  1. I just hope it doesn't end up being a repeat of last year's opener vs. the Jests. I felt like the season was going to be a waste after that game.

That opener last year, talk about a let down. After all the hype to just get smacked around, and realizing, yep. Same old bills. Only bright note that day, I realized spiller was finally "special".

So to me, there will be no letdown as long as they don't get blown out. Maybe some high drama, late in the forth quarter with ej leading us into field goal range with time running out ; only to have Hopkins miss a 35 yard game winner. Ha ha ha. Then I can read how everybody wanted to keep Lindell. Same old bills indeed!!

  2. I think Hogan makes it based on the fact that he has been playing with the 1s a lot of the time in preseason. He hasn't done anything to move him from that spot as well although hasn't played out of this world at WR either. He has played well on ST. My guess is: SJ/Woods//Graham/Hogan/Goodwin/Smith/Easley. They try to stash either Rogers or Kauffman on the practice squad but think Rogers get's picked up. Hogan is on the field in four WR sets with either Graham or Goodwin.

    Agreed.

This debate is getting old. Ready for them to cut and be done with it. Off to a new thread...

My take is Summers is playing well as a FB and even better on special teams. He gives the Bills a dimension they don't get from other players. If they don't keep a FB, then we've learned the coaches are fully embracing subterfuge. Why spend time on plays with a FB if they aren't going to be in the playbook (or is it just for our defenses benefit)? Or perhaps he'll be the final cut, and we just abandon the position to make those last tough roster decisions. I'm just saying I think having a FB gives us more choices than keeping 7 WRs and no FB.

And no way would I keep Summers over Easley. But Hogan, Kaufman and Rogers? Yes, I like them all, but I think Summers helps us more now. I'd love to have any of the other guys on the PS (or of course the final 53, if we can fit them).

For some strange reason I like summers too. With all the burners on this team I think an old school FB does ad something. Especially in short yardage and goal line. When he lead blocks he really hits it up in there. I remember him catching a couple passes too last game.

If they did want to keep summers is it crazy to cut lee smith, gragg to practice squad and let Dickerson back up chandler?

Carrington is going to take Kyles job. But that's besides the point.

I agree buddy's worst decision was chan. Or at least accepting chans delusional notion that fitz could work. They should have performed their "exhaustive" search for a qb three years ago. Hopefully better late than never.

As for buddy's picks I really don't have a real problem. The draft is like a box of chocolates....
