  1. I congratulate you, sir.

Now here is a productive thread! I'm not being facetious!

The time for thinking about who the next "real" QB for the Bills will be is NOW.

It's not going to be EJ or Orton beyond this year.

    We know that.

So who else is available? This is a good question to ask.

Doesnt Orton have a second year guar 5 million player option.... don't think hes walking away from that. If he plays well hes the starter next season too then back to the hunt in '16.

  2. The Jets want Geno Smith to work through his issues, we want EJ Manuel to get better through osmosis. We'll see how the 2 schools of thought work.

We want EJ to get better by practing and holding the board and watching an actual QB play, like he was supposted to from day one. He was pushed into the starting role by injury and it is clear he's not ready to be the starter.

  3. From downstate originally and all my family are jets/giants fans - we moved upstate when i was 9 or 10 and started getting into sports (watching and playing) and for some reason I became a Bills fans, no idea why really it just happened, although it probably helped that they were getting pretty good at that point - right before the real run. Now I have infected my wife (who was a fan but not die-hard like she is now) and my poor, poor son who gets **** from everyone about being a Bills fan. I know it is silly for a grown man but I care about the Bills deeply and I am only a bit ashamed to admit that a football teams that gives two-***** about me has such an important place in my life.

Fake edit - I will say though when you find another lonely soul who is a Bills fan it is almost 99.9% chance of instant friendship and mutual understanding of the pain and agony - it's kinda nice to immediatly share a lifetimes worth of experiences with someone you just met just by them saying "Yea, I'm a Bills fan too."

  4. I'm with you John.

Although my hopes aren't through the roof, but with a solid ground game and an even stronger defense with the return of Gilmore, Brooks, and Byrd (if he doesn't get traded, or finally stops being a baby) then we could have a sickly defense. The whole league should watch out for this group on the defensive side.

On the EJ note, I firmly believe it will be the short end of the 5-8 weeks. This week is one of them, so that's really only 4 games. Not as bad as it sounds. Plus we have a bye week in there somewhere.

It shouldn't be all doom and gloom but so many here have losing engrained into their "Bills Blue" DNA.

I can't imagine why this would be...

  5. I Still cant for the life of me figure out why in the 2nd qtr after we ran the ball like 4 times in a row...and got decent yardage, on that 3rd and 2 we went shotgun, and tried to throw the damn ball...

Not only that but we did that same thing on 2 consecutive series. Mind-blowing.

  6. My reply from the station manager:

"I just got off the phone with my Fox rep and they will not change the game for us. I have to admit that we did not check the feed assignments early enough on this one so we have to take the blame. I will endeavor to see that this does not happen again but Fox is adimit that they will not swtich it on a Friday night for Sunday."

I just got pretty much the same reply - no Bills game for us this week... :censored:

As of right now the BIlls game is not bring shown in the Utica/Rome area in favor of the Washington/Green Bay game. It looks like we are the only ones in upstate NY not getting the game. Not quite sure why this is but I sent an e-mail to the station to request a change of the decision - if you live in this area (or just wanna help out fellow Bills fans) please send an e-mail to the station

That the e-mail address to the general manager of the station Steve Merren.

  8. I know it is irrational, but seriously I am so mad that Geno won before EJ. I do believe EJ will be by far the better pro, but Geno was simply lucky and now I have to listen to the national "experts" slurp him for his average performance and EJ gets a pat on the head for "good effort."

    Manuel QBR - 70.8 (Passer rating 105.5), Geno QBR - 48.5 (Passer rating 80.6). http://espn.go.com/b...rterback-report

He could've lost the game and the national media would still slobber all over the Jets before they would even acknowledge the BIlls exsistence. When Berman hangs it up the Bills will just *poof* into nothingness as far as the national media is concerned.
