  1. I was going to post this as a separate post but decided not to but my question is.

Is it time for the Bills to get a big body receiver who can make contested catches?

I know that one key to Josh Allen development was getting away from big bodied receivers to receivers that can run precise routes. This was probably the right approach because of Josh Allen accuracy issues in his 1st couple of seasons in the league.

Now that Allen ball placement and accuracy is better now I think we can revisit the need of a WR that can make contested catches

Here is an example of what Im talking about from the 1st Dolphins game in the second clip for the pass into the endzone. Now imagine a receiver like Mike Williams or out of last draft class George Pickens that plays for the Steelers. Gabe would be a excellent player but for his size he drops too many contested catches. If he could fix that issue along with his weak ankles that would be ideal but if not I think we should invest either through the draft or free agency for a Mike Williams/ Mike Evans type of receiver.

One last case to support my case is the fact that we play are most important games in Dec/Jan/Feb:) I think it helps to have size at the receiver stop to help in the redzone/run game WR blocking and for footing purposes. I might do some research on this certain aspect to see if it really does help in that regard.

If Josh and the wideouts don't start playing like they did the first half of the season again I think its more likely they lose two of four and end up the 5th seed than winning out and ending up the 1st seed.

Dont throw variables into it. Are the Bills losing to BOTH the Bengals and Dolphins. No IF's from me. The Bills offense will play better and will NOT lose to BOTH the Bengals and Dolphins

People are going to flame you for this but I feel the exact same way.  Josh hasnt played at an elite level since the KC game on October 16th.   McKenzie and Davis have played well below average and continue to drop passes in huge situations.      Being the 1 team in the AFC in week 14 means absolutely nothing.  Would anyone be surprised if both Miami and Cinci beat the Bills the next few weeks?

I would. Bills will beat CInn for sure and 60/40 chance on beating the Dolphins.

I think they will have to if they want to make it. They already have 4 conference losses, if they lose to the Bills and the Dolphins then even if they end up with 10 wins (beating Detroit, the Jags and the Seahawks) it is unlikely to be enough if they are 6-6 in the AFC. They probably need 11 wins to get in.

Jets have the type of team that can beat the Dolphins ( Good #1 Man corner , a good run game and a DL that can stop the run). McDaniel has put Tua in a position to succeed because Its hard to play man if you dont have the horses and Tua is excellent against zone defense. I still need to see what TUA looks like when the weather gets cold and messy

    Tua is impressing

Yeah Dolphins offensive weapons are putting defenses in a bind. Tua always been good against zone coverages when the OL protects. With the speed on offense you really cant play man.

To beat the Dolphins on offense you have the have to be good on all three levels on the defense with a at least a #1 man corner.

Hill and McDaniel has really changed the Dolphins. The key is like any QB is to get to Tua. I still dont trust Tua in the cold

  6. Josh Allen issue right now is his lack of confidence. Josh Allen confidence comes from when he "has the answers to to test" per say and I feel that Dorsey has not given enough layup easy completions based upon how teams are rolling their coverages toward Diggs and the other receivers not being consistent at catching the ball and getting open so the Bills offense has turn into too much backyard ball. That’s cool for maybe when things break down once in a while but it’s happening too much for Allen to play a clean game for 60 minutes.

If the Bills had a vet slot that was great a reading coverages which I felt Crowder would have been for Josh if he didn’t get hurt some of Josh confidence issues would not be so bad. That coupled with the elbow and the coaching staff demanding that he run less unless it’s a key point in the game is what most the problem is right now.

As demonstrated by Bill Belichick and Leslie Frazier. Pats, in two successive games,  completely shut down Zach Wilson, so completely that he has been benched. When Wilson played against the Bills, he looked like a real NFL QB. For one of the very few times in his career.

Last 2 times Wilson played the Bills Wilson has a TOTAL of 141 net passing yards. I guess Wilson last game vs the Bills was better than last year where Wilson had 5 NET passing yards for the WHOLE GAME
