They already did this…it’s called RUGBY.
That’s not bringing back defense, that’s eliminating passing offense. Defenders would just tackle all receivers before catching the ball for a 0% completion rate.
So yeah, you need to rethink the absurdity of the extreme this suggestion is or just watch Rugby.
I get wanting defense to matter more, a concept I agree with, but it’s impossible to play football without some form of PI enforcement unless you want to get rid of QBs and just make this a run game only sport mostly - just like Rugby.
Let's work this out then. How do you eliminate the modern concept of PI without fundamentally change the game? I'd say my minimum position would be to make it a 5 yarder, replay the down -

💯 agree that DPI has morphed into a frankensteinian bloated mess where the QB seems to be rewarded a 50/50 shot at a free flag just for chucking it long—an immediate bandaid fix would seem to be limiting the penalty to 10-15 yards instead of a spot foul?
I'm talking NO PI at all.
bring back defense

Get rid of pass interference as a concept.

I'd like to see some more run plays NOT from the shotgun, give Cook a chance to get moving before hitting the line

Isn't this the Buffalo Bills message board? Why are people so intent on taking pleasure in others' missteps and failures?
who doesn't enjoy seeing jerks get their just desserts?

About 600 yards and 3 TD for Coleman.
Bishop a backup
Davis a backup, 3rd and short guy
Van Pran could start, imo , the one pick I'm really excited to see

worst since his early years at least as far as passing statistics go
the cupboard is bare and McDermott wants to run and play complementary football

Greg IS good, just too long and don’t care for his sidekicks. I’m a fan of Buffalo Plus as well. Albeit, they’re a bit irreverent.. Not a big fan if the Rockpile. Assuredly, he knows his stuff, just too full of himself for my tastes.
Yeah sometimes when they veer off into personal stories it gets bleh

Please, fill me in. Who’s better and why?
Greg Tompsett for one. I particularly enjoy Buffalo Plus. The Rockpile Report, if you can get past the obnoxious opening.

That seems to be leaning on the dramatic side, no?
It seems more like 2019 without the ease of schedule that propelled us to 9 wins. At the same time it's a seasoned Allen, not a breakout Allen. The division should be more difficult despite the fact that it was Brady's last season in NE then. NE and the Jets will both be better and they both beat us once with NE having nearly beaten us twice.
The biggest issue seems to be that we're orchestrating the offense as if we have some game manager QB when we have Allen.
It makes little sense.
I think they could find themselves in an early hole, and don't have the leadership to climb out of it this time around.

Gonna be a long and pretty mediocre season imo. I do not believe they'll make the playoffs.
Haven't been less excited for a season since like 2016

Is worth saying at this point that defensive front 7 is around 30% of your starters, so those numbers should be seen in that context. But Brandon Beane is building his team the way he witnessed it done in Carolina. He tells us himself he will never apologise for prioritising the defensive front. And he is as good as his word in that regard.
I hate it.
Every GM we've EVER had priortizes it, but none of them are actually good at drafting it.

What other young and affordable WRs are obtainable at this point?
There are none, but that doesn't mean we should be pursuing that geriatric
