  1. Oh, okay. So he's conflating the two plays. I knew someone was.
  2. I believe he meant the TD pass that didn't actually turn into a TD because Sammy cele'd early. It was the same game. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KQwkvf8xdqE
  3. That part was in the article. Sammy was wrong.
  4. Don't you know that he's JTSP's boy? This was classic role reversal.
  5. Nope. Sorry I don't agree with Sammy's comments. Maybe one day he'll be like OBJ.
  6. I believe it's called a discussion. But okay.
  7. Nothing. If there's two things Rex knows, it's appropriate comments and offense!
  8. Do they all say "you're making me look bad, I'm just as good as (insert way more productive WR's here)!"
  9. Main difference - Andre Reed - "The most prolific pass receiver in Bills history. He earned a fifth trip to the Pro Bowl. It isn't enough. He is used to even more." Sammy Watkins - had a good rookie year
  10. I just thought it interesting that a reporter is retweeting shots at Sammy after Sammy took shots at another reporter. Okay.
  11. Tell that to the Browns. Or Texans. Or Jets.
  12. Folks taking shots at Sammy now. Scott Kacsmar ‏@FO_ScottKacsmar Bills picked worst draft to trade up for a WR (Sammy). Also erred in thinking he alone could fix EJ. Now a new coach & QB are there. Jason La Canfora Retweeted Amy Trask ‏@AmyTrask 2m2 minutes ago Amy Trask Retweeted Scott Kacsmar And irrespective of whether one liked Watkins, one could have had OBJ at that spot and kept the traded pick.
  13. I could see it either way. It's a very very small slight IMO.
  14. I don't think he was harsh at all on his teammates TBH. Saying that they're young QB's is pretty tame, and I think Tyrod and EJ would agree.
  15. "Wish you could have added the part we have so many playmakers and me not caring about numbers I care about winning.. Grow up.. Sir." Sounds like exactly what I said. Sammy knows.
  16. Obviously Sammy feels like he was mischaracterized, ask him. Also, "right" in this case, for me, is what causes less perceived strife in the locker room, as well as keeping positive about the team.
  17. Well then, if he had time to think about what to say, maybe he could've thought about the right things to say.
  18. I don't buy that Sammy was speaking flippantly here. There was some premeditation in these words.
  19. That's my whole point in a nutshell. Either use more discretion when choosing your words or keep it in house.
  20. to help us win games. Not to be compared to OBJ and Julio.
  21. I realize the situations aren't exactly the same. I just think, when you're a big-time athlete, how you come across and choosing your words carefully is very important. Especially with media-types. References to your agent, using words with negative connotations, providing sound bytes of "it's making me look bad," are all things that can and will be percieved negatively. That's a fact of life. I also don't care if Sammy catches another ball and OBJ wins every WR award ever if we win a SuperBowl. He made his argument too much about himself. Yeah, no. Everyone cares about the media.
  22. It's not when you know the media is looking for headlines. And when teammates are reading it. Watkins' comments are inherently more negative. I don't see how anyone can argue the contrary.
