Beautiful day in OP, NY.
-
Anyone have the reddit link for the game?
-
First play of game; Shady run through A gap, gain of zero yards.
-
Shady +1 through an A gap.
-
It will be 3rd and 7.
5 yard completion to Zay Jones, tackled 1yard short of first down marker.

I don't understand how some players are cleared by Thursday and some are cleared on Saturday. The hit to the head didn't look that bad, this is a huge loss and I really have enjoyed watching this rookie play and get better each week.
You're dealing with concussion related symptoms, and those vary greatly from person to person in duration and intensity, based on the hit itself, # of past hits, frequency of hits, and God knows what else.
Some guys get dinged and they are dizzy for a week and have to sit still in a dark room to avoid the dizziness.
Other guys are OK and back to normal in a short period of time.

This is a guy who no doubt dyed his hair gray when he was younger to look older and is now dying his hair brown (or black) to look younger.
‘This is also the guy who blew up the #3 defense in the NFL to install the 46 because somehow Tennessee had had the #2 defense...you know, the one that couldn’t stop a one-shoed Rob Johnson’s game-winning drive.
Guy has been BSing his way through life and he’ll never change. Can’t wait to see Cleveland regret this. Because they will.
It's amazing to me how a relatively small pool of coaching names keeps getting regurgitated over and over around the league. They just move from town to town to town.

Anyone still watching T.T. and U.OK?
Exciting stuff!
Texas Tech just scored, went for 2 points to tie; picked off in end zone, Sooner runs the ball like 105 yards for 2 points going the other way!

Give them the offseason to fix the offense but I am not keeping my hopes up. The QB situation is laughable this season and it is why I question if they know how to build an offense in today's game. The fact McDermott believes you can win in this league by playing field position and running the ball is a big question mark.
It might be a question mark for some.
For me, it's more like an exclamation point.
As in an emphatic, crystal clear, exclamatory sentence which says "I don't know what the F. I am doing!"

There's already a thread on this!
And yes, I would!

From an organizational standpoint, I would guess they're most surprised/disappointed in the inability to establish a strong run game.
I really feel like they went into the season expecting to pound the rock and play strong defense. I'm not sure if that's an Daboll, the OL, or Shady. I would be inclined to think it's mostly on Daboll and his run schemes.
Whatever you may think of conservative football, it's not going to work with such a weak ground attack.
That approach isn't going to work straight up.
When was the last time you saw a team play lights out D, pound the rock, and beat New England 13-10?It doesn't happen! You gotta be able to run with the big dogs and outscore the teams that score at will.

Who they got their eyes on CFB people??
Alabama has pro quality talent all over the field.
Defensive backfield, WR corps, defensive line to name a few. -
I agree with him that the Big 10 is almost undervalued as a competitive division. Top to bottom, it's one of the toughest divisions in the country and it's been that way for many years.
I'm not sure how to devise a perfect ranking system.

Texas Tech QB Alan Bowman knocked out of the game at halftime.
During halftime warmups Bowman was hit in the head by a stray football. Bowman was not wearing a helmet and has been ruled out for the rest of the game. No word yet on the exact injury, most likely either a concussion or hit in the eye.
Very odd set of circumstances, no doubt.

OK I did not think it was in McDermott's DNA to tank on purpose.
Guess what: they are tanking on purpose.
That is the only explanation.
Anderson played through the game Monday, but now still has a concussion after almost a week? Sounds improbable.
And Allen was well enough to practice. I'll take a 50% Allen over 100% Peterman for a range of reasons.
Oh well, embrace the tank!
I don't think Allen is close to being ready to go and he shouldn't go...
But your stance on Anderson is interesting. I think he could be suffering from concussion like symptoms, but with everyone injured, you don't really know what the deal is. It's an opportunity for them to play games with the roster if they want to..including delaying Allen's return beyond when he might be able to return. -

Gee, looks like this whole season is a formality.
Can any team go toe-to-toe with Alabama.
Aside from the Extra Point Attempts tonight, they look unstoppable.
I don't know. Maybe Clemson?
LSU is outclassed all over the field.

Oklahoma @ Texas Tech is a much more entertaining game. TT up 31-28 at the half
Been watching that one too, and Oregon as well.
I love Herbert.

Augie, you were 41 minutes ahead of me with this thought.
I swear to God LSU is not going to get a point.

Do they make their plan and stick with it no matter what? Those guys were gone pre FA. Sometimes one had to change plans when situations change. If not, you and your plan will go down with the ship. Like we are watching this year.
Odds are probably 90%+ something unexpected happens this off season too.
Sorry, but it's a lame excuse IMHO.
And Incognito wasn't "lost unexpectedly".
They were dicking him around for a while and seemingly preparing to move on from him long before they actually did, despite having no plan in place for replacing him.- 1

A key to the game will be how long Peterman can go without throwing a pick.
If he can get some playing time under his belt without a TO, he might build some confidence and have an OK game.
If he throws a pick early, it could snowball into an ugly situation IMO.

They did a nice job of conserving the clock and getting the ball right back to Alabama.
-
Hey! They caught the spiking in the end zone. Good.
-
Oh dear God. Lucky that wasn't a safety.
And now they'll be punting from the end line in the end zone!
-
That INT is like a long punt and now LSU is going to be way backed up.
Maybe they can put together a 97 yard drive.

I agree, but it’s as confusing as “what’s a catch”? Used to be.....
Oh yes, it's as clear as mud!
At least the director is doing a good job of finding the attractive women in the crowd.
"LSU survives the first quarter." Hopefully they can make it a game.
