  1. RIP Mr. Saimes All Pro member of the best defensive backfield the Bills and the AFL ever had / Butch Byrd, Booker Edgerson, Charlie Warner, and George Saimes.

Its sad to see these legends pass. Hell as a boy I had all their football cards. Its guys like George that shaped my fan-hood at a very young age. OK I was an LA Rams fan as a boy. Roman Gabriel. Billy Truax. Les Josephson, Jack Snow. The fearsome foursome. Etc. But I was very aware of the AFL Buffalo Bills. They were my 2nd favorite team back in the 60's. Not anymore. I live and breath Buffalo Bills regardless of how bad they are.

RIP George. Luv ya man. RIP.

  2. But, ok, legal tampering. Tampering =bad. legal =but it's all ok.

So, cheat and do things on the down low and it's "legal" just do not do too much bad or make another team mad or they will file a complaint and win. Most importantly, remember SpyGate, because if it is really bad and makes us look bad, we will have to punish you (wink wink) and we will make sure it goes away.

Just destroy the evidence. Thats all. No biggie !!

ps...jboys...Good sig line link there. eusa_clap.gif

  3. After hearing his glowing review of Matt Scott (Russell Wilson, Drew Brees comparisons), it's weird that Dysert was the first one being talked about in the segment...LOL

Ya know what ? Draft em both !! Or equivalent. We need a QB bad bad bad bad bad. Draft more than one is what I'm thinkin. I get corn-fused watching the film on QB's. They all look pretty darn good to me. Just find it Buffalo. Find it. Reverend Marrone I'm counting on you man !!

  4. It'll be interesting to see which quarterbacks go where.

Apparently (according to your link) Nassib also had an excellent Pro Day so his stock is unlikely to fall I think.

    We're getting close fellas.

Only 48 more days till the draft!

Boy it sure will be interesting. Ya know, maybe I'm just OD'n on Kul-aid but damn...for some reason I've got a good feeling about our QB situation going forward. I just have that feeling we're gonna take someone in round 2....maybe even 3 and the player is gonna work out well for us. And...prior to that pic we'll land a difference maker....maybe a WR or a LB at # 8. Hope I'm right on this.

This should be good off season. And...I'm new here and I really appreciate all of the insight you guys bring. You guys know yer sh*t. I've learned a lot from all of you. Many thanks everybody.

  5. Steven Jackson. Oh God...PLEASE don't go to the Patriots. Frankly, I love Steven Jackson.....and I dont want to hate em. If he goes to NE its gonna just kill me.

Obviously we have needs to address and RB isn't one of em. I like Steven so much I almost wish we did need a RB !! LOL !!

I wish him well wherever he ends up. He's one of those guys that just makes this game great.

  6. i don't really see the bills going after another vet qb. the problem with fitz and his contract are that whether you keep him or cut him, he counts about 10 million towards the cap. in that regard i don't see them cutting fitz and using more cap space on another vet qb who probably is a lesser qb than the guy you just cut. but, i've been wrong plenty of times.

This makes sense to me. A couple thoughts... I would like to think Fitz could help mentor our new rookie starting QB. I would also think he could be an effective back-up should the new QB go down. He'd be hungry to play, and healthy from not getting banged around...and (hopefully) play well enough to not lose should the need arise.

Keeping him around in our situation may end up being the best option.

  7. Interesting...I don't know what gave me this feeling after I read that...But for some reason I'm wondering if The Bills had assumed Fitz would agree to a pretty big re-structure and pay-cut in order to clear the money for Levitre...And instead Fitz is saying no...forcing their hand...And they still have not decided what to do...

    Just a thought... B-)

Actually you've probably nailed it right there.

  8. I read on here Fitz can only throw the ball 10 yards. So I guess it must be true ? I havent forgotten this just yet and I wouldn't be bothered at all if Fitz remains a Bill ...albeit after a contract restructure.

EDIT: Fitz may well be a useful vet on this team. Great mentor, solid back-up.

(ps....I dont know how to post video on this site...sorry.)

  9. You guys are nuts and I mean that in a good way. Some pretty darn interesting analysis here. Man its gotta be tough in the war room for the muckety-mucks figuring out who to take in this draft / FA period.

Lets hope they get it right and we're all ecstatic about a winning season in 2013. Can't damn wait.

Thanks fella's. Keep up the great work.

  10. Worst. Preview. Ever.

Barkley answered can you be Brady/manning with "I want to be and think I can be that kind of player by putting in the work like they do"

Geno described his legacy as "a hard worker that's humble and wanted to win every game"

And they showed like 3 passes from each

Quotes above totally paraphrased but get the gist of the answers.

Yup I also tuned in. Thanks just the same for the heads up though.

  11. You need to read the thread to get the whole context. I got dissed for putting Scott in the same boat as Kaepernick and WIlson. It has nothing to do with the Bills picking players.

You could suggest Tom Brady on this forum. They'd all say late round project at best on this chat board. They'd spend all day looking for mud on Brady. They'd eventually find one game. They'd say "I told ya so". They'd all say the Bills front office knows less than them. They'd suggest drafting someone....that they'd later say sucks cuz he threw a pic and the front office knows nothing. Then they'd say fire everybody. Cut all the players. Its funny as hell when ya come right down to it.

OP could be right on with this idea. Or not. I for one like suggestions like his. I was not aware of the kid he mentions. He doesn't look too bad to me at all, albeit his read of defenses does appear weak in the video but hey that can be fixed in some cases.

  12. Plus, the difference makers on last year's team came on board before super scout was named GM ...

Jairus Byrd is a difference maker. Be proud as a fan to have him on our roster.

......and Vader you are right. We need to lock him down long term if he stays healthy and I sure hope he does stay healthy.

....and Qcity....no worries. S'all good Bro.

  13. I'm with OP.. Our receivers are not very good. Everything gets blamed on Fitz on this silly board. Fitz aint the problem.....not totally. Who's throwing to Stevie ? Yeah...Fitz. Stevie has respectable stats and he is a just above average receiver. A # 2 on most teams.

Give the Harvard grad someone to throw to, that runs the right route and Fitz will be just fine till we find our long term solution.

Doing what the OP says gives the opposing Dee a reason to respect our passing game. Something we lack......and a better opportunity for our running game to rip it up, eat clock and win football games.

There is some merit to this idea. IMHO.

ps...none of us know sh*t about football. We just think we do !!!!
