  1. This would be ideal, better overall weapons for EJ to grow with. *Dream* Pick - Bills manage to pickup Watkins (would have to be via trading up)
  2. Have you been a Bills fan long? Risks are what is NECESSARY at this point, having the longest playoff drought (14 years, 2009) is a jokeshow. I'm not saying we jump on this....the idea of Mack falling to #9 and/or retaining all our picks for a few of Marrone's gems (#TheLegendOfKikoAlonso) has me salivating.... BUT The thought of having far and above the best TE & Top 5 WR in the league, paired with our young QB & offense, seems justifiable. Based on last year's drafted receivers, we have speedy vertical threats (Goodwin, Woods, Graham) and simply don't have a reliable middle of the field monster for EJ to drop the ball to. It would be nice to see Graham & Gronk compete twice a year, as well as the fact that it's a proven offensive stud for 2 (possible) 1st round "projects". I get that any rookie can become the next (insert Hall-of-Famer here)....but wouldn't you rather have someone who's ALREADY proven to be the best at their position? While it's unlikely to happen, it's at least worthy of conversation with a team that hasn't had a relevant TE for....FO-EV-ER
  3. Recently heard that Saints placed NON-EXCLUSIVE Franchise Tag on Jimmy Graham. This means that a team has to: A) Work out an agreed contract with his agent & B) Give up (2) First Round draft picks. Why isn't this something we're discussing? It's been years since the Bills have had a solid TE threat (Riemersma? No idea who our best all-time is...), most teams having 2 better on-field TEs than our Starter! To me, this seems downright silly that we're not at least discussing this....(2014 #9 pick & a 2016 or 2017 1st Rounder for the best TE in the NFL??). This would be a strong commitment to EJ & the offense, especially with the depth at OL in this year's draft class. Wouldn't mind seeing us commit if Mack is unavailable at #9, let Marrone's expertise in Offensive Lineman give us a solid contributor later on in the draft. Thoughts from the peanut gallery?
  4. It's time we begin the talks of what we have on our hands for 2013-14 Regardless if he sits Week 1 (knee), this is THE Rookie Of The Year EJ + Marrone = PLAYOFF GLORY GO BILLS
  5. Extremely helpful! Thank youuu looks like I will have to stream from my phone/tablet thru an HDMI to a monitor in order to tune-in. GO BILLS!
  6. If so, please direct to what channel?? Last Sunday here in Central NY the game was going to be on NFL Network.....but ended up being broadcast on CBS... can anyone clue me in? I will be near Watertown, NY trying to watch in any bar who has access. Thanks in advance!
  7. This Subject Name MUST be changed. Leads on to believe that the OP meant that EJ should never be QB1 aka our starting Quarterback. Also, number worn is not a matter of concern. However, #s are important as far as.....WINS. Nothing else. EJ could not complete a pass the whole year (exaggeration) but if we at least make the playoffs, I'm happy. BILLIEVE
  8. 1 month away now - let's start brainstorming now people! Here's some starters: Spiller High Life Manuel Overdrive Going to RALPH Buffalo Jills Flutie Flakers Marrone's Marauders Unpaid Bills Your Turn.
  9. L Let's make him #1 Bills fans getcha popcorn ready
  10. How is there not more talk surrounding our future QB - Sir EJ Manuel?? Bills fans start buying this guy's J # he will turn the tides of the AFC East this year. DROUGHT NO MORE!! IN EJ WE TRUST
  11. This is an actual topic. There will be a 2014 draft. The Bills will have a 1st round pick no matter what. It is not a stupid question. Are you stupid for posting a response with no meaning? No. You are simply an ignorant person who just wasted about 5 minutes of your time wording a statement that can remain unsaid. Hope you have a great day.
  12. To add to your point - I would like to see him traded if he's unwilling to play for Buffalo any longer. Whether we get 2 - 2nd rounders or even just one at least it is some value. Hopefully Duke Williams can step up this year and Aaron Williams' transition to safety goes smoothly. I personally wouldn't be upset if we traded any of the following for picks: B. Smith, TJ Graham or Mario. The latter being a player I'd like to see pay off, but our expectations were too high for him/his role on the DEF last year and his injuries played a key role in adhering his abilities/our play.
  13. With Byrd unsigned & not reporting - who are possible trade suitors and what would we get for him? Any other players worth trading away on our squad for better value? (picks, young players, etc.) Whaley seems to be taking an initiative to make moves (i.e. Hughes trade, Branch signing). Crossing my fingers that our LBs can pull it together this year!
  14. This is the first I've heard of this [likely] scenario. All other teams who have grabbed their future QB have done something similar in years following their rookie season. With our RBs, WRs, DL & secondary in check for years to come (Byrd pending), I could see this as the likely route. If we finish in the bottom 5 this year, there's no question in my mind that we make an attempt to grab Johnny Football or Clowney if they are available. We wouldn't want to pull a Maybin again now would we?
  15. 26CornerBlitz - here's my 'best-possible' scenario based on our schedule this year....you tell me why I'm looking beyond. New Coach, New QB, New System. 1 - Pats=L 2 - Panthers=L 3 - @ Jets=W 4 - Ravens=L 5 - @ Browns=W 6 - Bengals=L 7 - @ 'phins=L 8 - @ Saints=L 9 - Chiefs=L 10 - Steelers=L 11 - Jets=W 13 - Falcons=L 14 - @ Bucs=L 15 - @ Jags=W 16 - 'phins=W AT BEST (maybe) we finish 6-10. Check out the # of teams coming off the bye week before we play them if you don't believe our BS sched....: http://www.buffalobills.com/news/article-2/NFL-scheduling-in-need-of-regulations/908bf9be-181f-46a6-9b76-c632ea671dbc
  16. All jokes aside, where do we end up picking next year and who do we select? What makes sense from a position standpoint? I wouldn't mind continuing to select a QB until we finally get it right. Better than missing out like year's past. BILLIEVE EJ MANUEL ROTY CIRCLE THE WAGONS Admin feel free to move this to another thread....just didn't find one which discussed the "loaded" draft class for next year, according to analysts.
  17. What does being a Bills fan mean to you? 3 descriptive words, 1-sentence, etc.
  18. Pros: 1. Fully-capable of getting multi-TD games 2. Can rush 5 times for 1 yard total, then break off a 20-30 yard run. 3. Ability to stay on for passing downs Cons: 1. His nickname is too catchy - "Spiller High Life!"
  19. FF enthusiast here..... What type of production are we looking at this year for CJ Spiller? Typically I tend to stay away from drafting my Bills players, just because I don't like to mix the two (BONEHEAD move last year...) Anyway, does CJ really rank among the Top 5 RBs in terms of point production for the 2013-14 season? A few things which worry me: 1. New coach & system 2. New QB 3. Fred Jackson still has some left in the tank 4. Health concerns? (not really) Thoughts everyone?
  20. Thanks for the update - any other hints as to how much he will unleash the beast this year?!? #SpillerHighLife #SpillerTime
  21. Can anyone give a summary of what UFA signings we have made thus far? I have heard Chibane is coming from Syracuse O-line
