  1. Watch most games with volume turned way down so announcers are basically mute.   Try to keep enough juice to hear whistle or crowd noise to get a sense of what is happening while watching.

Announcers bring nothing to the game for me but annoyance.   I’d love to blame that on getting older but I’ve been a hater since my 20’s.   Just feel most have no clue about players outside what the national media promote incessantly.

Here is to hoping the Bills and Josh give the announcers something to annoy the opposing fans!

  2. Someone send this to Gabe Davis and tell him to get his Sugar Honey Ice Tea together!

Not sure how this guy can point out all game how Davis isn’t running tight routes or clean routes and then put the last OT throw on Josh!   Looked to me if Davis runs up the field straight he takes both guys with him and possibly run past them to where Josh put the ball.

Anyway I thought Josh was amazing but I realize after watching this that that is a massive understatement!!

Friggin team blowing performances like this….damn.

Dude thanks for posting.  Never heard of this before and enjoyed it.  Not sure I have 45 minutes to watch break down of other teams and guys but this was great!

It’s definitely bizarre and unusual that the same scenario has essentially played out 3x already this year.  Including the point differential (3).  And that we’ve lost all 3.

A couple of “opposite” scenarios that come to mind was last year against Ravens and I think Miami game #2 ended this way as well.

we had the ball towards end of game in both of those games (definitely in the ravens game) but down by LESS THAN 3 POINTS, so therefore, once we got into chip shot FG range, we were able to bleed the clock and ensure our opponent never touches the ball again.

That is a 100x better situation to be in and that situation COULD have happened yesterday as well, but due to a couple missed FGs and a defensive blunder to give up that 3rd and 15 TD, we ended up being down by 4, needing a touchdown, and in that situation you can’t really bleed the clock because you have to take the opportunities to score when you have them.

I just looked up those two games and by the scoring summary the Bills were dominating at the end of the games.

Miami less so but they didn’t score after 12 minutes left in the 4th.

    Baltimore didn’t score after half.

So yes time ran out and we scored but not a nail biter per se.

Good memory though.   I wouldn’t have gotten those under threat of life!

I respect that perspective, but at a certain point, for me, it’s taking these teams all the way down to the wire, sometimes with impressive QB play all the way through, sometimes with just enough offense to take a lead with 1 more stop needed on defense, but we seem to ALWAYS end up on the losing end of these types of games, and that’s precisely why I am unable to appreciate it for the great game that it was; it’s because this same sh*t is happening over, and over, and over and we keep seeing the SAME ending.

You bring up the point I have been thinking about….why is it that the Bills don’t seem to ever have the ball last in the close games?   Why can’t I remember a Bills nail biter where they won with time expiring?

Is it my age and horrible memory or does it just not happen all that much?   And if it doesn’t happen that often why the heck NOT?   Is that coaching and clock management?

These losses have all stuck with me longer than normal I think it’s the expectation that they were going to be good.

  5. As unlikely as it is they make the playoffs it would make for one hell of a story getting the offense hot at the right time and shocking the Effing world by winning it all!

But I’m not planning any trips to Vegas within the next 4 months.

  6. It’s interesting.    I’m 47 so like many on here been there done that and try so hard to minimize the hope but seeing Josh do his thing and the D actually make stops they got me.   They drew me in!   Actually holding them to a 59 yard FG in my mind was a win.   Sure they hit it but I thought “hey the s-birds are desperate and got lucky!”
Then comes the decision to kick a FG after the miscue throw.    Done!

My son, 13 like so many that haven’t lived long enough to REALLY know about life believed the whole game.   Poor bastard!    But what do you do?!?   Tell him don’t fall in love?   Sure.   Sure.   Even at 47 despite ALL the years and ALL the games ….they got me.   Those fickle soulless mistresses - all of them!

    I think I’m still talking about football…

  7. Lot of disappointment to go around.    The Polly Anna’s who will say how hard the team played and the fact they went toe to toe with the best team blah blah blah….

Go pound sand.    They dug this hole and have flushed a season down the drain.
