I know as a kid growing up that magazine along with Playboy TV seemed the ultimate in risque adult stuff growing up.  Little did I know though that that was just the tip of the iceberg then.  Lol

I have a couple magazines I hold as collector items/nostalgia kind of thing.  It usually involved me being a fan or liking whomever was on the cover.  I have the physical copies of the issues where Geri Halliwell, Cindy Crawford, and Lisa Rinna (pre-housewives) were on the cover.  I still have the Maxim and Blender magazines Christina Aguilera was on the cover in the early 2000s.

Funny story if anything this thread is making me think of my late Uncle (R.I.P).  He lead a pretty minimalist lifestyle in general.  When my aunt and uncle went to his apartment to clean it out well it seemed he had years and years subscriptions to Playboy magazine.  Apparently he had hundreds of them in his apartment.

How much do you think your collection is worth?

How much would it be worth if the pages weren’t stuck together?

I have never really seen this guy play, so all my knowledge is second and third hand...

Qualifier aside, one talent evaluator (I think it was lance zierlein) said when he saw him at the senior bowl, he reminded him of a "rolling ball of knives" and that stuck out to me, because the last guy I remember hearing that about was...Kyle Williams.

Size, demeanor, playstyle (apparently)...that's who this guy reminds me of. Lets hope that happens.

    Sans boo boo foot.

On the hate meter, I have the Laffs at a 12 out of 10. Boston at like an 8 right after the Penguins to round out the top 3. Very happy to see them down 3-1 now.

I think I hate the Bruins more because of their Mass hole fans and announcers spanning decades.  I view the Leafs travails as comic relief.

Aaron Quinn believes both Shorter and Cephus will show out well in training camp and preseason, generating a lot of "buzz" amoung  excessively enthusiastic and devoted fans (stans = stalkers + fans)  who will gather together in a vocal support group (hive).

Basically that they're gonna be the new Isaiah Hodgins

Our own ham and egger Andy Isabella was quite the irrational topic as well.

Since Beane has idenfited 2024 as a "transition" year, all of the decisions need to be made in that context.  Signing a Vet WR on a one-year deal does not fit the context of "transition year" at all.

I think his comment referred to the UDFA they signed Xavier Johnson Jr.

So they were working out a guy during the draft?  And this guy flew to Buffalo and ignored any offers from 31 other teams?

I think all 3 of those guys can play. I just think that all 3 of them are being forced into roles that they aren’t capable of (or yet in Kincaid’s case). Kincaid has a chance to be one of the best TEs in football. I don’t think that he should be the top receiving option on a Super Bowl contender at this point in his career. Samuel is a dynamic player with the ball in his hands. He has Deebo qualities. He’s meant to be a change of pace guy not a boundary receiver with volume. Shakir was very good late last year out. He’s versatile and can also run after the catch. I’m just not sure that effectiveness will translate with 100+ targets and defenses focusing on him. They are all good and would be even better with the right people above them on the depth chart (or at least alongside of them).

And the Bills had a first round pick and couldn’t get Odunze, Harrison OR Nabers.  Idiots.  Even after that stupidity they could find a rookie that could handle the load you deem impossible for 2nd year Kincaid.  Idiots.  Plus the guy they picked was not desired as much as a guy that looks just like Cooper Cupp.  I mean…..Cooper Cupp and he looks just like him.

    I think udfa

So a guy flew to Buffalo and worked out for one specific team instead of staying home hoping to actually get drafted…….and…….Beane didn’t want this guy bad enough to draft him but he DID want him bad enough to  violate all NFL rules by flying him in and working him out DURING the draft which would likely cost the team a high pick next year and void any signing?  That’s an odd series of choices by both Beane and the mystery player.  He must be really good.  Sidd Finch?  Taro Tsujimoto?  Jay Clocker?

There's still Mustapha, Taylor-Demerson, Oladapo et al.

I want Beane to be right on Bishop, of course. That everyone else flames out and he's the only stud. It's just still, on draft day, taking a S or LB or RB in the middle of round 2 is like taking a T or EDGE or WR in the middle of round 1. You damn well better be getting a star, a difference maker, and then it's justified.

When does the “middle” of a 32 pick round end?  As you’ve pointed out twice above, 28 is still in the middle.  I’ll assume you agree that 32 is the end.  Are 29, 30, and 31 middle or end IYHO?

Sure ok, I don't disagree with anything you said.

Won't make any difference in January on 3rd and goal from the 8 yard line.

I actually don't think Beane is this tragically stupid. I think he has a deal for a WR in place after June 1st.

Are you saying drafting Troy Franklin or fill in the blank would have put us over the top in January on third and goal from the eight?

    Shirley.

A backup DT is never going to lead anything.

Allen, Milano, and Dawkins is all you need for leaders.

They need playmakers on offense. This draft really sucks.

Two goofballs and a quiet guy are all that is needed for leaders huh?  They’re great players but their leadership is unproven.

Lost: Poyer, Hyde, Morse, Diggs, Gabe, Tre.  All leaders in their own way and Morse, Hyde, Poyer all have a maturity level that will be missed.  Tre led with friendliness and work ethic and will also be missed.  Diggs and Gabe can be debated but not dismissed.

I doubt a 3rd round DT will be looked at as a leader right away but that’s not the point.  Your assertion that we are all set is plainly silly.

you're wasting your time here, man. this place is more emotional than a suburban mom's book club reviewing the latest softcore romance novel after too much wine

You were once almost served as hors d’oeuvres at one of those book clubs.  I think the name of the club was 619 gingercutioners.  When they tell someone to join their club and come “chop it up”, they are NOT talking about discussing books.
