No idea how you drew that conclusion, but no, that's ostensibly not at all what I said
I think the joke was the Bills taking a weak prospect.
-
No more nervous than with any of the other 15 or so different schemes that they've tried and failed with vs Pats
They need to worry about scoring more points instead
This. The only way to beat Brady is to get a lead and keep the ball out of his hands. Long drives that end in points, with a strong D that makes key stops. Brady is still gonna get his 270 and 2 TD's no matter what.
But bottom line is that it's too much to expect the Bills to be responsible for 2 of the 2-3 losses they have all year. We just have to go 10-4 against the rest of the the schedule to get to the dance. Period.

Manny Lawson watch.

Yeah, as you know, I'm a long-time close follower of college football and the draft and honestly the difference between picking 10th and 15th isn't anything special........on the whole I doubt the bust rate or impact is one bit different.
Most overrated avenue for acquiring talent is round 1.
More than half of the franchise QBs currently in the NFL were taken in the first. Compared to 6 other rounds and UDFA. So no.
-
Thats what happens when you have a QB who throws the ball to wrs and doesnt put the ball in places that allow for YAC
He was his QB in 2015 too and his numbers were better. Still bad, but not as bad. This dude is done.

Why are we talking about 2 years ago?
Because Clay was on the Bills 2 years ago. And he sucked.
-
people just need to ask and answer this question.
Did the passing game pick up with our number 1 on the field healthy or did it not the last 2 years? All bias aside.
30th to 28th....
-
did he or did he not have a jones fracture in 2016 that limited him for most of the year......forcing him to have to take plays off during games?
We're talking 2015.
-
lack of having him for most of the year?
And was he actually even healthy with that jones fracture?
He played 13 games John.
-
Similar year that he has with dolphins in 14
Also once Sammy got back it opened up a lot of the field which is when clay started to perform. U don't like clay so fine but don't act his numbers didn't improve once Sammy was back
Jax was his first game back then clay sat out Oakland
Great. Why were his numbers crappy when Sammy was healthy last year?
-
did i say something that wasnt true?
How about when you claim "we need WR's who don't drop balls that hit them in the numbers?"
-
the real question is why do you feel the need to make stuff up?
"hitting in the asscheeks" and "not in the same area code" is simply not true.....he on occasion throws high and on occasion throws late which are not the same thing. If your gonna disparage the guy at least ACCURATELY do it.
Jeez dude.

You can consider them annoying if you want....the fact is when poster's are attacked/made fun of when they support a member of the team? It means you dont like that player.
There's a bit of bludgeoning of opinions on both sides. Just like RLB can't resist trashing TT, you also can't resist defending him.
It gets old. And eventually you'll get teased about it.
-
You are one of the name haters.....why are you reversing yourself now?
You know when a player is hated? When you start bitching about the poster's that support the player.
Nah. The EJ guys were annoying as heck when he sucked too.
-
The last 3 games (with Tyrod not counting EJ game)
This was with Sammy back and after clay had his child
18 recs 210 yds and 4 tds
Avg 6 rec 70 td and 1+ TD
Still had bad numbers all year. 9.7 YPC is horrendous.
-
How did he look in Tennessee? Here's a hint. They dumped him.
Players often have bad years with crappy teams though.
Still Levitre was absolutely not worth it.. Most overrated Bill in the last 6 years.
-
The issues are mutually exclusive--even if you found another backup, it still doesn't make sense to cut a guy for zero cap savings
Well there are only 53 roster spots, so maybe it does.
-
Bills pass less often than any of the other 31 teams in the NFL. When they do, Tyrod Taylor prefers to use check-downs, sideline passes and deep shots -- as opposed to the places where a TE usually runs his routes (down the seam or over the middle). In my estimation, that makes Charles Clay the #3 option (at best) behind Sammy Watkins and Lesean McCoy. On a team that doesn't pass much, the #3 option isn't going to make big stats.
To some, Clay is probably the worst contract the Bills have given out. But in reality, his average salary ($7.6 million) isn't really much worse than where most of the guys at his level should be getting paid. Yes, he is getting paid like a Top #5 TE. But if you go down to the #15 TE by average salary, you find Vance McDonald at ($6.5 million). At #20, you find Antonio Gates ($5.5 million). If the guy is overpaid by #1-2 million per year, I think I can live with that.

Clay has gotten worse every year. He is dangerously close to being useless.

Actually Rico, the argument for keeping EJ was quite simple: he cost the same amount against the cap whether they kept him or not, so it makes just as much sense to use his cap hit to fill a roster space than to cut him and have to spend more money to fill that roster spot
Except EJ played like crap in his 3 games as back up and lost all 3 games.
Spending a little more on a competent backup may get us to the playoffs in 2015.

I vote for Kentucky's Stanley Williams. For multiple reasons:
He's a Stanley - I need to fill my quota of proper English-sounding blokes since Nigel left.
He's a running back - we need a few more of those.
His nickname is Boom - that just reeks of awesome.
Just like awesome star RB Boom Herron.
-
TT just ain't good. I don't hate him. I only hate Bills who are !@#$s or lose games all the time.

Unfortunately a progressive agenda depends on people who are at least somewhat informed and who reject fear as a motivating factor in their political choices. Although 3m fewer people chose fear and ignorance, based on the system designed in the 1700's their votes didn't matter. Except of course to Orange Julius, who cannot tolerate losing anything, especially the popular vote. Too bad. He's very good at losing.
Why Trump won: the post.

This! Again we are in the position this team is loaded with 3s and 4s. Sammy is not guaranteed to stay healthy with his foot injury which has proven to hurt players for years.
So Sammy gets hurt we are stuck with a bunch of 3s or a rookie #2 from rd 2? No thanks.
I wouldn't mind a 1b WR taken at 10.
But I prefer trade down and take Reddick
Draft is loaded with CBs, some which would have been taken end of rd 1 will be available mid to late rd 2.
LBer is thin in the draft. I say Reddick, Then CB Then WR.
lol what.
