Like I said........the Arkansas staff trashed him..........and Buffalo did their part to perpetuate the disinformation by not playing him in the preseason.

They intended to stash him on the PS.   They succeeded,  but he wouldn't stay there for long, would he?

All he's done is become a sure-fire HOF LT and one of the more respected teammates and football-centric players in the NFL.

So turns out a lot of people were wrong about him...........including you, who was among those who trashed him on here when he was traded.

You guys were on the wrong side of Bills history.........both about Peters and perhaps more damning your believing whatever bullsh*t was spewed by that shyster Russ Brandon..........and you just can't own it.

    Do you have some special

    connection to Peters?

Lol I’m sorry, but the Bills not fessing up and paying this guy proper Left Tackle money is probably the most idiotic move in this Franchises history. 6x All pro, 9x Pro bowler, 2010’s all decade team, Super Bowl champion. Just insane. Who was the GM responsible for this?

Russ Brandon maybe? If I recall correctly they had just redone his contract when he became a full time OL, so there was a concern about precedent of constantly redoing his contract.  The Bills made him what he is to a large extent. He was a fringey TE when he came into the league.

Not a lawyer here, but I actually think a CBA doesn't change the sitch.  I think if you were to say you cut a player because of his religion or his sexual orientaion, that there would be grounds for suit.  And the NFLPA would be glad to help.

Good for you for discussing it at length.  I was suggesting that there was a distinction between league discipline--which the articles I read discussed--and the Comm. exempt list, which did NOT come up in what I had read.

If you don't actually know, fine.  If you do know, elaborate.   If you can post a link to an article, I'll read it.

I think you misunderstand me.  I’m pushing back on the “at will” concept pushed by the prior poster and others.   I’m noting the CBA adds other complications.

Employment is "at will" in NY, BUT, if you state any reasons why you are firing a person, then you have given the person some ground s on which to sue you--whether solid grounds or not.  This is, IMO, what led to the semi-sudden end of their presser; a journalist asking him "So you've been advised by the Bills (attourneys) that there are things you shouldn't adress?"  Beane: "Yes." And then he gets up and leaves.

And “at will” is not really the situation when you have a CBA.

    Just had a random thought…

If the Bills cut Araiza, there’s a good chance they could stash him on their practice squad until the details are fully vetted.

I doubt another franchise would be willing to put him on their practice squad or active roster, given the horrible optics.

If there’s a good enough chance that he DIDNT do this, that might be a preferable options vs keeping him on the active roster.

If you’re going to cut him I don’t see the point of keeping him on the practice squad.  He can just work out at home in that case and not be a distraction.

Ideally there would be some means to put him on leave while this case takes its course.

Plus its unlikely he'd get another job. If the Bills knew about this for a month, like it is implied, they definitely know way more than anyone on this board or on twitter. This organization has done the right thing since these guys took over. They let Mccoy and Dodsons situations play out before they made their decisions on their futures, both were proven wrong. I would not be surprised or upset if they put Araiza on an exempt list until everything came out.

Was Dodson exonerated? I didn’t hear that.

I don't think Austin or Duke are making this team. Crowder is a coin flip. Hodgins depends on stacking performances...but it's gonna come down to special teams...

Duke Williams? He’s back in the CFL.

This is a hugely inaccurate and out of touch assessment.

”Millions” aren’t going to be prevented from watching TNF.  The market the NFL wants isn’t the market with a pair of rabbit ears atop their TV sets.   If you were savvy enough to have satellite TV the concept of a streaming device probably isn’t foreign to you.

The person with the pair of rabbit ears on their TV sets getting HDTV broadcasts of the NFL for free seem to be the more savvy ones to me.
