  1. Like Ben Rothlesberger?

Goodell does what Goodell wants. "Bringing the league into disrepute" is all it requires - and that is determined solely at Goodell's discretion and judgement.

Your point is well made. My only argument against is this: Goodell could have interviewed witnesses in the Ben R. case. Maybe even the "victim". However, in Merriman's case, Goodell will need an official report from the border patrol. Otherwise, this never happened at all.

  2. I assume it's just to see how well Rinehart looks with the 1's, or to simply light a fire under Levitre. It's pretty much a sure bet, barring injury, that Levitre will be a starting OG opening day.

That said, Gailey was clearly pissed with the OL and could be sending a message that no job is safe. He may want to do that, as well as give Urbik as much work as he can with the ones, and see which guy between urbik and Rinehart looks better. Expect Levitre back in with the starters though.

Sal asked Chan last night about Levitre being replaced by Hangartner. Chan's response is at 1:46 in the video: http://www.buffalobills.com/media-center/videos/Chan-Gailey-on-Waiving-Maybin-Monday-Practice/c748fdd2-74d3-40a0-ad4c-6c3876bf781c

  3.

The window itself is in center field, a little left of the mound. The entrance to Bleacher Bar is about where the left-field wall bends into center. It's on the other side of Lansdowne from HOB, maybe about halfway between HOB and the Cask N' Flagon. Great place to watch a Sox game as well.

As for parking, I can't help you there. I would think there's some reasonable options as long as the Red Sox aren't playing, though.

Gotcha. I know exactly where you're talking about.. Thanks. I was going to head to the Harp for the opener but, if the sox aren't playing, I'll try the Bleacher.

  4. BOSTON, MA

    Bills Backers of Fenway

    The Bleacher Bar

Inside the center field wall of Fenway Park with a large garage door that opens up to the field when the weather is nice. Proprietors go out of their way to order Western NY specialties for us: labatt, bison dip, beef on weck, occasionally genny screamers, garbage plates. They play Shout! probably too often, but if you're like me, the song never gets old and actually gets better with every beer. Be sure to sign up to get on the email list if you're a local. Also hosted a Bills draft party and all Sabres playoff games.

Personally, I'm partial to the Bleacher Bar. Crowd has been a bit rowdier and the ownership treats us like they really want us there.

I have never been to The Bleacher Bar. The website says it's on Lansdowne, which would be the left field wall. Is it close to the House of Blues? Any decent parking?

  5. Levi Brown or someone else would be our developmental QB on the PS. Smith would be our gameday #3 just in case #1 and #2 go down. He would not take any WR slot, which barring injury will be Evans, Stevie, Roscoe, DNelson and Easley, with Donald Jones likely our #6 unless Brad Smith would take his place as a gunner. Smith would play Wildcat QB, whatever crazy package Chan thinks up for him, some RB and some WR, depending on the formation and package. He would help our team in numerous ways (although, again, the need for signing an ILB and maybe a RT is not affected by this whatsoever)

Exactly. Our division rivals all have strong defenses.. Smith would give Chan 3 dangerous toys(CJ, Roscoe, Smith) that can create havoc in open space. All relatively cheap too.

  6. Have any of you who have signed up for text alerts from the Bills received any in the past few days? I'm signed up but want to be sure I am receiving the updates for any player movements this week. I did receive the response text from the Bills when I signed up, but that was a few weeks ago.

I've been signed up for years and haven't received any texts lately..

  7. Ironically, the things she was found guilty of, lying to the police, repeatedly, only extended the time it took to find a body, and, in this case, her lying helped her. So, crime does pay, sometimes. Great lesson learned. Whether she killed that baby, or it was an accident, or somebody else killed the baby...I have no doubt that Casey Anthony knows what happened, and who is responsible.

Another thing I find ironic, Casey's mother, perjured herself under oath. If that charge was pursued (and I know it won't be...why extend this farce and embarass the courts any more?), she could face up to 15 years in prison.

It's funny(no, not really) but, I usually avoid these trials and keep my BS opinions to myself.. However, a cold & bad weather kept me in the house last weekend and I watched a lot of the trial coverage.

It was the tapes of Casey talking to her family that makes me certain she murdered Caylee. If you've ever met a parent that recently and suddenly lost a child, their devastation is palpable. Casey's "surprise, surprise" comment told me she wasn't bothered by Caylee's death at all. The prosecution did terribly with what little they had and the jury acquitted Casey. I understand that... But, this family is filled with lying scumbags that need to be slapped around. If I was the prosecutor, any charge that I could make stick against Casey, Cindy or George, I'd make it my mission to get them the maximum possible... Although, I'm a vindictive p***k by nature and have zero legal experience. ;)

  8. One of the perks of being a Club seat holder is being able to attend Buffalo Bills events like the annual "State of the Bills" Chris Brown who I have met before at Buffalo Bills Booster meetings asked me to say a few words which he got on tape. IM first up and start speaking before the video comes on. Edited out were some of the criticisms I had for both sides in the labor dispute and my opinion that I wasn't very high on either Newton or Gabbert and that's OK as far as IM concerned. I belive it is video number 2 on BuffaloBills .com

Great job Steve! I'm sorry I had to miss it.

  9. There were a bunch of "I can't believe they played that" songs. I'm guessing you're talking about Crown of Thorns? The whole night seemed like it was a bit off of their usual set list. Release to open. Push Me Pull Me (yeah, never even considered that as an option). Soldier of Love instead of Last Kiss (thank god). Undone isntead of Down. I loved every second of it. In My Tree and Smile are two songs that I could gladly listen to at every show.

And my seats were as good as I expected.

I was in a elevator with two pissed off security guys last night. They were complaining the show went an hour longer then was allowed and they don't get OT... I thanked them for their service.

What a great night. I can't wait to get the boot..
