Sure.
holding can be called on every NFL play. Is that the type Of football you want to watch?
Wow really that is for response to a photo like that?? That is as blatant as it gets, at least judging by that photo.

I’ve been insanely unimpressed with Crowder.
I thought he looked good the first week and he doesn't make me hold my breath each time he fields a punt like some guys.

I really liked what I saw from him today. Excellent in space.Looked legit in the preseason as well, I know doesn't mean anything.

I won't rag on 49 for today. Although if I were him getting bulldogged or thrown out oplays would make me ....humble.?
I also would like to ponder that wasn't he an OLB/DE in college?.....and then they sent him from the edge today and he killed it.
I have never understood the reasoning behind forcing him to MLB. Put Bernard in the middle....send 49 from the outside like Reddick. Ya'll heard it here first.
Only problem Bob you weren't the first to say it on this board, he has prototypical size and speed for it. He does look a lot better this season and I think thats great, he's not moving outside obviously not on this team at this point anyway.

Everyone need to understand Cook was a home run swing because the bench is loaded.
he might be a miss. And they still have a great roster
He may be a grand slam as well, very early to tell.

He has to shake it off and lock in. He could be a big weapon for us down the stretch, but he has to pull himself out of this funk.
Ever see the guy speak he is quite low key anyway, looks like he's half asleep to me and subdued.

Fans will wonder why the D is not as good next year and a big reason will be him. Whether they want to admit it or not.
Hopefully Bernard steps in and they don't miss a beat. I think he was vastly operated in the past but he's playing very well this year! Strength and conditioning coaches get er done!!

The D line can survive without Oliver. Get him 100% for the stretch run.
Oliver and Phillips are the interior penetrators, totally sucks but yeah he has to be healthy for sure.

We're about to set a record for most players poached. Lewis, Spector, Kumerow, Blackshear, Bernard, Benford are gone if they get cut. Most likely to NJ. But there are too many eyes on us this year for them not to be noticed.
I think you're right about the amount of poached players, but no way Benford gets cut imo too talented. Also no way a 3rd rounder Bernard gets cut that a typo?

But yeah, I guess a QB on his 8th team in 10 years is reasonable for most people on this board.
Keenum is the better backup QB imo as evidenced by his actual starting experience/success when the games count. He is playing catchup though as Barkley knows the offense like the back of his hand and Barkley to the practice squad.

Give me your list predictions. Let’s see what the consensus is.
Diggs
Davis
McKenzie
Crowder
Austin
Shakir
Hodgins/Kumerow the 7th WR battle imo.
Ill go with Crowder getting hacked Shakir being the backup slot and both Kumerow and Hodgin's making it.

Blackshear looked good as well, but we are loaded or so it seems at running back. Here is to hoping he continues playing well and clears waivers for the practice squad I'm assuming.

Keenan is #3 QB at best.
thank God for Barkley
Not so sure about that, he is still learning a new offense. I think he ends up the backup and Matt is on the practice squad, the way the team structures this roster is going to be very interesting though.

Cook looks like he has the opportunity to strongly contribute
Shakir will make the roster and might be the steal of the draft
Benford is supposedly outplaying a first round pick and if Shakir wasn’t the steal of the draft maybe he is
Araiza may live up to his nickname
Spector may be playing himself on to the roster
Ok its only preseason but man if Elam comes around as expected the draft may look to be huge a couple of years down the road.
Sure looks like its going to be gold (very early however). It would be a unique one I'd say, usually a team that is the the Vegas favorite I'd assume is hard for rookies to make, but it seems as if Beane nailed this draft!!!

You knew Wydermeyer was toast when he didn’t get in at all and they put OJ Howard in at the end. I wonder if Wydermeyer refused to go in near the end of the game. A stretch but he has been known to have character concernsWas thinking I seen him playing g at o e point anyways when they were I side the ten, #84 I believe however could be wrong.

Been watching this game a long time. Injury is the only thing that's going to stop this combination. Too much talent, too much experience.
Or perhaps father time, I sure hope so.

Marshawn seems very polarizing among Bills fans. I’m not really a fan of his play or behavior. I was a Fred Jackson guy from the very beginning and never understood why he kept getting shafted over higher picked/lesser talented backs. Although Lynch greatly elevated his play in Seattle, he isn’t the guy we had in Buffalo. His team mates loved him though.
I totally concur, first Fred had to wait for A train then Marshawn. Jackson appeared to be the better back over both those guys IMO, but had to wait what seemed like forever to be given his chance.

His footwork needs a lot of work. There’s a reason the more athletic version of Josh Allen went in the 3rd round.
Isn't he like 6'1, is the comparison somehow Liberty vs Wyoming or because he is raw as well and has a strong arm?

Personally I find him the most irritating and childish talking head on any of the networks. I get that he says nice things about the Bills and yet I still can't bring myself to like anything about him.
I'm guessing most don't share your opinion, never heard anyone refer to him as that.
2 hours ago, GunnerBill said:Saying nice stuff about the Bills doesn't counter balance the purile behaviour. I find him genuinely insufferable.
Simple solution, don't watch him.

I'm just not a huge Emmit fan. I watched him play and never thought he was nearly as talented as Gale Sayers, OJ, Walter Payton, Barry Sanders or some of the other elite backs of my lifetime.
Yes, he was good. He also benefited from a good supporting cast. That, and his longevity, made him the top rusher of all time.
There were quite a few running backs that I believed were better than Emmit, but where he trumped everybody is was durability and toughness. He racked up alot of carries in college before he even got in the nfl, wish I could have seen Thurman just 1 year behind an OL the caliber of Dallas' though.

He wasn't that good of a baseball player either
Can't believe the Bo Jackson mention is getting so much push back when there are knuckle heads in here suggesting that Tom Brady and Emmitt Smith are over rated.
Bo Jackson is one of the best running backs I have ever seen play, looking at some of his stats (amazing ypc) don't suggest that but for his very short and limited career he was a stud!

Walter Payton. Granted, the Bears were boring af until 1985, so I didn’t pay them much mind.
Rico your fishing aren't you? Walter Payton was amazing and literally carried very bad Chicago Bears teams. I do agree Ruben Brown was overated and made alot of pro bowls he shouldn't have 🙂

A Buffalo Bill?
Phil Hanson. Maybe he was very good at tying up blockers but Bruce Smith needed more from that position, the NT position and biscuit’s position the whole peak of his career. Bruce was basically alone as an impact player till Bryce Paup got here. Hanson as a blocker tyer upper probably wasn’t as good as Fred Smerlas. Blocker tyer uppers have to be really something, imho, to make the wall…. Ted Washington? Yes. Phil Hanson? No….. he ruins the integrity of the whole wall, imho….
Billy the fat, stouter guys on the defensive line are generally a defensive tackle or nose tackle as in the case of both Ted and Fred. Sometimes the long skinnier guys are a defensive end as in the case of Hansen.

Who will be the guy we all obsess over being an absolute 100% pro bowler in the rough* this year???
(*only to see him gone at first cut down)
Jalen Wydemeyer, I would guess. I get the Lindy's draft issue every year and the magazine can be way off with rankings of certain positions, but this tight end in this magazine is rated the second best tight end. I don't recall ever seeing a ufda having been this highly ranked by this magazine, not sure if it's a screwups but this magazine says round 1 or two, thoughts????
Ok I reedited this guess he ran a 5.03 at the combine, guessing it's all about that, this magazine has a 4.67 40 not sure how they come up with that since they are obviously in print beforehand.

I don't understand why we had to jump in front of Dallas for him. I don't like losing a 4th in this deep draft.
I'll trust the quality and value, just don't like trading up
I could see them packaging picks we have left to much be backup if the really like someone in the 4th or earlier if they like someone, ot.sure points wise they might have to throw in a pick from next year. How many rookies actually make this roster, this is a stacked roster?

He's coming from Tennessee that was one of the more run heavy teams out there. If he gets significant playing time he will be pass blocking more than he ever has.
I'm not doing flips over this signing but at the same time I'm not saying it's going to be a big problem, though I will admit I don't expect much out of him.
Just got to keep the perspective that he has started alot of NFL football and is a great run blocker who was brought here to be a backup. Doyle came in near the goaline and a bit when they went to 6 offensive linemen I believe, hoping this guy really helps in those roles. Roger Saffold, this guy, and Spencer Brown are all good run blockers hopefully when we are up on teams and want to.run clock or down around the goal line we just got alot more physical upfront.

Can someone PLEASE explain the holding rules to me like I'm 8?
in The Stadium Wall
Posted
The picture can be misleading for sure, but edge rushers being held that obviously is usually called. The interior linemen tend to get away with it more often because obviously their are more obstructions. While I agree holding happens every downtown to a degree, not on an edge rushers moments away from creating chaos for the quaterback.
