  1. I have been incredibly surprised by how well Tyrod has played to this point, and even more so considering these were his first three starts in the NFL. It seems that the four years sitting behind Joe Flacco as a backup did wonders to his development and understanding of the game. The strategy of drafting a QB and waiting a few years before starting him seems to have gone out the window with the increasingly impatience of owners/coaches/GMs. I would say the last true QB to be drafted and playing backup for his first few years was Aaron Rodgers, and that has seemed to turn out well. Makes me wonder if other people around the league are seeing the early success of Tyrod and rethinking how they develop drafted QBs.
  2. NFL: Best- Raiders, Bears, Colts, Bills (standing buffalo throwbacks) Worst- Titans, Bucs, Jags NHL: Best- Blackhawks, Maple Leafs, Oilers Worst- Ducks, Coyotes, Predators MLB: Best- Orioles, Royals, Mets Worst- Marlins, DBacks NBA: Best- Knicks, Blazers Worst- Pelicans In general, I'm a sucker for orange in any color scheme. My favorite jerseys of all time are the Knicks and Bears, very clean. Wish the Bills wore their throwbacks all year round, the red standing buffalo with those simple jerseys are very fresh.
  3. Loved this post, my dad tried to instill his love for the Bills in me at an early age, but it never really caught on. I lived in Rochester until I was 8 and then moved to Philadelphia and at the time didnt consider myself really a Bills fans. It took to be surround by all the idiot Eagles fans to go back to my roots, and become a much bigger Bills fans. My first real memory was the snow out game of Bills-Dolphins when Ricky Williams ran for 200+ yards and the Bills still came out with the win. From then on I was hooked. I remember the heartbreak of losing to the Steelers back ups in 2004 to miss the playoffs, and my Dad told me you'll get used to that kind of stuff as a Bills fans. As a 22 year old, I can't remember the Bills playing in the postseason. We try and make it back to the home opener and one other game every year. We usually park in the front lawn of someones house on Abbott and walk to Danny's for a tailgate with my Dad's cousin/friends. There is absolutely nothing that gives me the goosebumps quite like the tailgate and the Ralph on a fall Sunday. My first purchase after starting my full time job was Bills season tickets with my dad, I absolutely cannot wait September 13th!!!!!
  4. I almost cried tears of joy after that Manuel TD to Woods. It's been a long time since we've seen a throw like that. I don't know how Pettine keeps doing it with this group of guys on D, but man it is awesome. GO BILLS!!!
  5. This is my first post, been a lurker for a year or so now but finally gathered the courage to post. I am in college so I don't have too many playoff memories of the Bills. But here are mine: My first real memory of a Bills game was in 2001 a December game against the Dolphins. Ricky Williams ran crazy for like 200+ yards and it was a blizzard for most of the game. Bledsoe had a long TD pass to Peerless Price and the place went nuts. Also, first game we had TO was pretty good. We beat down the Bucs, who started Leftwich, and TO caught a bomb late in the forth from Trent. Thought maybe we had something going that year... GO BILLS!
