  1. I wanted him to succeed, but he made too many poor decisions with games on the line. Athletes can either rise to the occasion or they do not have it in them. It is something that cannot be learned. I hope the Bills go with Tavaris Jackson this year so they can build up the rest of the team through the draft and get a guy like Manziel (next year). Johnny Football seems to have the star qualities the Bills haven't had a QB in quite some time.

  2. The Bills have two stars on offense: CJ and Stevie, and two stars on defense: Mario and Byrd. Most of the starters on this team (i.e., K. Sheppard, A. Williams) would not be back-ups on most NFL teams. Most of the back-ups on this team (i.e., A. Moats, R. Martin) would not be on an NFL roster. This team is a big mess. It is, however, in some ways comparable to the mess Marrone inherited when he took over at Syracuse. There is a sliver of hope for the team next year.

  3. I think it is a great hire. SU didn't exactly have the greatest receivers the last few years. Lemon drops anyone? Mike Williams was amazing, but he left the school a few years ago and is playing for the Bucs. Point is, Hackett did a supreme job with limited talent at WR. The Bills also have limited talent at WR. Also, I feel that Hackett will be able to utilize CJ and the other RB's to their fullest potential. We got a winner here.

  4. Tis' true.

"You Bills fans might not like this hire...but, Bill Belichick and Tom Brady do--because, you will still finish 4th in the division!"

    Sadly, he maybe right...

You could bring Vince Lombardi back from the dead to coach for the Bills and it wouldn't matter. As long as Bad Billy is "coaching" a team in the division, the other teams are playing for a wild card shot at best.

  5. Let's imagine Doug Marrone landed with the Eagles in Philly and he was able to lead that desperate team to its first Super Bowl victory. Bills fans would be crestfallen that the FO had not signed a man who had resurrected a team in its own backyard. If we had signed one of the current re-treads who had been fired from another team and ended up 7-9 for the next three years playing either Tampa 2 defense or mistake-prone offense we would be prolix to the same malaise we have currently experienced since year 2000. Our FO made a bold move in signing Marrone. There is nothing to lose and everything to gain. We should all be excited and support our new Commander in Chief. Go Bills! Let's go Buffalo!!!!

  6. I remember watching it on TV in my parents' room with my brother. We were youngins at the time. My dad was a former college football player, and he didn't like watching the NFL. We had to watch the game upstairs in my parents' bedroom. The first half was so bad that we started horsing around, WWF wrestling. All of a sudden, the Bills started to come back in the second half, so we started paying attention to the game. I have never experienced any greater joy from watching a Bills football game. I wish I could go back to those days.
