I have said it many times recently, that I cant believe how many people keep defending or saying that Nate deserves more chances when he hasnt shown anything in real games or much in his college career that would say he deserves as many chances or more as he has had to this point to play in the NFL.....

The same can be said of Josh Allen, and that applies to his entire football career, but for the incredibly high price we paid to get him.  That and the fact that McBeane are literally gambling their jobs on his success are the only reasons why he will be given every chance to succeed here.

But he shouldn't be in that position.  He should be sitting on the back burner as a make or break project while the real QB plays football for the Bills.

    Your posts are so bad

Right, b/c the Bills organization has no history of any kind doing business with middling journeyman talents at the QB position!

This is the franchise that just had AJ McCarron in camp and has been playing Derek Anderson off the street!  To name a couple of names from the last few months!

You really aren't tuned in, are you?

  2. For some reason I'm seeing the name Tanner Lee from Nebraska and laughing.  He was taken 203rd overall by Jacksonville in the 6th round.

Seems like the kind of guy who will end up starting for the Bills in 4 or 5 years, after he moves around the league and stews in obscurity.

  3. When I was saying Whaley was a horrible GM, needs to be fired and that he will never work as a GM in the NFL again, lots of folks here called me a troll and all the usual BS.

Those are the same people attacking me now b/c I point out Allen will be a bust and McDummy is an idiot.

Funny how the passage of time ALWAYS changes the herd's opinions on all things Bills-related around here.

In my opinion it doesn't matter if you're a defensive minded HC or not, that's what the OC is for, there have been plenty of successful DC... Coughlin, Belichick, Fox, Billick, the list goes on but you need to find the right OC, do we have that in Daboll? I'm going to say no, I see nothing innovative about his offenses even with what he has top work with at least try new things.

This team has absolutely zero talent at the QB position.

Look no further than that if you're trying to understand why the offense sucks.

Its not for "consistency" it is to allow a group to complete their vision of what the winning team should look like.

They have literally tried every single way to fix this.....they have hired the hot college coach....the experienced coach.....

Now they are trying the "young hot coordinator" approach along with a full team rebiuld and that takes TIME

As people like you love to point out, we made the playoffs last year.

Why strip this down to bare metal and rebuild in this manner?!  Who thought that was necessary?

Also, it's not the 1980s anymore.  Clumsy rebuilds involving entire lost seasons are not in fashion these days, nor are they necessarily required.

I assure you Pegula will not be as patient as you and many other kool aid drinkers at this forum are.

If things don't look "right" next season, we'll be onto the next group end of next year.

The radio shuts off with 15 seconds left on the play clock.

    Allegedly.

Some say that is not the case in Foxborough.

I'd virtually guarantee the equipment and related systems are not checked at games or enforced in any way...and I'd further guarantee that a 2nd year EE major at MIT could have the thing tweaked in 10 minutes so that communication at any time is possible without anyone tracing it.

Incredibly, amazingly...improbably, that offense was somehow more dynamic than it currently is. A 98 or 99 yard TD pass comes to mind.

    It's not that amazing.

Our offense this season may very well go down as the worst in the modern history of the game.

This isn't your good old fashioned variety of Bills suck we are talking about.

This is something special going on this year.

I heard Tedy Bruschi talk about this once, and the way he described it is Belichick instills a lot of changes every single offseason, and there's a lot of experimenting that goes on with different personnel and packages early in the season. He says it's not at all that they aren't prepared physically or mentally for the beginning of the season, but the reason they get better as the season goes along is they're mastering the different things that have been incorporated and finding the right players for certain packages and plays.

He said some teams don't change that much from one year to the next, and they're usually the ones that don't get better as the season goes along and that some teams that do just don't have a head coach as good as Belichick to smooth out all the wrinkles.

In that specific scenario, the Bills D was getting to Brady quite a bit in that game and the Bills had good protection up front and Bledsoe hit some passes that he pretty much didn't for the majority of the rest of that year.

I unfortunately have a feeling McDermott, like his long lost Uncle Jauron, is one of those that what you see is pretty much what you get.

Nice post; sadly your last paragraph seems to be dead on.

  9. Just listening to Schopp and Bulldog and they were discussing soccer.

In the span of a minute, Bulldog pronounced Juventus as "Jew-ventus" with a hard "J" sound, twice.

I had to laugh, but it really pissed me off for some reason.

Keep up the good work Bulldog, you calcio aficionado, you.

It doesn't really matter about wanting losses,,because NO ONE in the NFL is trying to lose games on purpose.  Teams may not have the same talent level but those who are playing, and coaching are trying to win.  These guys jobs/careers depend on it.  Losing and non-production gets people fired and/or smaller contracts.  I can guarantee that McDermott is desperate to beat the Jets this weekend as are the coaches for the Raiders, Cardinals, Giants, etc..

You don't understand what tanking means.

When Bills started 0-8 It was the worse I've ever seen the bills play since I became a fan in 1988. (7 years old ) But at the same time they were in every single game and made it very competitive. They could've actually won 5 of them games . But by far I've never seen Bills play this bad. Things are so bad they made a go fund me account for Peterman ! From last season to this season a complete 360, so what exactly is the process ? I feel like I should know longer trust it. As a fan I would definitely take 2010 over this season any day. I will continue to root for my bills and hope for the best. GO BILLS

Be thankful you're a young as you are.

You didn't have the chance to see some of the '70s and '80s squads.

This organization has been terrible for most of its existence.

  12. It's not regime change that's the problem folks!

It's the crap hiring that has plagued this organization for most of its history.

The trick for breaking the repetitive cycle is hiring quality people who deserve to stick around a long time.

There is zero sense in keeping the wrong people a long time, simply for "consistency."

  13. I fell in love with Bob Wylie on Hard Knocks this year.  Dude is also driving a Maserati which demonstrates, in my opinion, that he exhibits exceptional taste.

He could definitely stand to lose some weight....but I was in tears when he was standing behind the sled talking to one of the players...talking about how we won 2 world wars with jumping jacks and push ups and nothing else.  Or something like that.  He said something like "You think those guys on Omaha Beach were worried about stretching?  Give me a break!"

Guy's as old school as you can get.  I love him.
