  1. The only thing that hasn't been a problem for the past 13 years has been the fans. The fact that this small market still supports this team year after year with a horrible product is amazing.

Sure bills fans complain a lot but what do you expect since every coaching staff since wade Phillips has been incompetent.

Every time they hire a new coach fans hope this time will be different. When realization occurs that we've got another dud here, understandably we freak out. It's so frustrating.

I think the personnel on this team is the best we've seen in a long time. Should only get better too as young as they are.

I'm concerned about the coaching. I think pettine is great, I'm unsure about marrone, and I'm pretty sure Hackett is a dud.

Im willing to give them this year but if the play calling is still high school caliber at the end of the year, I'd like to see them offer mike pettine his first head coaching job before someone else hires him.

  2. Here's a Hackett quote from our boy wonder for all you haters out there..

“I can help with the play that’s called and with his adjustments, but he needs to go through those pains of, ‘Oh crap what am I looking at?’

“When he gets a feel for that then it will become normal. It’s just like when Army guys beat the (stuff) out of each other so they know how it feels and know how to survive. It’s the same thing for us. We have to mess him up as much as we can so when it happens in the game he’s cool and it doesn’t bother him. That’s why I want Coach (Pettine) to give me everything in practice with his defensive calls and do everything he can to see how it all works.”

  3. I've always liked the old school mindset of a power running game. Nothin demoralizes a defense like going on a long drive runnin it down their throats.

However it's such a passing league today and the skilled positions are so good that ya have to follow suit just to keep pace, so I think the fullback position is in trouble.

I think if you use a fullback properly it can still be useful, obviously short yardage; play action stuff.

I don't really like the way they have used summers. In the pre season they had him lead blocking for spiller, not anymore. Don't think I've seen him on goal line either.

  4.

Exactly. I think the Bills have the advantage in this matchup. Pettine know Ryan and should be able to help the game plan counter the expected defense. Ryan does not have this advantage with regard to the Bills offense. Advantage Buffalo. On Defense, while Ryan certainly knows Pettine, Pettine is not simply running Ryan's defense, but being creative with his own ideas. Advantage Buffalo. EJ vs. Geno - advantage Buffalo. Running game - advantage Buffalo. Receivers - advantage Buffalo.

If EJ can beat their aggressive pressure at the line and the short zones to hit some mid-range throws early in the game, it could be a long day for the Jets. I expect Buffalo to win this game. It could be a close 1 or 2 point low scoring affair, but I would not be surprised with a 34 - 13 score either.

34-13 bills sounds wonderful. These last second games are great but they are making me grey before my time

  5. Like most of you I think it's pretty much bs that Byrd hasn't sucked it up and got on the field.

That being said, Doug has repeatedly defended him as far as Byrd working to get back and being with the program.

From what I see from coach, if he wasn't pleased with Byrd, I just don't see him sugar coating it for the media.

I think its possible that Byrd plays Sunday, and neither us nor the jets will know till then.

It's awesome that we didn't have to even worry about it, but I really question when, in the 3rd quarter of a close game, it's worth burning a time out to change personnel or revise a playcall, especially on offense. I think I'd rather just take the five yards and regroup. 2nd and 4 becoming 2nd and 9 is probably better than losing a time out, right?

Exactly. I like how the no huddle keeps us from getting those delay of game penalties every week that were so common before.

  7. I am confident the Bills defense can handle the Jets offense. It will really be about Manuel being able to find open targets in the face of what I expect will be an attempt by the Jets to flood the short zones with defenders and confuse Manuel with multiple rush looks. I would expect the deep plays to be open all day. The Bills will need to be able to complete passes down the seem and deep sidelines to pull the Jets out of a smothering short yardage look. Fitzpatrick was never able to beat this defense.

    Very good.

Deep throw is still something ej needs pull off.

I'll be looking for it Sunday.

  8. Nice seein Dallas represented.

Who can forget Jerry jones and jimmy Johnson with his fake a** toupee, prancing around like a bunch of smucks yelling "HOW BOUT DEM COWBOYS!" after the superbowls.

    Still makes me wanna puke.

The Monday nighter couple years ago was like a recurring nightmare.

Got me goin on Dallas when I'm supposed to hate the jets...

Gotta stay focused ha ha ha

  9. Doesn't matter who's familiar with whom. It all comes down to the players, the matchups, and who executes better. Neither Rex or Pettine is gonna fool the other guy with something they've never seen. I trust both coaches to put their players in the best position to be successful.

    GO BILLS!!!

I think we're going to see the same thing from Rex's jets that we see every year. (Week 17 last year doesn't count, draft sandbagging).

They will be dirty, physical, run first, smash mouth, sh** talking. They will try to get us to take bad penalties. They know geno can't win the game throwing 30 times.

Bills need to buckle em up, stay disciplined and stop the run. Rex is a total douche but a proven motivator.
