  1. You know what really bothers me just now, after reading this... Spiller at WR. Spiller is very good at motioning to the slot position and running routes due to the mismatches it creates. Having another WR with three other good WR's makes me wonder what the plan will be with Spiller. We cannot line up without a TE on the field, even if he barely blocks anyone. We don't have the OL.

    But imagine if we did?

Empty backfield after CJ motions outside? I don't know if that scares the crap out of me or makes me think more. But, it all falls on EJ now and our OL has to step up.

The problem with this is that Doug Marrone was asked last year about lining up CJ at WR and he basically said something to the effect of, "why would we do that? he's a running back." I think that says a lot about the lack of creativity in our play calling. Also the fact that we didn't motion pre-snap ONCE last year...

I agree now that the weapons are in place that this season is on EJ, but I can't take the onus of blame off of Hackett if he fails to put our players in position to succeed.

  2. From wikipedia... very interesting...

    NFL Match-ups[edit]

Kaufman has had success against the NFL-bound defensive backs he faced in college.

Against Desmond Trufant (Falcons) he caught 10 passes for 140 yards.[17]

Against Josh Aubrey (Browns) he caught 6 passes for 70 yards and 1 touchdown.[18]

Against Jimmy Wilson (Dolphins) 5 catches for 119 yards and 1 touchdown [19]

Against Isiah Frey (Bears) 4 catches for 35 yards and 1 touchdown [20]

Against DeShawn Shead (Seahawks) 3 catches for 57 yards and 1 touchdown.[21]

Against Marcus Burley (Jaguars) and Anthony Walters (Bears) he caught 9 passes for 120 yards and 2 touchdowns (2010 National Championship game)[22]

Against Daxton Swanson (Colts) he caught 9 passes for 216 yards and 3 touchdowns. (This was the last game of his collegiate career, in which Kaufman surpassed Eddie Conti, as well as Jerry Rice, to set the all-time FCS single-season receiving yardage record with 1,850 yards.)[23] [24]

  3. Actually, the fact he stated he would seriously consider not cheering for the Bills if Trump became owner is why he must not be a real fan. The 59 post comment was for comedic value, but obviously that fact eluded you. /not sarcasm

Aww maybe you're right buddy, I'm not a "REAL FAN" like you. I'm just some schmuck who places his own ideological, political, and cultural beliefs and preferences above their undying love for a sports team that's caused nothing but grief in the last decade and a half.

  4. I got 29 TDs for Manuel...

    9 Ebron

    5 Johnson

    5 Williams

    4 Woods

    3 Goodwin

    2 CJ

    1 Chandler

While I think EJ should have a minimum of 20 TDs, I think his TD numbers would shoot up with the addition of Ebron who I think will be a great TE right away in the NFL.

I am a fan of Ebron but for some reason, 3TD during his junior year doesn't really translate to 9TD in the pros.

  5. The bills had to run and miami knew it. It's ok. The bills had to ensure getting a fg, and they got it.

This is true but there are more creative run options in that instance. Where is Summers?

Not blaming the field goal choice, by the way!! smart option. just the red zone offense this year, in general.

  6. Maybe 50-50 that he can be a decent serviceable QB that can, with the right tools, manage this team to the playoffs. 25% confidence that he will be a top-10 QB in the league. 3% confidence that he will be a top-10 all time QB like Manning or Brady who can carry a bad team no matter the talent around him.

This is not a slam against EJ!!! I like him a lot, and desperately want him to be the next Joe Montana, but will need to see marked improvement before my confidence goes higher!
