I didn't say compared to today. The USAAF had a precision bombing doctrine that they very much put into effect. They attempted to nail specific targets in Germany using the Norden Bombsight. This was more dangerous than what the Brits were doing. I was at a Cold War history seminar at the Wilson Center in DC when the Conservative commentator said we would of used the A-bomb against Germany if it was ready. I argued against the point by pointing out our use of daylight, precision bombing. It was dangerous and risky and we took heavy losses, but kept doing it. They could of just started fire storms like the Brits did at Hamburg with the much safer night missions. We did fire bomb raids on the Japanese, and then nuked them -

There was precision bombing in WW2 practiced by the 8th Army Air Force. And of course they were not as accurate as todays weapons eighty odd years later -

Thank God!!! It's at least something https://www.washingtonpost.com/national-security/2024/03/12/ukraine-weapons-package/ The Biden administration said Tuesday that it will send another $300 million in security assistance to Ukraine as President Biden’s request for billions of dollars more remains stalled in Congress. The emergency package, announced by the White House on Tuesday, will be funded by “unanticipated cost savings” from contracts the Pentagon had brokered to replace weapons previously provided to Ukraine, national security adviser Jake Sullivan told reporters. The package will include artillery shells and other weapons, he said. “It turns out, we negotiated well,” Sullivan said. “Those contracts came in under budget, so we have a modest amount of funding available. And to a put a fine point on it, we’re able to use these cost savings to make this modest amount of new security assistance available right now, without impacting U.S. military readiness.” Sullivan said the weapons approved for transfer include guided multiple-launch rocket systems, which the Ukrainian military has used to great effect against the invading Russian military. “It is assistance that Ukraine desperately needs to hold the line against Russian attacks and to push back against the continued Russian onslaught in the east and in other parts of Ukraine,” Sullivan said. Oh, you already posted! Nice job!

Not much of a surprise at this point https://www.mediaite.com/news/new-trumps-jaw-dropping-praise-for-nazi-leader-adolph-hitler-revealed-to-cnn-by-ex-chief-kelly/ “He said, ‘Well, but Hitler did some good things.’ I said, ‘Well, what?’ And he said, ‘Well, [Hitler] rebuilt the economy.’ But what did he do with that rebuilt economy? He turned it against his own people and against the world. And I said, ‘Sir, you can never say anything good about the guy. Nothing,’” Kelly recounted. “I mean, Mussolini was a great guy in comparison.” “It’s pretty hard to believe he missed the Holocaust, though, and pretty hard to understand how he missed the 400,000 American GIs that were killed in the European theater,” Kelly told me. “But I think it’s more, again, the tough guy thing.” Trump’s admiration for Hitler went further than the German leader’s economic policies, according to Kelly. Trump also expressed admiration for Hitler’s hold on senior Nazi officers. Trump lamented that Hitler, as Kelly recounted, maintained his senior staff’s “loyalty,” while Trump himself often did not. “He would ask about the loyalty issues and about how, when I pointed out to him the German generals as a group were not loyal to him, and in fact tried to assassinate him a few times, and he didn’t know that,” Kelly recalled. “He truly believed, when he brought us generals in, that we would be loyal — that we would do anything he wanted us to do,” Kelly told me.
