  1. Does it matter? There hasn't been a team in 16 yrs that, even if they got in by the skin of their teeth, could have progressed much farther past the wild card round. Isn't the goal to win the Super Bowl? Who went to the wildcard last year? Who remembers or cares? If you don't win the super bowl then it's all meaningless. Time to reassess what we think a successful season is

I would agree with you, but I haven't seen the Bills in the playoffs since I was a kid. Is it too much to ask?

  2. Truth be told, this one. Not often you your 8 non division games are all against teams under 500...we have this schedule last year, or 2011, or just about any other year...you should make it.

Next year we aint so lucky...NFC West and AFC North...

We're going to have a showdown

    2004 Bills

    Per Wikipedia:

According to Football Outsiders, who has tracked every play in the NFL since the early 1990s, the 2004 Bills are statistically the best NFL team (in their record-keeping history) to have failed to qualify for the playoffs

  3. I don't know what 'blow things up' is supposed to mean. Every off season you need to evaluate your team and drop guys who either don't fit and/or aren't worth what you're paying them and/or can be replaced by cheaper options. Is there a certain threshold of roster turnover that qualifies as a blow up?

And people who think the head coach is going to be fired one year into a long term contract for going 7-9 need to stop sniffing glue.

You could ask Chip Kelly what it means to blow something up

EDIT: Or Jed York. That was also a blow up

I don't think the Bills would benefit from a blow up

  4. Is this the guy that was kinda highly rated coming out of college as a speed rushing DE/OLB but ran a terrible 40 and dropped? Don't know much about him as a pro. If he's good, sign him or claim him or whatever.

edit: someone tweeted that obj bought the whole team beats headphones and Jenkins took a couple pairs and Moore didn't get his. What a dick.

If this is true, sign Moore now.

...If Ray Lewis can be an analyst for NFL network, this guy should be allowed to play football

  5. Buffalo at Philadelphia — LeSean McCoy’s revenge will have to wait for another year. Once DeSean Jackson helped the Eagles out on Monday night with his late-game fumble against Dallas, I knew the other spurned ex-Philly star was headed for a bitter Sunday afternoon at Lincoln Financial Field. If Philly can beat Tom Brady, Tyrod Taylor won’t be insurmountable. The Eagles control their own fate if they win out in the final four weeks. Eagles 27–20.

Faulty logic Don. The Bills won't gift the Beagles with Pick Six and blocked punt return TDs

    5-7 Eagles win out

  6. I've never believed much in this stat.

Last season the Bills led the league midseason in toxic differential and finished in the top 5. So what?

I think it's a good premise for a stat line and many games are decided based on these characteristics. However when you amass tons of turnovers and big plays in just a few games (like the Bills seem to do) it can inflate the perception of how often you're consistently performing at a high level. Some games we play like playoff contenders and some games we lay giant deuces.

  7.

Pretty much a lock, but on any given Sunday. The 5th seed can be had.

    True.

Lots of people have been calling the Steelers for 6th spot. Am I wrong or do we win a tie breaker over a 9-7 Steelers if we beat NYJ and HOU? We will have better conference record at 9-7, and the Steelers can easily lose two more games
