1-5 batting .200 just above the Mendoza line
Fun fact: Mario Mendoza's career batting average was .215, which is 15 points higher than Bob Uecker's career batting average of .200.

Loudest cheer of the night on a PAT by the visiting team's kicker.

I think you keep letting him kick and see if he can sort it out. With such a big lead you have that option, IMO
I tend to agree.
Thing is, if you release him, who you gonna be able to pick up at this stage of the season?

Seems like that would have been pretty hard to do when this is the first time there has ever been a MNF playoff game.
They played Sunday last year. Then played TB Sunday the week after. A normal week.

I'm kinda irritated how the winner of this game is getting absolutely hosed by the NFL, playing in SF on a short week after SF gets an extra rest day while being at home.
Total screw over by the NFL.
What's the point of making things "fair" with start times in week 18 if you are just going to screw a team over in the playoffs?
In fairness, the Rams played in the MNF playoff game last year and had to travel cross country to play in Tampa the following Sunday. Seemed to work out OK for them.
That said, I don't think there should be playoff games on Monday Night. But, I also don't see it changing anytime soon.

00.00.99. Clock will say zero but still .99 tenths of second before it all zeros out. Weird but that’s the explanation i heard on a podcast a while back from an ex ref
Yet, the game is over the instant the clock hits 0:00 in the 4th quarter.
Otherwise, the Bills may have had a shot at a spike to stop the clock in week 3.
Maybe that's why Dorsey was pissed. He expected the Bills to get that extra 99/100ths of a second.

I’m seeing Bills -4.5 on Bovada now. That is crazy. We just beat the Dolphins 7th round rookie QB by 3 points.
People betting that the Bills won't make the same mistakes next week that they did today, or at least not as many of them.

Oh damn I thought for sure they’d be covering KC
JAX/KC is on NBC, so I dunno if they'll have Michaels or Tirico do PBP there, but guessing that Collinsworth will be on color.

Why do they slightly alter game times for the playoffs? 1:05, not 1. 3 pm, not 4?
Dunno why they change the times, but I know the Bills game kicked before 1:05 today, so I don't think it matters much, in the grand scheme.

Per NBC.

I saw the same thing in a recent game, coach calls a TO to ice the kicker, ref runs out in front of the holder to make sure the "practice" kick can't get off. Have never seen that in prior years. Not sure it matters much really.
I've always equated it to where a pitcher in baseball follows through with a pitch, even if the umpire calls time before the pitch is thrown. As I understand it, it's a momentum thing and to stop may cause an injury, whereas simply following through with the pitch (or kick), even if it won't count, is the safer option.

Staley shouldn’t get on the plane.
I wouldn't let him in the locker room. He'd be fired before he got all the way up the tunnel.

***** is the ref grabbing the holder for? GTF off me ref!!!
They've been doing that lately. Last week, a ref smacked a snap out of the air when a team called timeout.
I guess it's so the kicker doesn't get a "practice kick," but I don't like it. Refs shouldn't be interjecting themselves like that, IMO.

Guys, we won a game in the playoffs once down 35-3 at the half.
Actually, it was 28-3 at the half. Houston defense got a pick 6 on the first drive of the 3rd quarter.

How much money did they pay Kirk again?

Wonder if Pederson regrets not taking the FG on the second drive now.

Well, at least Lawrence won't throw another pick here.

I mostly watched that to see if they would announce the playoff schedule. Im glad I did because what a great game. Surprised they didnt announce the schedule though. I guess tomorrow morning?
Could easily be announced during the postgame.
My guess is, they had two potential schedules that depended on the outcome of this game.

Barring any changes to the scheduling formula, these will be the opponents for the Bills next season:
Home
Denver Broncos
Las Vegas Raiders
Dallas Cowboys
New York Giants
Miami Dolphins
New England Patriots
New York Jets
Jacksonville Jaguars
Tampa Bay BuccaneersAway
@ Kansas City Chiefs
@ Los Angeles Chargers
@ Washington Commanders
@ Philadelphia Eagles
@ Miami Dolphins@ New England Patriots
@ New York Jets
@ Cincinnati Bengals- 6

Hopefully, this will explain all of the playoff scenarios for the Bills, depending on tomorrow's game outcomes.
Bills win* OR CIN Loss - Bills Clinch #2 Seed
1: vs MIA if MIA beats NYJ
2: vs PIT if MIA loses to NYJ AND PIT beats CLE
3: vs NE if MIA loses to NYJ AND PIT loses to CLE
Bills lose AND CIN beats BAL - Bills clinch #3 Seed
1: vs BAL
* - If the Bills beat NE and face KC in the AFC Championship, the game will be held at a neutral site.
If you're more of a visual person, here are the current flow charts for the top 3 seeds and the 7th seed.

If the goal is equidistant, Indianapolis is the answer. Almost right between KC and Buffalo.
let’s hope we really get to worry about the AFCG location.
Why is Indy out?
