  1. Like I said in that Shout box. We just watched the Super Bowl as far as I'm concerned. That right there was the two best teams in the NFL squaring off. It's a shame either team had to lose. I'm just glad that I saw it because it is one of the most amazing football games I have ever seen. Maybe the most amazing. Congrats to both teams as far as I'm concerned. An absolute Heartbreaker but a fantastic game. Like Romo kept saying, Whoever has the ball last will win this game.

Not as outlandish a solution as it may sound. I get the feeling a lot of younger people may not be aware that several channels (I get 40 here in Roch) can be latched onto right out of the air with an inexpensive antenna for $0 monthly fees. Its Between $15 and $30 bucks for the antenna w/ power booster.   Its a great and inexpensive add-on to any entertainment system.  Cleanest signal your TV will ever see too.

The Lions play in a dome.  Hasn't worked out particularly well for them over the years.  And....the weather didnt seem to bother the Colts who are a dome team.  When people start blaming the weather (as several did yesterday) for mediocre play, there is work that needs to be done.  I dont know the answer but I doubt a dome helps us any.

  4. Man, this kid Herbert for the Chargers is impressive. He's got a hell of an arm and he's accurate consistently. I guess in my old age I have become more of a fan of players than of just one team. That's after being a Bills fan for about 40 years! But I have had enough of the bills at this point. Sundays are more enjoyable just watching players that I like rather than going crazy about Buffalo. LOL!

  5. I hear you. I lived and breathed Buffalo Bills football from 1980 right up until the last couple years. It just doesn't do it for me anymore. Mostly because of the political wing of government they have become. If they win great if they lose I really don't care anymore. On a beautiful day like today there is no way I'm going to sit inside and watch commercials with an occasional football break in between.

  6. Good review, and one of the few I've seen that evaluated Allen honestly. Many ignored his performance, or blamed everything else but the QB performance.  That play early on where Sanders was wide open and Josh over threw him reminded me of his 1st two seasons.  And, he needs to protect the ball.  I'm not here to blame this loss on him.  It was a team effort in all three phases, mostly offense and ST.  However, giving a contract that huge to our QB based on one good season is questionable practice.  IMHO.

With a stellar dominating performance next week of course, all of yesterday will be forgotten.  Lets hope so because that was a lackluster performance fer sher.

Over the years I have wasted too much energy on this subject.

Move if you wish Terry. Move if you want Terry. Move if you must Terry. Move to Austin, move to Wyoming, move to one of your fracking sites, move to London. I don't care.

JUST WIN A SUPERBOWL THIS YEAR and then you can frig off.

Agree.  Pegula is playing politics knowing that our spineless governor will easily be swayed into being the hero.  Pegula also probably trying to get his claws into Covid money to build his new toy..  Move to China for all I care.  I'm done worrying and am nothing more than a fringe fan at this point after decades of being a crazy-ass passionate fan.  It was a game that united us years ago.  Its a league that divides us now.  I don't need that.

  8. I remember Kelly saying he'd never have been as successful if it were not for QB backup, Frank Reich.  He said Frank was so good on the sidelines at "coaching" and analyzing defenses / schemes and would point out things he'd not realized himself.  No surprise Frank has become a decent coach in the NFL.

  9. My short peonic assessment.................

This one could go either way.  My concerns come with our mostly inconsistent run defense against their dangerous running game.........and our average running game against their strong run defense.  Might be hard to exploit the play fake against this team.  Hoping maybe Daboll will call up some screen plays to Devon. Take advantage on blitzing downs.  I do anticipate (and hope) a decent game by Beasley.  Mostly because I think Josh is gonna be under pressure and will need the short open routes Beasley presents.  We were able to contain Lamar fairly well last time but even in doing that you still have to account for him on every play.  I just hope they are forced to beat us through the air.  I'd hate like hell to watch our guys get run on as I've had to suffer through for decades, even in the Bruce Smith, Corny Bennet era.

Because I don't know squat and am almost always wrong I reckon we'll rush for about 500 yard and hold them to maybe 50 or so.  LOL !

Well I'm just rambling, sorry about that.  Its gonna be a game for the ages !  Waiting for this game kind of gives me that expecting father feeling.  GO BILLS !

  10. I just think it'd be cool as hell if all the dust settled and the AFC Championship was a Great Lakes showdown ... Bills v Browns.

EDIT: ps......... I dont recall "Pill" as AVP's nickname.  Here in Rochester we called him "dough boy" !!
