Trade out. 163 for 168 and 219.
Awesome
You know I don't disagree with trading down but if you're punting on 2024, do it right and cut Miller too
If you clearly think this draft sucks, trade it all away for next year and tank.

151. Edefuan Ulofoshio, LB, Washington (6-0, 236)
Ulofoshio might have a capped ceiling in the NFL, but he has overachieved at every other level because of his football instincts and active play style. He has the “all-in” mentality of a core special teamer who can make a living covering kicks while competing for defensive snaps.
Oooh love me some core special teamers that can puke all over their shoes at the meadowlands
Is there any team that values ST more than Buffalo

Who cares? None of them have Josh who will elevate anyone we put out there. And as Mahomes just proved, that's all that really matters. Texans are interesting tho. Not worried about anyone else.
Bravado.
Wish I had the ability for blind faith.

Ahead of the Chiefs who just won a SB with no WRs, and behind the Jets and Dolphins who did absolute dick. So...
Generous. What about the rest of the AFC?

That's counting on Kincaid and Shakir to mainly up there game/results.
You're understanding the potential issue there, yes

We won 6 in a row with Diggs doing nothing and Davis having multiple games of 0-0 0yds. But now we're in a down year because we didnt draft a second WR in the 5th round.
Where do you rank the Bills in the AFC for offensive skill positions?

Just a small sample-size of production. He looked promising, but can he continue now that teams know they have to give him some attention?
Exactly.
He's about to find out, as are bills fans

Take a look at his highlights. You'll feel different about him.
Sorry, I don't trust any of these guys until they show performance.

He is a good starting slot receiver. These people expecting 1,000 yards or Stefon Diggs Mark II are on a wing of a hope and a prayer.
Yup
Lots of delusional fans here. This team is going to be Sean McDermott's wet dream: run first, blocking WR, tight ends, ball control.

Shakir should have a great season. Made huge strides last year. Not sure why he doesn't get more love here.
I do expect a trade or FA to fill out the WR room.
Hasn't proved anything.
We'll know exactly what he is by the end of next season.

Sure, if YOU say so.
Hope you enjoy the upcoming season of mediocrity

This is personally my favorite draft since getting the wrong Josh.
Always a fan of trading back
Coleman is exactly the type of WR Josh has needed. A guy who goes up and gets contested balls bc we all know Josh dgaf about throwing into coverage and giving his guys a chance to go make a play, now he has a perfect compliment for that.
What’s not to like about Bishop? I expect him to be a starting Safety 1/4 of the way thru the season. Has all the intangibles.Free third round pick from moving down and still getting the WR Josh needs instead of John Ross 2.0- starting caliber day 1 DT in Carter
4th- an absolute beast in Ray Davis, the perfect compliment to Jimbo.
5th round so far- Potential starting C, immediate depth at the spot if nothing else, and gains a 4th in next years deeper draft class.
No idea how you find room to complain about this draft between the quality of players, plus the way Beane worked the board and added picks to both this years class and next...
Quality is a subjective word.

Most likely coming in the 2025 offseason, unfortunately. I think @GunnerBill's assessment is right. They aren't punting on the 2024 season but they are anticipating a down year. The moves they're making now are to set up 2025.
The idea of a post-6/1 trade for a WR also really intrigues me. Aiyuk or even Deebo suddenly makes a ton of sense if we're only giving up 2025 capital for one of them and putting them on the roster after Tre White's cap savings kicks in.
If they're punting, they should have cut Miller, too.
But no, they're half-assing it

I just realized the pick we gave the Bears was their pick to begin with. They effectively traded us a 2025 4th rounder for Ryan Bates.
Fantastic work, Brendan

Via Houston

Hmmm. That says to me Beane doesn't like what is left on the board. Which begs the question why did he not get more aggressive to move up earlier?
Incompetence.

I really like that trade. Honestly a no brainer. Next year we will likely have three 4ths because of Gabe Davis' comp pick.
Exciting. That means we can draft all the safeties

As many as we carried last year and Dodson is gone, Matakevich is gone, and Klein is likely retired. So need to re-build that depth.
I dont expect them all to be all-pro all the way down. But the roster needed bodies there.
That's what UFA is for

Did we just trade a 5th this year for a 4th next year?
