  1. Fictitious stories about suicide are rarely, if ever funny.

The good news for you is I decided against punting you for a week.  Maintaining order in this zoo is hard enough without people efforting to be a smacktard.

Punting me for a week? With all the crap that everyone else does? Oh yeah, you're a liberal...

  2. Last year, Bills-Jets game at the Meadowlands. A stupid Jets fan behind me flicked my ear. I let it go. He did it again. I let it go. He did it a third time. I stood up, grabbed him by the shirt, threw him into his seat and said if he did it one more time, he would be a bloody stain.

    He bought me a beer.

  3. I tried... I really did, to ignore BF in this post... but i had to step in. First of all, making fun of Darin (and you know how me and Darin get along :D) for living in Alaska is the most ig.norant thing I have heard on this board to date (and that includes anything I have said).  Then, you list all the states you have "been to". Brandon, we there is a distinct difference between "driven through" and "been to". By your account I have been to NY, PA, West VA, VA, NC, SC, GA and FLA. However there BF, at the most, I stopped to take a piss in three of those states, and slept in a motel off of I-95 in GA. I would never say I have "been" to SC. If taking a piss in a port-a-crapper on the side of the road constitutes being well traveled, well, then call me Jacques f-cking Cousteau.

    :flirt:

  4. Saw the Trans-Siberian Orchestra tonight for the first time. We went out of curiosity to see a holiday show (and also due to some recommendations from this board: LewPort71, Fezmid & Campy; to name a few).

I counted 8 singers, 7 musicians, and 8 people added to the group from the local symphony. Some traditional Christmas songs (a lot of those were the type where you recognize some of the lyrics but can't remember the title) as well as originals and everything from blues to Beethoven to Led Zep to Latin chants.

Outstanding show - and it is a performance. The laser and light show as well as the pyrotechnics were impressive. The real snow fall was cool. They used mini snow machines and due to the low humidity in the Coliseum, most of it evaporated before it landed.

It's all well-choreographed but you are not sacrificing style for substance. They compliment each other. I'll being seeing them again someday.

I saw them two years ago. I agree, very cool show.

  5. Kudos to whomever mentioned Nick Drake.  A big favorite of mine.  John Fahey is also amazing; anyone impressed with Drake's playing would be blown away by Fahey.  I believe Jimmy Page even admits to ripping Fahey off.

That was me. Drake is absolutely amazing. Too bad he had to go so early... :D

  6. Jar of Flies is one of my favorite albums.  My copy was scatched to death and I hadnt listened to it for about a year.  My buddy burned me a copy last weekend- I am glad to have that baby back in rotation.  I need to pick up some Jeff Buckley.  I am not that familiar with him but have heard him recomended many times and I like that type of music

Buckley is good, but Nick Drake is much much better, IMHO.

  7. I just love the responses that I got this thread, a few acting reasonable, a few still in denial about what is going on in the NFL, a few making lame jokes, and finally a few who still have not gotten the idea that I cannot read their posts when they are on ignore, get it yet ed and durwood?????

Wait a minute jackass. How did you know what I posted if you have me on ignore. No one quoted me. Stupid Patsie fan...:):P

  8. Hypocrites

Just note for the record who, once again, has run to court demanding that ballots NOT be examined...at least ballots from traditionally Democratic strongholds.

And by the way the recount was triggered by state law when the margin was only 260 votes - law calls for a recount if the difference is less than 2000.

Get over it. You LOST. I'm still waiting for my damn sandwich, woman!

  9. Newman....I can relate.

I am a supervisor in a Student Affairs Office where I am responsible for "Student Assistants"

Now....once upon a time I had three girls working for me....ALL of them were knockouts....but I have NEVER tried to be anything more then a supervisor to any of them......then came one fateful day when I had a stressfull situation in the office I thought that one of the girls handled very well...I made the mistake of putting my hand on her shoulder and telling her that she did a good job....

The next day I had a complaint over my head of sexual herassment....want to make it even worse?  When I apologized for any misunderstanding she thought it was her cue to start showing up for work late, not doing her job, and showing me a ton of attitude.

I wanted to fire her but couldnt becuase my supervisor was afraid of a lawsuit.  She end up quitting on us right at the most busy time of the year with no notice.  I told her that it probably wouldn't be a very good idea to call for a reference.

I hire all the intelligent guy students I can now.....much to the dismay to the rest of the men who work in the department.  Any females that get hired I do a TOTAL BACKGROUND check of anyone listed.  Had I done a more through check of this particular worker I would have found out about SEVERAL sexual harassment complaints by her on various individuals that were not proven to be correct.

Guys are just easier....even though some of my best workers have been females.  I dont like walking on eggshells at work

At one of my old jobs, something similar to yours happened. A girl went to the Union Rep. to complain, The rep actually told her (I heard this second hand, from a manager), "girl, are you kidding? No one in their right mind would ever sexually harrass someone as ugly as you.":)

  10. A 13-year old Virginia Beach boy is being held at the Virginia Beach Detention Center after police say he abducted an exotic dancer last Tuesday night.

The woman noticed the client was a juvenile, but was told that the contract was for his older brother. Police say the woman waited for a while, but no one else showed up.

Authorities say when the woman eventually tried to leave the residence, she was stopped by the juvenile who pointed a shotgun at her and ordered her to dance.

exotic dancer and 13 year old boy...
