  1. This fanbase has been infatuated with the tight end position since Pete Metzelaars.  There is generally like 5-6 game changer TEs in the league. And even then they rarely win Super Bowls. Having a solid TE or two is fine.  It’s a luxury unless the QB is a rookie or completely had their confidence shattered and needs a security blanket.

Our Qb is growing. He now has 3 security blankets in Diggs, Smoke and Beasley.

Give Kroft the start since he’s the hot hand. Don’t need the potential this and that.

Here's a question: was it better to be screwed over by the refs, or win that game and get destroyed by the Chefs the following weekend?

I would have loved to have gotten punched in the faces by the Chiefs. Would make the team that much more motivated this year.

Yeah, I think I care more about playoff wins than lockerroom hugs. You should too. Good coach. His defense choked in Houston. I don't doubt that the franchise is moving in the right direction but I would have waited another year.  There are no salary cap issues if he fails unlike extending Fitz too early but still I don't see the need to extend his contract now.

I am kind of the same. However I can see the meaning behind it.  Rewarding progress. Telling players and potential free agents that this isn’t a fire a coach every other year; stability.

Also little things like his family knowing “okay we can settle down in Buffalo with school and such”.

  4. We will get our usual Thursday as does the rest of the league and probably one Monday night game against the Jets. We may get a flex later in the season if we don’t collapse.

While we did make the playoffs we still don’t have the media/league love outside of the same 2 people who pick the Bills every year.  Brady and the Bucs will get their share. Along with KC and Ravens.  You can count on Dallas getting their usual 3+ games and the 9ers, Seahawks, Pittsburg, saints and rams.  Browns because they are still a media darling.

The ratings were decent 1 to 1.5 shares - better than most other things on.  The problem was always cost associated with producing and filming football games.  The articles talking about both the AAF and the XFL talked about needing a minimum of 2.0 shares just to break even.  If the XFL was going to get a network contract that paid them money - they needed average network shares of between 2.5 and 3.0.  The AAF was even worse because they were covering some of the network costs also.

The attendance was good in a few markets (St. Louis and Seattle mainly), but very poor in most other markets and the product suffered from the stadium size and lack of fans.  The attendance numbers were not even enough to cover the stadium rental agreements in many cases.

Vince supposedly set aside enough money to keep it afloat a minimum of 2 years and maybe a third knowing that he was going to lose huge amounts of money the first 2 years.  The hope seemed to be especially after the initial weekend that they could get and maintain enough viewership to renegotiate the deal and make some TV money.  The ratings at the end (before March madness took even more viewers) had dropped to levels that were break even for the network - I think Vince knew he was not getting the TV deal anytime soon.

Now if they had been smart and opted to have the teams play in towns close together in the Midwest (St. Louis, OKC, Indy, Memphis, Louisville, etc.) - they could of saved on travel, used smaller stadiums, and created more of a college vibe - like you saw in St. Louis, but the TV stations want big markets: LA, NY, Washington and those cities were failures for the most part.

Good reply. And now looking at Vince in the whole picture with some other news, he’s trying to keep his bread and butter afloat first (wrestling) as he sold his stock at a lower price when it dropped prior to this ordeal from firing presidents in his company.

And the NFL holds supreme... Just can't beat the best talent.

Or...or. Hear me out.  They had to postpone /suspend their season because of some little thing going on and with not being able to continue this year...and the uncertainty of “when” large crowds will be able to attend again...and people not having money to blow on entertainment when this blows over for a league that isn’t the premier league...was probably why.  Not “lol rasslin lol xfl lol it sucked” You act like their ratings weren’t decent (for content starved networks as more and more continue to cut the cord) as well as attendance in stadiums.

  7. Take the money if he’s about it.  No shame in that if a team overpays him. The game is short. His teammates won’t be paying his bills after he’s out of the league.

Would I love him to take a pay cut and stay? Of course. As a lifelong Bills fan I take them over any single player, but I’m never upset if they leave for the money.  It’s a game. A short one at that.

This is such BS. I really don't see the same comments being aimed at Green Bay, or Arrowhead, Chicago, etc. Those stadiums are just as old with updates happening every few years, just like New Era. I wonder why there's such a push only for Buffalo.

I also realize I could be wrong on those stadiums I mentioned, I haven't looked into this stuff since the last time it came up.

Because people who go to games in Buffalo aren’t dropping a lot of money on tickets. I believe they are still one if not the cheapest tickets in the league.

Fans won’t pay more for tickets if nothing is improved.

on the flip side even with a new stadium those same fans won’t pay higher ticket prices.

You may get a different type of fan showing up to the game if ticket prices go up.

Nope, cuz it doesn't lead to a td for Tenn.

Captain Hindsight. He tosses it out of bounds and they still score and you’d spin it to fit your narrative. Josh is going to make mistakes.  That’s why we have the defense we do.  To bail him out.  We have receivers that hold on the ball.  This isn’t the Josh show.  It’s the defense
