  1. The following 8 players wouldn't be on a team with a smart GM like Bill Belichick.

That's right this season we've wasted $27,901,666 in payroll on guys Belichick would be paying $600,000 each or $4,800,000 tops. You can't make these kind of mistakes if you want to be a winner. This isn't even accounting for the $6,000,000 charge for Fitzpatrick this year, but $4,600,000 on back up QBs, one who has a career 1-11 record as a starter is asinine.

All are near the ends of their careers, 3 are on IR, and 1 guy doesn't even dress on game day.

    Pulled from http://sports.yahoo....eams/buf/roster

    1. Kelsay, Chris DE 6'-4'' 263 33 10 Nebraska $4,750,000

    2. Barnett, Nick RLB 6'-2'' 228 31 10 Oregon State $4,000,000

    3. McGee, Terrence CB 5'-9'' 205 32 10 Northwestern State $3,780,000

    4. Jackson, Fred RB 6'-1'' 216 31 6 Coe $3,680,000

    5. Wilson, George SS 6'-0'' 214 31 7 Arkansas $3,541,666

    6. Johnson, Spencer LDT 6'-3'' 304 31 9 Auburn $3,500,000

    7. Thigpen, Tyler QB 6'-1'' 218 28 6 Coastal Carolina $2,500,000

    8. Jackson, Tarvaris QB 6'-2'' 225 29 7 Alabama State $2,150,000

  2. "Killer instinct" is playing to win. Going for it on 4th & 7, or kicking a field goal up 5 with a chance to extend the lead to 8.

"Killer instinct" is blitzing instead of playing a conservative prevent defense when the game is on the line.

"Killer instinct" is trading up in the draft to get a franchise QB.

"Killer instinct" is playing with reckless abandon, if you have a chance to tattoo someone you take him out. Think NY Jets Landry Jones, New England's Brandon Spikes, Baltimore's Ray Lewis & Ed Reed.

"Killer instinct" is running the ball on 3rd & 6 knowing full well that you are going for it on 4th down.

"Killer instinct" is throwing the long ball any down, all game long. Think Aaron Rodgers, a guy whose eyes are ALWAYS looking down the field, and only looks short to check down if the long reads are covered.

"Killer instinct" is catching interceptions that hit you in the hand.

"Killer instinct" is shouting & yelling at your coach on the sideline. Think Tom Brady, Peyton Manning, Ray Lewis. The real leaders get in peoples faces on the sidelines.

  3. One could make the argument that Gailey's conservative play calling is preventing us form winning. Look at our first 3 quarters and our last quarter. Heck Gailey trusts so little in Spiller that he gives him the ball one-time in the 4th quarter.

At this conjuncture I'd be happy firing Gailey and hiring a new coach and allowing him to draft the best QB available & letting them compete for the job.

Do I believe Fitz is the long-term answer? No. Do I believe Gailey is more culpable than Fitz? Yes.

  4. Sullivan might be a non-partisan from New England, but he usually is correct in his criticism. I argued with him that Spiller was a home-run threat when we drafted him - give him daylight & he can take it to the house every time. The problem I have with Chan Gailey is his indecisiveness in win or loss moments. Gailey is losing the confidence of the veterans in the locker room. Lindell's hand clap and scream to the football gods was evident to his lack of respect for Gailey's decision making ability. Steve Johnson has already called into question Gailey's play calling decisions. CJ Spiller side-stepped the question of his under utilization like he does to most one-on-one defenders.

At this point I'm open to any and all coaching ideas. A young guy I like who won coach of the year is Raheem Morris. Say what you want about his .354 winning percentage the guy did get a great year out of an average team. Chan Gailey has yet to show he can go .500 with an average team. Heck bring back Perry Fewell - at least he takes chances.
