Question: what was wrong with Dareus today?
Dareus is (seems to be) being asked to stuff up two gaps and take on two blockers like a NT in 3-4. Which is not what his talent is based on. Waste of 100$ mil if it stays that way moving forward, he's just not big enough.
-
Why would he want to stay in a defense that doesn't use his abilities to the fullest?
-
You know Thurman is just Rex's yes man right? So what you're really saying is that you want us to sign a petition to remove Rex.
-
Many problems but I think the defense going from all-world to below-average is a serious problem.
-
Lots of deserving players but it goes to Tyrod for his first NFL win (in a big, important game nonetheless).
-
I'll let you know after the game today.
-
Bills 31 - Rotten Tuna 13 - Time for the D and Rex to step up and show what we're made of.
-
Watching his press conference not only did he seem to be "taking it personal" but he seemed disgusted. Either a lot of players didn't do what they we're told or he personally got slammed by Belicheat. Whichever one it was I hope he(they) get it fixed real, real soon.

Some guys just don't have it. Better to bring in a veteran leader instead of trying to turn someone into one.
Better to keep the ones you have then to search for someone else. AW looks up to Freddy like a God, after the first one Freddy would've set him straight. But none of that matters when the defense decides not to show up.

Rex said in his presser there was a problem with the hold and not Carpenters fault.
-
I've said this before and I'll say it again...
Brady gets the ball out in about 1 second. TT (and most other quarterbacks) hold it much longer. TT held it for several seconds quite often, usually with bad results.
Is it play design? Awareness? Experience?
And why are their receivers ALWAYS open in the flats? Against everybody, all the time.
Ironically, Fitz is also good at getting the ball out quickly.
I wonder that myself - are they just that good but it can't be cause Belicheat has been doing this to the whole league for years.
-
TT hand off to Shady through the left side of the line - 6 yard gain.
17 first downs.

If that is a story of yours when only a little buzzed I can't wait for the falling over drunk stories!

Right. Just because Mayo said it's not illegal doesn't mean it isn't illegal. He a mental midget that's piping back what he's been taught. I think that's telling. If The League had integrity they would look into this further. It's just another example of them breaking the rules and the officials being numb/dumb or willfully looking the other way at an infraction that takes place at a critical time of the game.
I'm never been on Goodell's case before, but I can see where he should lose his job because he's been a huge factor in allowing this cesspool of a franchise to pollute the sport.
Sadly the owner of the cesspool is the one who helped Goodell get his job in the first place and is on the three-owner board who decides on how much he gets paid.

Bill in NYC post are good but you're are just as good. So please keep doing
them I'm sure other people like them. I see no reason to stop.
I hoping you will reconsider and keep doing them once the regular
season starts. You do a great job.
I agree - well I don't always agree with your points, but I do agree that you should continue these threads. I know for one I enjoy reading them. There's room for many opinions.

Poor mans Tyrod Taylor - God no to Vick now and forever

They weren't employees of the Bills, so the minimum wage won't apply. They were contractors until proven otherwise. There is no "legal amount" you independently contract for. Don't like the contract, don't sign the contract.
If that is the Bills argument they will lose. You can't be an independent contractor if your "employer" gives you specific times and places you need to work at.... say like "You Jills have to be at all of the football games, here's a schedule." - that alone would show they were employees and not contractors so if the Jills win the IRS/NYS Labor Dept. could eventually sue the Bills for all their back employment taxes owed since the inception of the Jills as a squad. There is no way to argue that they weren't required to be present at the football games, ect. so their gonna lose that fight unless the Jills lawyers are absolutely incompetent.
I for one want to see this settled and the Jills to come back to the games. The drum-line is cool and we can keep that too but football and cheerleaders go hand and hand, even at like Pop Warner games, and its a bit embarrassing not to have them as a NFL team.

Rumors were that he didn't like Buffalo so why would we want him back. I think with the Rex hire the culture is gonna change in that locker room quickly and players who don't wanna be here and work their asses off will be shown the door.

If this yera is our last shot we're screwed cause last time I checked EJ was our leading candidate for QB at the present time and sadly I don't think he is a super-bowl caliber QB. Unless we pull of a miraculous trade or hit the lotto in the draft its 2016 at the earliest.
-
I dont think they could afford him and Revis and a shut-down corner is a nice thing to have, regardless of how many holds he gets away with.
-
So this is how the media treats players who want to be in Buffalo and had them as their favorite team... Good Job Sully
-
He lets you make the changes in the front office you want and at the same time bring some sort of continuity to the team as well, ie. starting competly fresh again. Whaley would have to have a big say in OC (actually entire offinsive staff - assuming Hackett goes) with him and let him concentrate on head coaching/defensive aspects of the team.
-
If Schwartz can bring in a trestman, I'm completely okay with this. The atmosphere he created on the D was amazing and the players loved him. I think that's a good start.
I don't like how things ended in Detroit and that did make me nervous, but I'm not against it.
Overall, I don't think it would be worse. But I also don't know if he has the ability to identify a good qb
Its won't be his job as a head coach to identify good QB's to sign - that would be the GM/OC/ect. Of course he would have to sign off on it but I think he knows his own strengths and weaknesses by now and will leave that to the offensive side of the organization. I want to keep the defensive side of the staff together so I'm in favor of giving Schwartz the job unless Terry and KIm want to completely blow up everything and start from scratch, which Saint Doug just gave them the oppertunity to do if they wish.

I want a new QB ans OL parts that can give our coaching schemes a chance to work.

I root against the team he plays for but I don't root against Fitz in particular. If he was starting on an NFC team I'd be wishing him all the success in the world.
