fairly funny.
That about sums it up.

Clearly you've never seen the Browns play. There's not a single player on their current roster that I would trade for. Not even a 7th rounder.
I'd trade a 7th for Joe Haden
-
Darby was on a hot streak at the beginning of the year (mostly out of fear of getting torched like he did all preseason) but his play quickly cooled off. I think he played really well for a rookie but he is highly overrated. He's no Gilmore, and Gilmore is not elite no matter what he thinks. Both are very solid corners but they are not in the elite all pro category
Exactly. We have hot corners but they do get burned a couple times a game

Seattle will handle business and I don't see that being close.
I think the Vikings are the most likely underdog to win this weekend.
GB, MIN, KC, PIT

But I heard Doug Marrone was a top candidate
Let's see which aging bottom tier QB Marrone can dig up to replace Mariota who hasn't progressed quickly enough
-
I will watch the show if they have an LA team or the Bills. All the other teams would be a snooze fest. Jags, Bucs, Bears, Saints? Really? I'd rather put a shotgun in my mouth and pull the trigger with my toes.

+1 yay supreme court

You know who else comes with that package deal? Doug Marrone.
That's what allegedly has been communicated to the Titans.
I personally wouldn't purchase that package of people but the overall "concept" is a good one. The key is finding a combination that has "modern" talent, not talent from yesteryear if you go this route.
Enough with the "old" school talent. Polian. Wolf. Holmgren. Policy. Savage. No. It didn't work with Marv, either.
It's a young man's game.
I agree with your whole post, but I'm not sure how much modern success correlates with new or old talent. Wade Phillips is still great, Chip Kelly still sucks.

Peyton Manning in an Elway type role, Chris Polian as assistant GM and Bill Polian as Grand Poobah/Czar
If #18 decided to hang em up after this season.
After Peyton's football playing career is over he will have far better job options than trying to extinguish a dumpster fire.

There will ALWAYS be injuries and every other team seems to get by just fine when it happens. The depth here sucks and that goes to Whaley specifically.
Yep - look at other teams who have elite QBs. They still work every year to make sure their backup is ready to fill in. In the past 5 years, the Packers, Broncos, Patriots, etc. have all been to the playoffs despite their QB1 being injured for a couple games during the season. And somehow we are holding onto EJ with the hope that he becomes our franchise guy. He handed us two losses early in the season that quite frankly may have cost us playoffs. If we beat the Jags we would have played the Chiefs, Eagles, and Skins with a lot more heart knowing we were in the hunt.

See Ryan Leaf and Sam Bradford

Vikings.
Realistically? Panthers
Fitz for old time' sake (someone mentioned this already)
or Giants - so that fan uproar can cause division restructuring/abolition
the cheaters

Until proven otherwise the Bills are the better and younger team so I'll take the Bills
Younger? Yes.
Better....team? We have no team, we have a bunch of great players running around like redshirts
-
They already have Petty ridin' the pine. Bills > than Jets @ QB, RB, WR, DB, P *= When healthy.
I think the Marshall/Decker duo is currently better than our squad but ours is younger with a higher ceiling in the next 5 years.
But you're right, McCoy/Williams > Ivory/Ridley/Powell
Our DBs are arguably similar, but again ours are probably headed in a better direction
Bills might be good on paper but any argument sounds like a homer when they are 8-5 and we are 6-7
-
I would rather be the Jets everywhere except QB.
Taylor > Fitz
BUT
Their coaching and players are good enough to win with Fitz. I actually think they draft a QB this year and let him sit behind Fitz for one more. They should dump geno.
-
I don't care if we draft in the #19 position, I don't wanna finish the season 6-10. Let's win out and have back-to-back 9-7 seasons in our head instead of regression
Bills 19
Skins 17

lol forgot to put /s at the end
CBF
I was just a kid when Flutie was playing but I loved him. Not the best QB the Bills franchise has seen, maybe not even top 3. But there's something to be said about the only guy who led the Bills to a playoff game that took place in this millennium

Flutie
#endthecurse
CBF
How am I the first to +1 this.
Canadian Bills Fan + CFL = Flutie? I see the connection here
-
Couldn't have said it better myself.

Actually hurts their own sales, because people at least bought and resold their tickets when the Dolphins stunk. Now people will just not buy period.
-
INconceivable. Only losers tank.
Imo
Truth.
However, I do believe that we should give some fliers a chance to play for roster spots next year. Once we're officially eliminated from contention, we should probably give EJ a start too. I've seen all I need to see from Taylor - unless we can get our hands on someone like Matt Stafford (which we won't) TT should be the starter next year with no "preseason battle".
-
None of them.
Go watch this year the Patriots, Broncos, Steelers, Cardinals, Seahawks, and Panthers. That is what a playoff team looks like.
We don't, and haven't in a very long time. The defense in the late 90's was awesome, Everyone knows about the late 80's, early 90's. My dad tells me the mid 60's teams were fantastic to watch.
We don't deserve the playoffs. Period. The sad thing is i have no hope Rex will change anything.
Our league-wide standings don't always reflect the quality of our team. We have been playing perennial superbowl contenders twice a year for the last decade and a half, meanwhile Andrew Schmuck gets in every year playing against the Titans, Texans, and Jags.
However I do agree that we would get our rear ends handed to us in a playoff game against some of these real contenders
Spring football on it's way apparently

Interestingly, it's a publicly traded company. Current stock price is $0.63 - any takers?
