  1. Neither, both are wastes of money. Mario is nothing but a shadow of his former self (WHEN he could be somewhat consistent) and Byrd is overhyped by Bills fans because of one season. And I don't care what level a Safety plays at, they aren't worth the jack Byrd wants.

I dont think Byrd is a waste of money... neither Mario. They both are good players.

  2. Here's a hypothetical.

As a show of good faith and camaraderie, Byrd reports to the team, doesn't participate in any drills but spends time around the facility and familiarizing himself with the scheme.

    Hopelessly ridiculous?

Is that what he is really doing? If so they might be closer then you think.

Byrd's game-changing has resulted in how many wins?

Look, I'm not attacking Byrd, but inflating him to hero status is a bit silly. It may also be unwise for Buffalo to devote upwards of $9M per season to a player at a position from which they may get reasonable productivity out of other options.

    He cant do it all.

Ya, that to much, but they should be able to give him something good. Hes not a come in and go out guy, hes in the game almost every play.

  4. Lets just move on with Aaron Williams at free safety. And put $6.91m to better use. Hope Jairus saved up some money from last year as he is not getting a pay check from the Bills any time soon. Tell Parker that he has our best offer, take it or leave it. Two first round picks if you want to play for someone else, assuming another team would pay more than $7m.

Aaron Williams? Really? The guy cant cover anyone! And he isn't that good at tackling. Byrd might be a lot of money but at least you know you have a game changer on defence. I say to pay him the money, if it is to much maybe let him walk but this is the NFL if your good you cant expect playere to take a cheap contract.

  5.

Ever heard of Lynn Swann or Michael Irvin? ;)

I know WR's wear those numbers, you just don't see them often, that's all.

Goodwin wore #84 at Texas. Scott Chandler wears that number for the Bills.

If we see him this season ;)
