  1. Now I don't know enough about the 9ers to claim to know what they are thinkin about doing with Smith but I do know that he is guaranteed 8m if he is not cut by April... seems a steep price for a back up but if you weigh it against the fact that Kaep will still be paid off his rookie 2nd round pick contract maybe not?
  2. Things will obviously change before April but as of now it looks like Kelse/Williams/McDonald will all be available in the 4th maybe even 5th. Paired with a healthy Chandler I think any of the three would add an interesting dimension to the passing game and IMO Kelce and Williams are capable of starting while Chandler rehabs. Just my. 02
  3. ^^ this I think we can address it in the 4th or 5th round and find a starter... we'll see
  4. Good point... really like Cook and Walker
  5. I was impressed with McDonald as well Senior Bowl week. Unbelievably I have yet to see a mock draft where he is even drafted! I think this draft is going to produce 4-6 longtime starters at TE and would be disappointed if the Bills didn't invest a mid-round pick on one of these guys.
  6. I don't think we will be in play for Eifert or Ertz simply because I find it hard to believe we use #8 or #40 on a TE and they will both be off the board before round 3. I'm higher on Eifert than you Tasker... I think he's got great hands and with more consistent qb play his production would have been much better. He was one of the only Irish players that looked as if he belonged on the field with that Bama defense. Wouldn't be surprised if Chicago or GB grab him in round 1
  7. Everything I've read has projected Eifert and Ertz as late 1st early 2nd round picks. I'm a big fan of Travis Kelce out of Cincinnati. Willing blocker, good size, good hands, above average speed for his size. Fauria is a great red zone target as well.
  8. IMO after QB and LB, Tight End is the next biggest need for the Bills. With the injury to Chandler I believe it becomes even more necessary to draft a TE in this draft. Also the trend in the NFL seems to be leaning towards teams using alot of 2 TE sets in the passing game. I believe this is a pretty good class at TE and believe the Bills could find some value in the middle rounds. Just wanted to get others feelings on the need for the Bills to draft one of these guys and/or who specifically. Go Bills!! Tyler Eifert 6'6" 250 Notre Dame Zach Ertz 6'6" 249 Stanford Gavin Escobar 6'6" 255 San Diego St Joseph Fauria 6'6" 255 UCLA Chris Gragg 6'3" 236 Arkansas Travis Kelce 6'5" 249 Cincinnati Phillip Lutzenkirchen 6'4" 255 Auburn Ryan Otten 6'6" 245 San Jose St Jordan Reed 6'3" 241 Florida Dion Sims 6'5" 276 Michigan St Vance McDonald 6'4" 260 Rice Mychal Rivera 6'3" 237 Tennessee Jake Stoneburner 6'3" 241 Ohio St Levine Toilolo 6'8" 265 Stanford Michael Williams 6'6" 269 Alabama
  9. While I understand and agree with your point, I meant would anyone on this board rather take any of the rookie qbs over Freeman.
  10. If Tampa is dumb enough to deal a 25 year old stud qb that is maybe a year or two away from his prime then we should be on the phone with their front office every day. I can't imagine they would want to get rid of this kid but if they are serious we should be all over it. Would anyone really rather have any qb in this draft class over Freeman??
  11. Seems like this may be borderline blasphemy on this board but I'm ok without taking a qb in this draft or maybe a 4th or 5th on Manuel or Bray if Whaley/Marrone/Hackett think their franchise qb is in next years draft between Bridgewater, Murray, McCarron and Boyd
  12. Id personally prefer Kruger or Ellerbee to Johnson, I believe I read somewhere that it was very unlikely that the Ravens have the cap space to resign both and the bump that they will both receive coming off a SB run virtually assures that. But I do agree that addressing the LB position in FA is a goid idea. If I had to choose only one move to be made in FA however it would 100% be signing D. Bowe. We lack a big physical "throw it up and let him get it" #1 WR. Bowe would take some attention off Stevie and allow us to move him around and into the slot more where I believe he could be lethal. That, paired with the fact that WR is a difficult position to expect a rookie to have an immediate impact unless you find a AJ Green or Julio Jones would make me lean toward WR in FA and fouble up on LBs in the draft.
  13. I think if the Bills stay at 8 they need to draft a player that will have an immediate impact on the field. IMO the only QB that will immediately have a positive impact is Smith and I don't think he'll slip to us. If the Bills strongly feel Wilson or Nassib can be that guy then I'm 100% behind it, I just don't see it. Think Fisher could make our line dominant for a long time (assuming we resign AL). Milliner with Gilmore would give Pettine alot of flexibility and a green light to bring pressure from all angles. Another pass rusher like D. Jordan/J. Jones opposite MW sounds scary as well...
  14. I think drafting two qb's is a good idea if the chips fall correctly. Id prefer 2nd and 4th round qbs over 1st and 3rd with thus class.... unless we move up for Geno. I wouldn't be upset with Nassib/Jones/Glennon in the 2nd Manuel/Dysert/Bray in the 4th
  15. Ideal situation for me: start by resigning Levitre and either resign or franchise Byrd. Cut McGee, Kelsey, and Spencer Johnson. Make a hard push for Bowe (think he'll be more likely to stay in KC with Reid there), sign either Kruger or Barwin. As far as the draft, I feel that with a top 10 pick you have to draft a difference maker at his position. Obviously if they believe one of these QBs is that kind of player, do what you have to do to get him. Personally I don't see it unless Geno slips to us. Therefore I wouldn't mind Fisher/Milliner/D. Jordan/Ogletree in that order. 2nd round qb Jones/Nassib/Glennon will most likely all be there. 3rd round Id love to see Chase Thomas or Quinton Patton then 4th take another qb maybe Manuel/Dysert/Bray.... A guy can hope right? Go Bills!!
