above you can stash a guy on IR if you have too many.

I believe they are both done. Beane will likely draft a CB fairly high and hopefully get a veteran corner somehow to provide some insurance in case the rookie CB isn’t quite ready to start. I think Beane also drafts a WR but might not until day 3.

It’s funny, I clearly remember the opening day at the Ralph, but I don’t recall the last game at the Rockpile. I assume I was there, as we had 4 seats by then, but I just don’t remember bing there. I guess it was a long time ago and the first time with something is more memorable than the 100th, even if it’s the last. 🤷♂️
The last game at the Rockpile was against the Lions and ended up in a tie. I don’t remember the game at all but I do remember the crowd on the way out was quiet. A somber feeling overall.

I was at the last game at the Rockpile and the first game at Rich Stadium. Have seasons so planning on going to the last game this season and attending the first game at the new one. Go Bills!

Is that the immortal Pat Summerall on the PxP..the voice of God..or as Beano Cook says...if someone was tell me I had cancer..let it be Pat Summerall...
That’s Pat Summerall narrating. I forget the other guy but he and Summerall were both former players. IIRC the other guy played for the Eagles.

Maybe they sign a veteran CB who’s better than Dane Jackson but really looking at the draft now. Beane needs to get these first 3 picks right. A CB and 2 DLine guys, in no particular order, is what I’m hoping.

With Hoecht and Ogunjobi suspended for 6 games, the Bills are going to need a couple more defensive linemen for their spots when the season starts.
After hearing these suspensions, curious to see what they do. I felt all along they would draft a DE and DT1. Now I’m believing they’ll also sign a veteran DL on a 1 yr deal to help bridge this 6 game gap. Maybe Smoot.

Honestly a 5th, 7th and the cap space for a 6th is the most we were going to get for him.
But it tells me that Beane has a CB move coming
Pretty good salvage job by Beane imo. For a day, I love Jerruh.

I don't think so. Unless we trade Cook during the draft, and we are not carrying 4 RBs on the roster.
Maybe a UDFA to get some looks in preseason.
If Cook isn’t extended by the draft, I could see Bills drafting a RB on day 3. The draft is deep in RBs this year. Plus, Bills aren’t going to let a player potentially derail the season with a contract dispute/holdout.

So Shakir is worth $15 mill a season and Cook isn't LOL.
Shakir has 1443 yards and 6 TDs the last 2 season on 148 touches.
Cook has 2834 yards and 24 TDs the last 2 season on 520 touches, has made 2 Pro Bowls and was just voted to the NFL top 101 players by PFF.
People who want to trade Cook instead of extending his contract need to re-think their priorities.
I'm glad our management is finally invested in our drafted and developed skill players. It's long overdue.
I believe they’ll extend Cook. Some deals take longer to work out than others.

The Dline has been the issue for a number of years. Not enough QB pressures, sacks, not good enough against the run. Pretty much every free agent signee has been overpaid for their production and pretty much every DL draftee has been over drafted.

I’m fairly certain he’ll stay here. He’s the preferred 3rd down back for the best QB in the league, kind of like being the backup catcher who plays when a certain ace pitcher does.Or the backup goalie when his team plays against the Sabres.

Cap space will dictate what Beane can and cannot do. With only 9 mill in projected cap space and only 40 players under contract, Beane has his work cut for him.
I’m sure he’d love to get some of the young core locked up, but without cap space that’s hard to do. Also the players have to want to extend. The 2nd contract is where the guys make their money. They may not want to re-sign now in order to maximize their next deal.
True. It takes two to make a deal, only 40 guys on roster, Beane has his work cut out, and Bills have $9 M in cap space.
IIRC, the salary cap has gone up every year except for Covid year and the Bills have $9M before any reworking by Beane. They're usually starting the offseason over the cap. So I actually feel pretty good about cap space.
Bills currently have 8 draft picks (1, 2, 2, 4, 4, 6, 6, and 6). They will likely get a comp pick for Davis and Floyd. However many draft picks the Bills actually make, pretty good chance most make next year's 53 roster.
Whatever the cap space number is, I believe Bills will spend most of it on players currently on team. Tough decisions loom. No doubt. They can't keep everyone as we all know. Hopefully they can get comp picks for players who do leave.

You do realize that all these guys are under contract for next year, and don't forget Bernard as well.
McGovern is under contract for next season for 9.385 and would be the 9th highest paid Bill according to Spotrac. I can see him being extended for a year or two to actually bring down his cap hit next year.
Groot's deal has him at 13.387. Again like McGovern can be extended and reduce his cap hit next year.
The other 3 plus Bernard, I can see Beane not extending them until after the next season. Cook's 2025 cap hit is 1.856, Bernard is 1.633, Benford is 1.148 and Shakir is 1.186. With limited cap space, it doesn't make to much sense to extend them and increase their 2025 cap hits.
Beane has a tendency to extend players, especially ones they drafted, prior to their contracts expiring. They won't extend everyone on this list (Benford, Bernard, Cook and Shakir) but could see Benford and one other. The Bills CB situation is a little shaky after this season. I believe Douglas is gone and Elam hasn't looked all that great.

I think they just took him off the field because he simply cannot play in this league.
Maybe they were running him on early downs to protect William's injury and they just had to give up on it.
Ok. That makes sense. I was at the game. Spector looked brutal out there.

Were they rotating them early to see how Williams' injury would affect him?
Early on, Spector was playing 1st and 2nd downs, then they brought Williams on 3rd down. Did Spector get hurt at some point?

Right now, I’d go with Milano. Hopefully a new guy emerges this season. Maybe Max. I really enjoyed watching Mack Hollins last year. Willing to do anything to help the team win.
