  1. How does placing Peterson on the exempt list create a precedent for other cases?

    They're completely separate.

How do you not understand what I'm saying? You're either purposely turning a blind eye to what's right in front of you or you're just trying to start something here. I said, I'm not condoning what Peterson did. Reread what I said please.

    Namely:

"Someone can easily doctor up a photo and present it as evidence to take a player out for weeks while the legal process takes its time because of the social media factor."

The NFL is in deep Shite right now and the beating of a 4 year old kid is beyond human scum in my book. If that was Spiller, I would have no problem if he was cut from the team immediately. The NFL has turned a blind eye waaaay too long so thank goodness the one thing that could turn this around is taking place....sponsors.

No one here is defending Peterson for this.

If CJ Spiller was GUILTY of the same, kick him out of the NFL for good and put him in the slammer for a long time.

  2. This was the right move. Peterson already admitted that it was him, and the evidence is clear as day. The Vikings screwed it up the first time but they made it right today.

This was not my point. My point is, this is a slippery slope. Someone can easily doctor up a photo and present it as evidence to take a player out for weeks while the legal process takes its time because of the social media factor. I'm not saying that this is happening here, but it could lead to vindicitive people who want to hurt the player any way they can. Why not hurt them where it hurts the most? Their job, their lively hood, since its just soo easy to get people to feel symptathy and so easy for those people to pursuade the powers that be to suspend players for it?

  3. There is no consistency in the NFL's policy towards breaking the law. Its maddening. What happens if one of these cases get a verdict of not guilty. What would stop one of the players from turning around and suing the NFL for this?

I don't condone child abuse or the abuse of women by men, but this is a slippery slope. If there is a vindicitive GF or vindictive wife that wants to get back at a certain player, they can scream domestic violence. With this precedent set forth, they will be suspended until the legal matter is tried and a judgement made. This sounds more like guilty until proven innocent.

I don't like the way things are going.

  4. Much respect for Sammy.

Like I said in August. He will not be 100% until maybe OTAs.

He is playing through a lot of pain. It has got to light up the locker room though. When you see a guy going through what he is going through and laying it on the line on gameday. It makes you look in the mirror and get over your little bumps and bruises that much faster. It has got to make the team want to go out there and make Sammy's sacraifice worth it with a win.

Again, he is just earning a lot of respect with me, I knew he could ball watching him in college but didn't know he had this kind of heart.

Can't spell Sammy Watkins with using M A N. Sammy is a MAN! What a beast!

  5. A couple-three times in the past two weeks, the Bills had a nice flair toss (not exactly a screen) to Fred. And Fred had a lot of space, with one man the beat---and got tackled by that man. Not bashing Fredex here in any way. Guy is a warrior with no quit. And, as has been pointed out, he tends to get the 2-3 extra yards on runs up the middle. but that flair pass seems perfectly suited to Spiller, IMO. With one guy to beat, in the open field, i like CJs chances. Hopefully we'll see that go for some big yardage soon.

Ive actually yelled at the tv several times when I see these types of passes to Fred. Why are they not giving these types of passes to CJ? That's tailor made for his skill set.

  6. Wunderkins is an amazing athlete! I'm so glad he is on our team.

I'm going to be a bit nitpicky here, but on that first catch, when he's one on one with the defender, he's GOTTA make him miss. Thats 6 pts right there if he does. He's that kind of athlete that should be able to do that. That said, it was his first catch and he likely had some jitters! Great game either way, he's going to be a great one!

    Lets go Bills!!!

  7. Defenseless receiver. Twice in 1 game. Go see the Mike WIlliams throw early in the game.

No problem. Keep the blinders on. WOODS, WILLIAMS, WATKINS, FRED, SPILLER are going to make EJ LOOK GOOD!

And im on for the ride! PlayOff14 BABY!

No, I'm saying you insinuated that a player going up high to catch a ball has more of a chance to be concussed? That doesnt make sense. Defensless reciever, ok.

  8. Like Tom Petty sings: U believe what you want to believe!

Game 1 of season and Woods almost got a huge concussion trying to pull down a really high pass. Guess what Gug, if that pass was a foot lower, he still catches it! However if it was an inch higher, he never completes it.

Go see the replay. Woods catches that pass less than 50% of the time. Just wait when the cold weather comes around.

Had he been concussed, everyone is pissed at EJ. But since nothing happened, most consider it a perfect pass!

    :wallbash:

I dont get this. You think a guy going high to catch a ball has more of a chance to get concussed? I would think a lower throw would be more likely to concuss a player, one that was leading the reciever into a defender or something of that sort. It's hard to hit a guy in the helmet when his head is in the clouds while elevating to catch a pass.
