  1. Also depends on what the OC is gonna want to run as his system. If you're u get an OC who expects 30-35 throws a game, including over the middle, Tyrod won't be able to execute the system. As Shady gets older he's gonna need less of the load so I really don't think this changes anything. Let's wait to see who the OC is.

  2. Just how much better do you think this hypothetical running game could be with a hypothetical QB? It leads the league as it is. Short of a Brady, Rodgers type defenses will continue to stack the box vs Bills ground attack.

    Ok,

Imagine what our passing game should be if the opponent still would have to stack the box with a QB who can make the throws most would expect an above average QB to make on a consistent basis. Better?

  3. I know it's difficult to sit here and drink in our 17th consecutive season without the playoffs, it sure is for me (that's more than half my life).

But let's not look at every other team and try to copy them, as though all of the teams are playing in a vacuum. There is not a coincidence to the fact that Brady/Bellichek has had all of their success during our drought. Other teams make their moves and squeak into the playoffs from their annual turnstile of divisions, as the 4 teams in each division typically rise and fall.

Not New England. We have been stuck behind them, only leaving us to fight for a wild card spot amongst the other 11 non-division winners, and sometimes we are there for the spot until the end, and sometimes we just don't have the team, and are out early. But to compare us to almost any other team but the Jets or Dolphins would be inaccurate. No, we haven't been great, but we also haven't been "no playoffs in 2 decades" bad, on our own, until you factor in who has been stuck at the top of our division, blocking the most likely path to the playoffs every team has (where they compete with 3 other teams, to win the division, vs. 10 others that we have had to fight through to get to the wildcard spot).

I don't think we're as bad as it seems, and things will improve in the next 2 or 3 years, when NE weakens. Just don't blow it up now, as an overreaction.

Have faith. We will get there.

Only problem is the first time I read this post was about 6-7 years ago or so cause Brady's decline was right around the corner. Then again 2-3 years ago cause how long can he really go? Now here we are again saying again just be patient because Brady's decline is surely coming soon... as he's probably heading to the super bowl again this year. I'm so tired of excuses, the real problem is this organization has made terrible decision after terrible decision, especially concerning the QB position. If we sign TT to this option, which many don't seem to realize makes him our QB for the next 2-3 years minimum with the dead cap it creates, we will just be continuing the Bills tradition of horrible decisions. Blame Brady if you want but last time I checked he can be beaten, even on the biggest stage, we just haven't figured out how to do it for his entire career, no matter who the players or coaches are. No more faith in the ones who have screwed up over and over again, it's time for results. Brady will play till he's 50 if he has anything to say about it. Should we expect to see this sentiment again in 2-3 years again?

  4. How can you say it's not our money? Where does it come from then? Is the NFL a charity to its teams and let the networks broadcast the games for free? Every ticket or Bills or other teams item you buy, every time you watch a game on TV and pay your cable bill, everytime you subscribe to redzone or Sunday ticket, every video game you buy, every item you buy at the grocery store to eat or drink while watching the game, every ad you watch on TV, every radio broadcast you listen to, every newspaper you buy for the sports section, every ad you watch, every click online you make to read about the NFL or Bills, every post you make on their official website and thousands of other ways you are giving money to the NFL which then part of which goes directly to the Bills. Every dime of every contract and just about anything the NFL does comes directly from our pockets, whether we're writing the checks or it's indirectly is not the point. It still is all payed for and profited from by all of us. How can you not understand that?

  5. If we go for it and don't get it I disagree that the majority would be as pissed as we are right now. 4 mins left in your season, one TO and a defense that has been stomped on for two games by that point by the fins and the running defense has been is shambles for two years. It's like they really didn't know a tie was not an option. No question in my mind you have to go for it and be the aggressor in that spot. If we punt we have little to no chance to stop then run half the field in the less then one min that would be left with no timeouts even if the defense did their job. Most outcomes in that situation is we somehow lose, the only way to switch that up is to go for it and get it. If we don't then we don't but at least we had the balls to try to give it all to get to the playoffs. I don't think Rex would be getting killed nearly as much if we went for it and didn't get it but he deserves all the **** he's getting for being spineless in the biggest in game decision of his Bills career. We had to go for it, no brainer.

  6. We don't even know what kind of offensive strategy he employs. He's has been using a few of his ideas but the majority has been a cut-down version of Romans scheme. You can't completely change offensive theory in the middle of the season. I would like to know what his philosophy is before he is hired as HC or even full time OC. The ground and pound hasn't gotten us to the promised land and Shandy is not getting any younger, so I would hope he has a bit more passing in his playbook. We need more of a balanced attack, so if we need that 2 min drive to win the game we have a plan in place to be able to pass the ball. Also what would he be looking for in a defensive plan of attack. Stick with the 3/4-5/2 or back to the 4-3, which I personally believe we have better players for on our roster right now. Not opposed but not on board until we know more about him and his football ideas.

  7. Complete rebuild top to bottom. Now is the time and opportunity to do so. We have to hope the Pegulas feel the same. The years of rebuilding, retooling, changing coaches every 2-3 years has to stop. This is not a marketing experiment, this is a damn football team whose number one goal is to wi the super bowl. Who we have now and the way we've been doing it for the last decades is not gonna get it done. Time for new, fresh ideas from proven experienced football people.

  8. Should hire a president of football operations. Coaches and GM report to him and he reports to the owners. The president of football operations has final say on all hiring and drafts and free agents and uses the info and requests from scouts, coaches and GM as opinions to consider. But he makes the final decisions, no ifs, ands or buts and answers only to the owners. That would fix 75% of the issues with this organization in a heartbeat.

  9. Yea but this is the opportunity to do it right. New owners can completely gut the entire dumpster and start from scratch with actual proven football people at the helm making the football decisions, if they have to balls to do so. I hate the constant rebuilding bs but I'm down for 2-3 years of bad things man to finally set this organization as a whole on the right course for the next couple of decades. I mean, be honest, are we gonna make any waves in the next 2-3 years anyway doing the same old **** that has gotten us to be one of the consistently average to below average teams in football? The time is right, the opportunity is here let's hope the owners see the possibilities that could be had with a complete rebuild top to bottom. Please we're begging you, we promise we will still pack the stadium and buy your merchandise and buy your $10 beers. Just give us some real hope for a future of prosperity for our beloved Buffalo Bills. Don't get sucked into the same old same old by the same snake oil salesmen who have run this team into the ground for decades.

  10. To be fair we are wasting his talents as a NT. He is NOT a NT. He, as well as most of our players, are better suited for a 4-3 base scheme not the 3-4/5-2 that Rex loves to run. Need a big huge Wilfork NT for those schemes to work. In the 4-3 base Darius and Kyle rush and fill up the middle and Lawson and Hughes coming off the corners with a blitzer or two. It's so clear and obvious it's hard to see how defensive guru Rex doesn't see it.

  11. Not gonna read all 7 pages but I started a topic on this before the game and people were coming out of the woodwork calling me a loony for even daring to consider Russ having anything to do with the football side of the front office and Rex's hire. I also called for a complete purge of the front office leaving only the owners and they newly appointed president of football operations or GM who is qualified for both positions. Again, ripped to shreds, I mean the team say he's not involved so how could he be? They wouldn't lie to us no way!

Anyways burn it down and fumigation sounds like an excellent idea. GO BILLS!!
